  • Self-compassion isn't the same as over-identification of your suffering or self-victimisation. Sometimes, self-compassion also means learning to step aside from suffering and letting it go with wisdom.
    Mastering the traditional steps of loving-kindness (metta) can also impact into your way of being. First you give to yourself, followed by your loved ones, then to difficult situations and finally to your work (or the world).
