- The Mercedes-AMG GT C Coupe is priced and specified to rival high-end Porsche 911s but in many respects the Merc is a totally different animal.
Its twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 gives it astonishing pace and a truly awe-inspiring soundtrack, while its whale-sized grille and elongated bonnet combine to give it a strong hint of old-school American muscle car.

I have a 2016 AMG GTS and I love it. I've in the past also owned 911s but I find these two cars to be very different and yet similar in some ways. The AMG has more power and equal handling to a 911 S. I like the size of the AMG with it's width and long hood. Also, the interior is a bit more luxurious.
This has some incredible road presence that I don't this any Porsche has, looks brilliant
The exterior is just top class
Beautiful car, probably the best car to go for in the AMG GT range, as the GTR is a probably a handful for everyday driving.

Great review! Good information on the driving, glad it's not just me that had the same issue with the seat position, i.e. centre console buttons / gear selector being too far back. Still a nice motor thou' !
How the hell he keeps on bangin about how "huge" it is...It has a long bonnett but the car itself is actually as big as the Porsche 911 within 5cms...

The GTC sits between the "normal" GT cars and the track-focused GTR. More power, Panamericana grill, etc.
Zhou Ye me too. But I guess it also stands for coupé
Gtc is a gts with the widebody and rear steering from the gtr.
C is not for Coupé?

I notice that the microphone you were using was giving bad feedback noise, which got worse as the car accelerated, might just be the device, but i wondered if that had a link to the car's NVH, also notice that the drivers seat flexes underneath you, it's not as well bedded to the rear bulkhead, but i guess it is to be somewhat expected from a composite component. Basically the gist i get here is that Merc have made a seriously good drivetrain, (including suspension, brakes and steering) but I get the feeling there's some added refinement that they've neglected for the £140,000 price tag. Still though very nice review.
Unfortunately, the noise is the mic recorder picking up a telephone signal. The reviewer has been advised to switch his phone to airplane mode in future while recording.

would rather have an aston martin db11 or a bentley continental gt. cant beat british gt cars.
British cars are shit... the conti isn’t shit because it’s a German car with a British brand and the db11 is very mediocre (also, it uses a lot of Mercedes components such as the engine)
Funny i nerer likd Mercs...buttha last 5 years, their cars are more impressive than even BMW or Audi! I would love to own the A45 hatch!

Well if you drive on a track, the GTC would beat the AMG E63, as it has a lower weight, better handling, and the GTC is more of a trackc ar in the first place.
