I liked him as a guest. He talks slowly and clearly puts A LOT of thought into what he wants to say and how he interprets situations. He would be great for deeper conversations lets say on the gender roles imposed by society, but most people want to watch an extended version of an Instagram meme. Some talk about side chicks, being obsessed with sex, and that guys are a certain way. I don't think he was a great addition to the panel because he doesn't add to the show the way people want a man to add to the show. He's clearly a very smart man who seems very enlightened and mature and I think people want a man who will reinforce what stereotypes the real usually portrays, which is frivolous, spontaneous and sex obsessed.
they had Tameras husband on who doesn't talk about sex and nonsense, and he was a great addition , so your argument is invalid. he's just boring, annoying, and uptight . straight men like this guy are the qorst
+Brian d because Adam knows how to play the game. How many times will Adam say "because men want ..." " Us men think ...". Taye was speaking as an individual and wasn't really entertaining the idea of generalizing and was trying to go deeper than just a surface level of being yourself. The hosts get saying "as a man, what do you think" and Taye would respond as an individual, and not a representative of his gender, where Adam does. ✌🏻️
"When meeting somebody for the first time, you're not meeting them. You are meeting their representative" -Chris Rock so nobody is ever completely themselves...
Adrienne wasn't playing when she said she gets everything from instagram 😂😂 I caught that lil "be yourself, everyone else is taken" quote at the end there
Dee Jay Ugh, I just watched his Wendy interview. He comes across as so arrogant. And him mocking Wendy's words was so rude! He acted like he didn't want to be there. Why even show up then? 😒
+gigglyfitzgirl taye diggs is irrelevant in the acting world IMO. He's liked because of his old movies. He should be glad somebody wanted to interview him.
A lot of people are not themselves on the first date because they have their guard up and they are nervous and they don't want to make a fool out of themselves. People should be themselves on the first date because if the person don't like you for who you are from the start, then they are probably not the right person for you.
I think a lot of ppl don't want to be themselves on the first date because being rejected for who you are is hurtful and it's a bit of a blow to the ego. I say be yourself, but the same way we use makeup and clothing to accentuate the best bits about ourselves is the same way that you can play up the strengths in your personality. You shouldn't hide your flaws so much as you should play up the traits that a potential mate would find more attractive.
+peanutjelly I've been rejected countless of times & it is hurtful. Very hurtful esp to go through it Repeatedly.. I think that's why I have a wall up & can't get fully comfortable when on a date or hanging with someone.. Idk... :/
I think everyone puts up a wall to some degree, but you run the risk of completely alienating yourself when you do that. It may be tough sometimes, but you have to put yourself out there if you want to make a connection with someone. And as hurtful as it might be for you to feel rejected for being who you are, imagine how great it feels for someone to completely fall in love with you for who you are. But that would never happen if you're pretending to be someone else. It also might be a good idea to change your mindset when it comes to dating. If the person you're dating decides not to move forward with a relationship, don't think about it as the person rejecting YOU per se; think of it as the person ending your relationship because the two of you just aren't compatible. It happens! Just move on to someone with whom you WILL be compatible. There's a lot of trial and error in the dating game, but when you find the one (notice I said "when"), it'll be worth it! :)
Isn't this the same Taye Diggs that said his son shouldn't be labeled as black but yet was messing around with some "black" ig model on the side while legally married. No thanks, he can keep his dating advice...🙅🏽
+bevz90 the issue that there should be NO issue about his son identifying with Black. The fact that he had to be outspoken with wanting his son to be called "mix" proves he has a lot of rooted issues in him.
+AquariusLady Gorgeouz im sorry, have you seen this chick? and that voice? chick knocks it out Everytime. lol. im bias. im obsessed with Idina. shes gorgeous. he let a good thing though. like, she's a huge name and she's got more money than him and has always been just as now, if not more famous.
