  • In this Excel video tutorial, we gonna see How to Make Interactive Calendar in Excel using only Basic Formulas and functions in Excel and this dynamic calendar in Excel is also Fully Customizable. You can choose the colors, the conditional formatting to highlight automatically cells based on a criteria, the design etc.
We are going to use some important formulas in Excel and tools and functions. Such as, DATE, VLOOKUP, EOMONTH, WEEKDAY, Conditional formatting and Drop-down list.
The DATE function is used to create a date value from individual year, month, and day components.
The VLOOKUP function searches for a value in the first column of a table and returns a value in the same row from a specified column.
The EOMONTH function returns the last day of the month, a specified number of months in the future or past.
The WEEKDAY function returns the day of the week corresponding to a date.
Conditional Formatting is a powerful tool that allows you to apply specific formatting to cells that meet certain criteria. Example: You can highlight cells greater than a certain value, or you can create a color gradient based on the values in a range.
A Drop-down List allows users to select a value from a predefined list, making data entry more consistent and error-free.

tip: maybe explain how this would be more useful rather then using the default pc calendar. my reason is why invent something that is already working., so your first 30 sec, did not convince me, to continue watching your video. but I am being grateful to spend 5 min to leave a comment that will hopefully be as useful as the video tutorial itself. 😘

I would rather compare the month of the calendar data to the selected month, hence one conditional formatting would take care of the dates that don't belong to the current month.

      =TEXT(B4,"mmmm")$B$2
Do not forget to check the "Applies to" in the conditional formatting dialog box, it should be for this instance :
      =$B$4:$H$9
