    Thx for your useful videos. It’s inspiring to watch a different approach of using filters, envelopes and effects .. especially the compression part.,Maybe you can try to do a tutorial about the different compressor effects and give is you thoughts about each individual one.
    Thx

    I have akai 2000xl and mpd 26 controllers
    Its perfect velocity pad
    Now i took mpc live its good but compared to mpd 26 ets velocity and threshold are not good because when i play on triggers mpclive takes only above 30-127 velocity values am a live orchestra player iwant play hihates snare rolls ets..with very low dynamic range its not coming in mpclive i tryd to set in mpc live preference mode but not coming wt i want in recording we can adjust velocity values but when we play on live stage its necessary to play with velocity levels right .... So can u plsss help me how to set velocity wt a i want in mpclive standalone mode

    I would have leveled the individual drum sounds before adding any FX to the whole drumkit. Just my 2 cents, though 😎

    • @TUBEDIGGA
      @TUBEDIGGA  Před 3 lety +1

      The reason I add the effect before is so I can hear the kit altogether and make the necessary level adjustments therafter. Otherwise making the level adjustments before seems a waste of time as the effect most likely will cause me to adjust them anyway. But I’d be interested to know why you do it the other way round.

    • @MakingMadBeats
      @MakingMadBeats Před 3 lety

      @@TUBEDIGGA Well, e.g. in the video you say that the snare is too loud which can be seen in the sampled loop, like you showed us. Then you use the gain effect to compensate that. This would not have been necessary if you had leveled the snare before and just turned it down to fit to the level of the kick and the hats. Or did u see the gain fx as a creative effect/sound design effect?

    • @TUBEDIGGA
      @TUBEDIGGA  Před 3 lety +2

      @@MakingMadBeats The gain process
      function was to purposely saturate the bounced loop. It’s one of the best ways to artificially boost a samples overall loudness. I don’t have a set order of processes thatI follow, I deal with things as they come up or are made apparent. Also, the large majority of my videos are not planned at all. I’m free styling as I would in the studio on my own but talking my audience through it.

    Why did you chop off the hihat samples, if you were going to shorten them with envelopes?

    • @TUBEDIGGA
      @TUBEDIGGA  Před 3 lety +1

      I tried it first, that's all. Sure, i could have just used the envelopes. My tutorials are seldom planned, so I just do what I feel necessary as I go along.

    • @yzimsx
      @yzimsx Před 3 lety

      @@TUBEDIGGA Ok, actually I thought, these chopped-off hihats sound really bad, I wonder what he's going to do with them ... and then you used the envelopes. :) I got an MPC One for a couple of weeks now, and I'm trying to see what and how people do with the MPC. So far it seems that the only sort of music people actually do is basically the old choppy-stuttery sample clippery, like cutting off pieces from photos and building a picture out of those. But "real" music is not done, and I'm inclined to think that it's not even possible. There's no smooth continuous audio warp like Ableton's "Complex Pro", no warp markers and audio quantize, there's not even cross-fades for audio track regions. The only possibility you're left with is the clipped photo composition sort of art.

      @@yzimsx Each machine's limitations causes you to think more and be more creative. Don't compare machines because they are all different. Just learn the limitations and advantages of them all and use them accordingly. No one machine is perfect and no one D.A.W is perfect they all have limitations that's why it's not fair to compare them. Learn to master as many machines and D.A.W.'s as possible and your creativity will expand exponentially.

    • @yzimsx
      @yzimsx Před 3 lety

      @@SirMalikCobra There's no reason for not having something as rudimentary as cross-fades, except prioritizing developer hours. Of course you compare machines and you tell the makers about it, it's called feedback.

    • @SirMalikCobra
      @SirMalikCobra Před 3 lety

      @@yzimsx Comparing is useless... You either find a machine useful or you don't. I never said don't give a dev feedback. Feedback is critical. I doubt you find a machine that has met everything on your checklist and if you do just get that machine. I have my issues with Akai and and the incomplete looper they put on the Live and X but comparing fixes nothing. Feedback is 100 pecent necessary necessary though.
