    Having some fun in the mountains. This was my first time on this road and I was nervous! Tight turns meant a lot of acceleration and high electronics temperatures. I'm geared for 47 MPH here and it was pretty difficult on the board in the steeper sections. I think I need a SS..

    Sup bro, good to see you pushing the limits on the streets and not on pathways. I just bailed on a Lacroix, busted 3 ribs, hopefully they heal without a problem. Just a heads up, you crash going this speed and you will most likely ruin your life. The likelihood of death is pretty high. I've been thinking if riding at these speeds is more dangerous than riding a bike and it might be, since you are standing up and unlike the bike, the board doesn't take any of the impact. It's really made me think about the board a lot more. Maybe you have contemplated it, maybe not. Just keep it in mind, we tend to get used to the speed.

      Sorry to hear about your crash. Heal up quickly. I'm fully aware of the repercussions of riding like this. I've taken many spills and had many hospital visits over the years from this hobby and various others. I sometimes lay in bed at night and tell myself I need to slow down and find less consequential hobbies, but it is what it is. Thanks for looking out

    • @wiggpickle
      @wiggpickle  Před 2 lety

      Vest settings are high, but not too high as the 4p pack doesn't allow me to pull too much amperage without the voltage dropping too low. I need to find a way to add power stats for sure

    • @wiggpickle
      @wiggpickle  Před 3 lety

      Just gives you something to work against. A good longboarder could beat me downhill. No longboarder can beat me uphill lol. Also, downhill speeds would be 10+ mph faster and these boards are inherently unstable at those speeds. It's always a balance of stability and handling. A board setup for 60mph stability wouldn't handle these tight turns well.

      @wiggpickle  Před 2 lety +1

      Awesome board. The only thing I would recommend is good maintenance (tire pressure, kingpin adjustment and lubrication, checking all bolts, etc.) I believe lacroix has the bms setup to charge lower than 75.6V in attempt to extend the life of the pack. I believe there are writeups on how to change those settings

      Yeah, exactly. Fully loosen both grub screw, twist truck to one side, remove and replace, tighten grub screws as necessary. I use general purpose wax to keep the squeaking down.
