@@mrcram8446 That's what I'm saying. I know the revelation *came,* but I'm surprised it didn't come much sooner. I'd have written some dialogue in Arkham Knight referencing it. Something like "Yeah, I should'a guessed after what happened in Arkham City" and he not be *that* surprised.

I once heard at how Batman in these games canonically did all of this in one night. The thing is that I believed it 100%.
I refuse to believe the events of knight are possible in one night while the other games i can see it as doable
All of them apart from Arkham knight can be completed in like 6-8 hours so it’s doable

In this game, Strange literally says 'by the end of tonight, i'll be a hero' so atleast for City, Batman did do the entire game in one night.
Funny thing: After you defeat the penguin thugs as bruce before you leave you can punch the penguin

You can actually punch and knock him out before any of the thugs even rush you. Most speedrunners do this to get the combo flow faster

Honestly, I kinda jumped when I knocked Penguin out, I really didn’t expect that detail in a 2011 game so the sudden “BANG” had me tweakin

The fact the rug physics are more realistic in a 2011 game than a 2023 game would be is absolutely wild.

Except this isn't what people had in 2011. This is the remastered version. I even double checked the original version
One of the dream game ideas I’ve seen from others is if Warner made an Arkham game with the Nemesis System from Shadow of Mordor/War. Challenging? Maybe. But the potential is limitless.
Imagine thugs keeping tabs on you setting traps and jumping you like the orcs do.
They were making a Wonder woman game using the nemesis system but DC is very not good or popular these days so it might be scrapped

Man I miss that feeling of hitting the counter button and grabbing some dude's arm mid-attack before kicking him in the face. As fun as Spider-Man 2 is, the addition of a parry where you just cross your arms in front of you to block flamethrowers and sword attacks is not remotely as satisfying as a proper block and counter animation
Having replayed all 4 games recently i still think this was the best of them all
Asylum and City are my favorites of the series

Man my friends and I played this game nonstop back in high school. I think we all pre-ordered it too. I still think this game has the best intro in the Arkham franchise. Playing as Bruce Wayne for a little bit was pretty cool. Still my favorite is Origins because of the Slade boss fight lol 😂. Also I love the art on your video pictures. Really awesome 😎👍🏼
Origins has the better story too. So I’d say it’s better or tied up with Arkham city.
I preferred arkham Bane. Gadgets and armor vs. rediculous steroids
City is my favorite, though I havent gotten a chance to play Origins yet (down on my 360 controller is broken, I need a new monitor for my PC, AND it wasn't released on Switch like the rest)
I have fond memories of playing Arkham city and tormenting criminals with baterangs while my little brother watched seeing if we could hit them in the butt, crotch, head, etc we thought it was the funniest thing ever

I replayed Asylum/City/Knight this past spring and man...they were my fave games when they were newer, but WOW did they age well for the most part. Fantastjc stories and gameplay, was re-blown away

Imma have to go with Arkham Knight as the best, but to me that's because I love having the batmobile (especially in the end when you can change the skins and play with classic ones), the improved flying, bigger scale, the stories of both are honestly generally as good as each other

Yess finally someone brings up origins for the work they did. Even the multiplayer was good and had a cool take putting you in the shoes of thugs from different villains
Edit: Nolan North voiced so many thugs in this it’s kinda funny
I love that every other basic goon is voiced by Nolan North (Nathan Drake)
I love the new spiderman games by insomniac but they dont have the flow of these games. I just love how fluid the combat feels and the stealth is just so fun. Love this game and glad to see you play it.

I would say that each Batman video game has it’s own strength:
Asylum had the best atmosphere
City had the best story
Origins had the best boss fights
Knight had the best gameplay
Gotham Knights had the best character moments.
this was my first big game i ever play as a child and i remember loving it
23:20 I shot snot out and had a coughing fit after he says, "im gonna destroy these guys below me." Then proceeds to gently glide down and land next to a guy who gives him a "PAP!" right to the side of the head 😂. The proclamation, the silence and then the sound effect was just too damn funny 😂

Arkham City and Origins had a much better story and are GREAT games. However, for me, Arkham Knight is still the best game in the series. It still holds up today. Incredible combat, graphics etc. Story let it down slightly but I still enjoyed greatly.