I'm a black woman and very cool with Taye Diggs. I've spoke to him and a number of times at gatherings and he's a very nice, down to earth guy. He has a right to date or marry who the hell he wants. He's not even married to Idina anymore and they've been together for years before they even got married. There is no proof nor reliable source of Taye Diggs bashing black women. Google also has website with satirical articles that people make up. The only thing he mentioned was his son being mixed, which he his. He'll still be considered black, but that has nothing to do with him dissing black women. How you're going to tell someone who you don't personally know, and more likely never get with (no matter what preferences they may have) who to date/marry and who not to? Do you want anyone deciding your love life for you? I don't think so. I know I wouldn't.
Sons black period but with a white mother white racist society will definitely make him aware and one drop of black blood and you’re black period💯💯💯💯🙌🏽✊🏿✊🏾✊🏼✊🏽 what was Barack Obama called, the first biracial president lol not white people know whose white lol
I think be yourself on the first date. Too many people lie about who they are or what their intentions are and you find out months later. Never give it up on the first date ladies!
I love how the rest of the hosts completely ignored Loni's wack ass joke and continued on with the topic @3:45. Maybe if they continue doing that, she'll stop.
This made me think of that segment where they talked about eating on a first date and everyone was against Tamar for eating certain things on a first date ☕️
He was boring and when he tried to be funny it was awkward. His voice is too monotone. Add some excitement to your voice if you're going to tell jokes. Pfft, plus he gives off a weird vibe ;I
being yourself means not putting up a facade, not lying about what you want in a relationship, not lying about long term goals, not being excessively polite. you don't know a person wasn't being themselves until you really get to know them better.
I think why he said it sexist is because a woman can possibly be herself , while most dudes don't want to be theirselves because they might " scare " a woman away ! But I honestly think that being yourself is a kind of hard to do because you want to make a good impression but you might end up being TOO comfortable which can " scare" a person off as well !
'a Huffington post I read', I swear they say this every episode. should be 'a Huffington post one of our show researchers found so we have a topic today'
There are many facets to "being you". There is the "you" when you're by yourself that may be burping and such. There's the you with your friends. There's the you with your parents. There's the you at work. The you with your spouse (if you have one). One is not necessarily "more authentic" than the other. Each of them is an equally authentic piece of "you".
The trick is to always be the best version of yourself even when there's no one to impress... Then when you meet someone nice, you won't have to fake it.. It'll come naturally
I love the idea of having a male up here it actually shows different point of views and perspectives. This can also draw attention to more men 👏👏love it.
LONI is how I was on my first date w/ my husband. He took me to a nice restaurant at the top of our department store. I was like, I'm going to eat and I ATE
i liked the dynamic of having a man on the panel, they should really think about bringing one in permanently as one of the cohosts. i know a lot of the people who commented on this segment don't like taye but i thought he was alright (probably because i'm not really aware of his personal views that people are using to say he's a racist which is a real shame if he is).
I cant apologize for how I feel about Taye Diffs just like he doesn't apologize why he doesn't like black women neither doesn't he value Black Woman... So his polished "acting" persona can be dismissed!!! I respect no BLACK MAN who doesn't Respect Me or My sisters... The other race of women can HAVE HIM #GoodBye
I like Tamar and she can be funny, but it's nice for once for the other girls to give their opinion on a topic without being drowned out by Tamar. Weather you like the other girls opinion or not, at least you get to hear it. I think The Real should stick with the 4 girls and not try to have Tamar replaced. I also like it better when they do have guys as guest on the panel so that you can get a male's perspective on the Girl Chat segment.
I love this show, but it's definitely going to be missing some spunk and sass without Tamar. This conversation was very lackluster and I feel it would've been filled with a lot more energy, laughter and commentary if Tamar was there. #Justmyopinion
I liked him as a guest. He talks slowly and clearly puts A LOT of thought into what he wants to say and how he interprets situations. It's not an argument it's an opinion, which everyone is entitled to.
