had an orc that came back over 15 times, all his limbs where metal but his head and when i finally cut his head off he got turned into a zombie, god i love this game
I had an Orc who could be instantly killed by stealth attacks. Every single time I assassinated him he came back. The hard part was the fact he was ONLY weak to stealth attacks and had too many advantages to take him head-on when I did try to do so. And for whatever reason he kept returning to one specific part of the map (I forgot which area) so every time I would run by that place I would see him again. It took half an hour or so of regular combat to execute him without stealth killing him for him to stay dead permanently

He wasn't missing a QTE, Zog is a Trickster, so he gets the Tricky Escape ability, which allows him to get back up the first time you bring him to that QTE execution state
@@flipacoin570 tricky escape lets them get up and escape (despawn) without activating the QTE (similar to assassins no chance ability) but in the zog fight the QTE comes up, which means Zog doesnt have it, or it doesnt activate for him. kev was just missing the prompt, more then likely for entertainment over incompetence.
I refuse to believe he accidentally failed the QTE twice, at that point you are throwing for content lmao
So glad to see this game get the love it deserves, honestly some of the most fun I've had playing and watching a game

18:51 is still the HYPEST moment in this game. They did great with Talion/Celebrimbor speeches in the game as they give me chills each time I hear them. It is just sad how right after this super hyped moment you get the depressing backstab
Oh yeah that last zog fight is so tricky. It is cool that his undead captains are prominent orcs you've killed before though. Bruz was there for me once though! That was cool

I find myself going through and beating this multiple times every year. The combat, brutality, and story are all great. Even if it’s not at all canonical and kinda disrespects tolkiens work, I can look passed a lot of that, because of how good it is in a lot of parts.
This was better then the gollum game and the rings of power tv show compared to others this is a lot better but I loved the og lord of the rings games
I don't think it disrespects his work, it's certainly not canonical and definitely has a different take on many different ideas, but I still think it respects it, especially when you look at Rings of Power and Gollum.
@@jameseustice7144 just because those were more disrespectful doesn’t mean this did not. It’s all a bunch of hoopla that spits on the original work lmfao. Shelob shapeshifting? Never happened. Talon defeating the balrog? 😂 becoming a Nazgûl? All that shit is a lot more than liberties. It’s still fun, but I’d have liked it more had they stayed more within the confines of what was written. The combat is the thing that keeps me coming back, the voice acting is alright too.

I beat this game 6 times and it never gets old this was one of the best games I’ve ever played and especially being a lord of the rings fan it did it justice so many unique things that games today simply do not have
This was the first game I ever platinumed, one of the greatest games ever!
It's not over there's a true ending after you play through shadow war. I think it's Shadow wars 10. it's pretty worth it if you're invested into the game and Talion lore haha
However Shadow Wars was really a crappy move just to add more unnecessary hours on this otherwise gem of a game

@@DarkVadorRulez It made complete sense to have it lore-wise, you're meant to really feel that eternal war Talion is locked in, and it wasn't like you would miss out on much by not getting that final cutscene. The game is finished by the time you get to the shadow wars, it's not like a key bit of story was locked behind the epilogue.

@@rodrigobogado8756 Partially that but the 10 stages was just too much it was so damn repetitive , in my original playthrough I only bought one orc box which was to beat the final arena round in Minas Morgul to get the revive dead captains skill as I didn't have an orc high enough level but I used gold that I earned doing the online revenge missions but those still shouldn't have been in a single player game
I love both war and mordor. The nemesis system is god tier. One of the greatest systems in gaming. I'll never forget a certain boss battle in this game that blew me away.

both shadow of mordor and shadow of war were such good games. They flew so far under the radar that hype level never truly hit what they deserved, but when they released it was like HOLY SHIT I FORGOT ABOUT THIS!

If you really love the lord of the rings games, you should try out the Hobbit 2003 game. it’s got a decent mix of action and puzzles. On top of that, the voice acting is surprisingly great. Each level(chapter) feels very unique and entertaining. Plus Sting looks soooo cool in the game.

Can we finally admit that, in hindsight, all that backlash from tolkien fanboys clamoring how this game "made Tolkien spin in his grave" was exaggerated? good gods, those guys were so annoying, SOW is a great game and the changes it made to the lore, even if not canon and was in fact an alternate universe, were great.
I hope kev will be able to play one of the overlord games series someday they are really fun to play.

My favorite lord of the rings game was war in the north or war of the north I replayed it multiple times and loved the finishing move that sounded like a slurping noise

I once had an orc who was my bodyguard, he died, cheated death to save me from another Captain, died again, cheated death again, all in the space of 20 minutes. He was made Overlord shortly after.

The part near the end where Talion gets his new ring was always so cool to me. The fact that it wasn't just a cosmetic change but actually changed some of your abilities was awesome and felt thematically appropriate.

These are hacked Uruks & they only exist on PC. They are clear sign of cheaters using a program to build ''unbeatable Uruks''. This doesn't exist on consoles, which I'm grateful for.
