    Do you like using the MPC X? I have the MPC One and really like the layout of the buttons but since I'm using a lot of Korg Gadgets from my iPad, I don't get to use the Q Links as often as I would like. Instead I use the knobs from MPK Mini MK3. The ecosystem is nice but some odd quirks like midi channels don't get summed to a Master bus. You have to bounce it and then assign it to a pad and play the whole thing again if you want to render the full track with everything.
    But I have to resort to doing it this way because Korg Gadget doesn't have proper sequencer but the modules sound amazing for musical sketches. MPC has a good sequencer and I can use the chord function and experiment with different phat ambient pads. Essential for the music I make.
    Do you know if there's a way to record audio directly from the headphone port? Any special cables or devices?

    Do you normally make multiple beats under one project? I've thought about doing this to simplify my workflow and sounds i like to use.

    • @PeteOnTheBeat
      @PeteOnTheBeat Před 2 lety

      I used to that on the DAW. Like, I'm working on a beat and "by mistake" a make cool vibe,like a bassline or something,that doesn't fit into what I'm doing. So i copy it to another sequence. My Vibraphone Chronicles are all from the same project. One was the second verse of the other and then i turned it into a full beat eheh

    • @roddy9372
      @roddy9372 Před 2 lety +1

      @@PeteOnTheBeat i've tried it a time or two. It helped to recreate a "sound" i dialed into. You just have to be careful of what tracks you're using and what things you're changing. And making sure you save correctly. Kinda a double-edged sword.

    Owning an MPC1000, I wonder whether it has a comparable feature as the sample offset?
    Did you own or try a 1000 / 2500 and found such a feature?

      Huge sample libraries are counter productive , the more you have - the less chancr of finding the ones you want.
