If may I do a suggestion, turn on "do not disturb" at night is better than set all volumes down. I'm based on fact that you could receive an urgent calling from your parents or child, for example.

One clever hack I got from other videos is for the Protect battery. Just create a routine where, if battery level is more than or equal to 99% and charging status is charging, then turn on protect battery. The battery will stop charging at 99%. That way you don't have to ever worry about missing that 15% charge when you normally use the protect battery option.

Running a S21. Recent (12/22) update impacted the edge panel function. I have talked at length with Samsung techs, but it is a Google app, one of the bloat ware that comes with the phone. It is one of the more useful for me. Seems like I'll have to wait for the next patch to be issued.
Can someone that is Samsung settings savvy, tell me how to write a routine is settings that creates a button on the Home screen that, with one click, it opens Settings, then Display, then turns off then back on Edge Panel. Something I can click one my edge panel gets reset, that us, made available to use it. If I click SETTINGS>DISPLAY > Toggle OFF > Toggle ON, the Edge Panel reappears. Then, when I execute an app from the Edge Panel, like open FB, CZcams TV, MAIL, Edge Panel disappears. Going through the routine layed out above.I discover Edge Panel is still toggled on, but doesn't display until I turn it off and then back on. TIA should you write a routine I can implement.😊

Thanks for the video. Don't you know that the first one you did is part of all android phones and is in the phones security section anyway?

When I am leaving my house or leaving my job I have my phone turn on Waze automatically. Then when I get to my destination I have Waze turn off

The second one seems clever, but most likely if you’re in a coffee shop or wherever, you’re likely no longer connected to your car’s Bluetooth ,so WiFi protect won’t be on.

This is why most people use Iphones! The customization is WAY beyond most people and prefer the clunky simple interface! Many people have NO desire or the know how to live in the Android world and just want to use apps in their simplest forms and have Apple track their ever move and how much apps are used. At least with Google you can turn off MANY tracking features that are beyond most Apple users and they are oblivious and do not care!

You're wrong. Apple will literally ask you the first time you launch an app if you want the app to be able to track your activity. Android does not do that. Apple also has shortcuts which is similar to routines.

@@DG_TX ; OK you think Apple and Google don't track things simply because you said "don't track" LOL! I got some swamp land I wanna sell you! Apple and Google MAKE THEIR MONEY by tracking and app usage habits and there NO way around it! You think Apple ain't making MONEY by tracking and selling that information? Really?? They BOTH do this and just READ their user statements you agree to to use either brand! I'm NOT saying one brand is better than the other as they BOTH track you and is a matter of preference to the end user.

Apple does have something similar called "Shortcuts". I used it when I had an iPhone. I switched to Samsung after a few weeks, Android is so much more flexible!!!

Something I wish that samsung implemented is a better driving mode that is based on motion rather than a Bluetooth device.

I don't have routines so this doesn't work for me. I just want what my old phone did, have a battery saver with darkend screen with limited apps but phone usage.

If you buy the far superior Galaxy Buds 2 Pro, you don't have to set it to ring on your earbuds.
