This is the best one so far. Have seen many of them.
THIS IS GENIOUS!!! So simple, yet so efficient! Thank you!
i can confirm, great tool, works just fine
Very good video! Thank you!!!!
That awesome thanks for the tip....
I like it!!!
Nice !
Mazay DIY 🙏👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I've made it, and its so effective 'n efficient! thnks mazzay👍
Where you get those style wheels?
@@gregchulski6241 bearing...
I'm going to make this one! In the next two days, maybe even tomorrow, it will be done. Thank you for the great, simple design.
Good luck! I would be happy if you post a link to a photo of the finished jig
@@MazayDIY As I prepared to make this jig, I looked at the castor wheel I had to emulate yours. There's quite a bit of play in the wheel, going up and down, side to side. This is standard for all the castor wheels, part of their manufacturing process. Its different to using bearings riding on a piece of round stock which would be true and stable. Does your castor wheels exhibit movement or flex in their chassis and if so, does this affect the sharpening jig?
@@MazayDIY well, I did it as promised. I have sharpened a chisel and a small bullnose plane iron (Stanley 75). The former was a very badly chipped - my fault - MOB French made chisel and the latter was a new acquisition with about 4 different angles on it. I used two old stones to do it, very cheap ones. I did well over 1500 push pull motions to totally redo the chisel, and about 1000 on the plane iron. I learned later on that a piece of 320 sandpaper on top of the rough stone did more metal removal than the stone. What a time saver! Of course, each was hair shaving sharp after stropping, but the Stanley 75 just plain sucks, digging into the wood despite it being properly set up. I love my jig, thanks for showing the way. Made mine from oak and fancy brass wing nuts. Also added 400 grit sandpaper to the insides of the holding area of the jig to grasp the chisel/iron better. It will marr the surface though, so do be careful. I was finding that the oak, despite not being polished, was letting the object shift ever so slightly despite being cranked down super tight. Last observation is that the castor wheels arent perfectly round, nor spin perfectly round on their axles. But, worked well enough for jam. Cheers!
👍👍👍👌

What are those wheels from?
great video, where did you buy the casters.. thanks
So what are the little wheels called? Casters?
what are the mini wheels called? And where do you get them? Thanks
Dareen, it's a Fixed Caster Wheels. You can buy them at a furniture hardware store.

Thank you for this video what is the name of the roller you put on it

Mazay DIY
Thank you appreciate it very much
i just used wheels off toy truck :P
I guess you can do without the wheels too, right? It just won't work so smoothly, but it will WORK...
Where did you get the wheels?
Adam, I bought them at a furniture hardware store
You can use similar wheels, like this - www.ebay.com/itm/1x-IKEA-CASTER-WHEEL-FIXED-15-mm-Steel-Gray-Part-109775-/192976164152
@@MazayDIY Thanks
I really hate it when people don't edit there footage to the shortest time possible as to not waste others time. Yes we get it your trying to get the bolts to set flush we don't need to see you tighten and loosen both of them all the way.
Really that's dumb how to set the correct angle that's the entire point of a jig.
I really hate it when some narcissistic ass who is consuming free content whines about a few seconds of time. Go play with marbles in traffic Jeremy.
Buen día ! Cómo se llaman esas rueditas? Para ir al comercio y comprar
¡Buenas tardes!
Where did you get the casters?
