But you are not at all correct or justified to call them 'evil' or destructive full stop, or without context. That means you've given China and Russia a free pass in the same sentence for their very same behaviour. What the criticism of the US is about is a permanent potential reality in both China and Russia, and they critically make no process of governmental accountability process ongoingly available to their people and also make no apologies for it. It is MUCH more difficult to safely run an open democracy than a closed dictatorship, and to ongoingly maintain its value, quality and sanctity over time. When judging the failures of such nations to live up to their values it is crucial that they be considered in the context of the asymmetry of the greater challenges they ongoingly assume for the benefit of its people and for humanity at large. You can't call the US 'evil' for simply protecting its interests. And especially not when letting other nations off for protecting theirs, and not without recognizing the competitive nature of international involvement and the truly existential nature of the potential consequences. Simply not honest or fair at all. Very often the people who tend toward simplified criticism do so from an idealist perspective itself indicating and resulting from the gifts of peace and success of the nation they criticize- that perspective, the time and money they have to spend complaining, and the national/social tolerance of that behaviour and perspective are all products of the very success itself- moral success included. One reason the US is not 'pure evil' is because you can stand inside it and say that, and hold it to account for the ways it has been. This is not true in any of it's real competitors and that puts it well above them in a general sense, even in instances it has been needlessly destructive; the others certainly have been as well, and notably are competitively on the other side of the table during every difficult international situation. But they have no similar path of internal accountability- you *can not safely* criticize them from the inside nor effectively hold them to account for being 'evil'. Without taking this fully into account no body has any business criticising the US. If the critics are American or allied they also lack fundamental gratitude and perspective and really need to rethink things. The safety that enables that criticism isn't a guarantee and can certainly be taken away. Most places aren't nearly so tolerant. It also *will* be taken away in time if it isn't sufficiently respected and given its due-and currently, increasingly it's not. Be careful.

Its easy to say while safe I'd rather die free than a slave but i whole heartedly believe I'd fight with my family if we all aggreed what's happening is wrong.
interesting fact: China has one of the largest military personnel in the world. We're talking well over 2 million soldiers active, with another half million in reserve at any given time, and more than half a million paramilitary contractors. In total, we're talking about a military force in excess of 3 million people. By comparison, the US only has 1.3 million active-duty, with another half million in reserve. So a war with China would obviously need to be fought autonomously and technologically because they have overwhelming numbers. One of the reasons Vietnam was seemingly unbeatable was because Vietnam has the highest percentage of enlisted and active military personnel in the world per capita. They have a military with over 5 million soldiers! Why would anyone consider an invasion of a country that has a population with over 50% enlisted military personnel?
Cause war is not about soilders it’s about geography and weapons which the Us have more of and China is completely surrounded by US bases and weapons check the map
The US obviously would not be fighting against China alone. The rest of the Western World would immediately join in and fight against China. That's the UK, Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Germany, France and basically all of NATO joining in on the same side as the US + Taiwain. I think in a major war such as a war between the US and China, there'd be a lot of conscripts being used by both sides. China does have A LOT more fighting age men than Europe + North America combined so that'll be a problem, but the West and China are pretty evenly matched in terms of quantity of trained soldiers. However, China has 30,000,000 (THIRTY MILLION) men who have absolutely no hope of ever getting a girlfriend, no hope of ever getting married, no hope of ever having kids, and no hope of ever having a family due to the one child policy which forced Chinese families to only have one female child while encouraging them to produce as many male children as possible. This has lead to a massive numeric disparity between the genders. 30,000,000 men with absolutely no prospect of ever having a wife and kids is a very dangerous thing. They'll make for perfect conscripts if a major war between the West and China ever occurs. The perfect cannon fodder.
@@LanMandragon1720 You always need infantry to capture and hold land in a war. The navy would play a huge role in a war with China, yes. But so would the Army and Air force. The US Military uses combined arms strategy nowadays; Navy, Army, and Air Force all work together in concert. The US Navy would never fight a battle or war alone, they would always have the Army and Air Force with them. For example, the Navy would bombard the beaches to destroy Chinese defenses and use missiles to destroy military targets and SAM sites while the Marines and Army land on said beaches and secure them before advancing further inland while the Air Force provides air support and cover for the infantry on the ground as well as defending Navy ships from Chinese aircraft and destroying further military targets on land. See, It's all combined. Branches don't operate independently. Branches operating independently was a disaster for the Japanese during WW2 and resulted in many thousands of deaths and many lost battles. Conversely, you can see how beneficial the combined arms strategy was during Desert Storm. Combined arms is simply superior and we will actually see it on a smaller scale during the Ukraine war. NATO has been training thousands of Ukrainian soldiers in NATO combined arms tactics, specifically using infantry, MBTs and IFVs in concert - the same way NATO militaries operate. We will see how effective it is when they've finished training and when the Western MBTs arrive in Ukraine. Russians don't stand a chance against NATO equipment operated by NATO trained Ukrainian soldiers using NATO strategy.

Be careful.
How crazy is this just finished watching Snowden and this is the 1st thing recommended to me by utube 👀

"I dont know why the people doesnt see China as a menace" - well, because you have Disney and videogames companies trying to sell as much as possible there and other manufacturers are building their things in factories there. This didnt happened with the soviets.

A war with China would be primarily navsl,so though numbers would still matter. They would matter less so then in a ground campaign.
@@LanMandragon1720
You always need infantry to capture and hold land in a war.
You all have no idea what you’re talking about. China stands NO chance at military invasion against U.S. and our biggest Ally is TWO oceans 🤣🤣 they’d more likely target our electrical infrastructure
