- It may have taken 4+h of work to swap the stem for something reasonable, but I finally got to ride my 2023 Focus Sam 2 or Sam² 6.8! It feels like a DH bike downhill and like a shuttle bus going back up.

I dont get why you had to re-route the cables, I have the 2022 version and love the clean routing.

Hey! I saw the battery cover came off - did you hit it that bad or it was just mounted poorly?

Probably hit it because he's running too soft a spring :)

No, I will call the LBS out this now as I broke yet another cover this weekend...
Ok so I now have the new upgraded, metal bashplate version. However, I noticed the rear wheel was loose and all bolts were torqued to spec. Bike is currently at my not so local bike store. Why didn't they just tell me about the upgraded cover is beyond me...

The focus rep for my area didn't know there was an upgrade. Really poor communication from focus to it's staff and suppliers.