Great point, his complexity as a figure and conversationalist isn't as entertaining to the general public-
These burgundy and wine colors on Loni are amazinggggg 😍
Yes!
I agree, her complexion is AMAZING so a lot of colours work for her
I agree love it!!

so nobody is ever completely themselves...
Why is everyone hating on Taye Diggs?! So what his wife is white! He has the right to date/marry whoever he wants!
Uhhhh tamera's husband is white hahaha
They're not together anymore
It's not just him being married by a white woman he also said that he doesn't want his son being identified as "black".
cus theyre jealous
Has nothing no to do with his white wife and everything to do with the fact that he's a tap dancer.
Adrienne always quoting Instagram captions
I know you can tell that the only reading she does is instagram memes 👀 ☕️
+Yasmine Xo you 're ain't right! lol 😵😵😂😂
I really wish that one day The Real decides to put all 3 seasons on DVD for us to watch our favorite episodes at home....bloopers included!!!
Loni looks beautiful 😍
i know
Adrienne wasn't playing when she said she gets everything from instagram 😂😂 I caught that lil "be yourself, everyone else is taken" quote at the end there
That quote is so used up and dry 😂
I think we used that quote when we were like 12 or 13 haha
"be yourself everyone else is taken"... adrianne. thats a good one
This is a nice conversation between the co-host of the Real show and Taye Digg. All of them give so much insight of how to handle a first date.
i really love Taye's teeth they are so perfectly align and he has a great smile too
Bring back segments like this!
they seemed intrigued and really wanted to hear his answers lol
Ain't nobody taking dating advice from no Taye Diggs
Please bring Taye Diggs back on the show!
Let me tell a joke
My love life
Taye Diggs is so cool, first time i see his personality and he's so charismatic.
teach me man - im an open book.
I'm sorry but Taye isn't really adding anything to the discussion. It's like he's saying a lot of words but not really saying anything at all.
He is super cocky and obnoxious. After I saw him on a Wendy interview I was turned all the way off
Thought I was the only one observing such. Bag of words and I'm left with a jig saw puzzle in all the clips I watched
Dee Jay Ugh, I just watched his Wendy interview. He comes across as so arrogant. And him mocking Wendy's words was so rude! He acted like he didn't want to be there. Why even show up then? 😒
😂😂😂

peanutjelly Thanks :). I'm sure it will.
Adrienne looks so good hair, makeup and outfit yasss
"You gone finish that food?" Lmfaoooo
Isn't this the same Taye Diggs that said his son shouldn't be labeled as black but yet was messing around with some "black" ig model on the side while legally married. No thanks, he can keep his dating advice...🙅🏽
That was fake.
you do not cheat on Idina Menzel.. i'm just saying.. One does not cheat on that AMAZING creature of creation.
But his son is mixed so what's the problem?
+bevz90 the issue that there should be NO issue about his son identifying with Black. The fact that he had to be outspoken with wanting his son to be called "mix" proves he has a lot of rooted issues in him.

Right! She is not funny! They shoulda got rid of her instead of Tamar.
Why is she always sexual..
LONI'S LAUGH: "AHUUU" 😂😂😂😂😂😭😂😭😂😭😂😭😂 D E A D
This made me think of that segment where they talked about eating on a first date and everyone was against Tamar for eating certain things on a first date ☕️
when someone is at ease, you will feel it and everything will flow smoothly.
His voice is so soothing
Taye is so smooove. enjoyed his appearance on the show
I love Adrienne & her cheesy quotes😂
adrienne : be yourself on your best behavior...
nobody claps....
tamera repeats : everyone starts clapping lol ... haha
Not me, I’m myself always, confidence and security 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Basically be yourself to an extent, don't be rude. Just be yourself to extent and be polite.
I like Taye as an actor. His personality though..... Don't bring him again.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂 😂 😂 😂 😝
damn! tell us how you really feel! lol
He was boring and when he tried to be funny it was awkward. His voice is too monotone. Add some excitement to your voice if you're going to tell jokes. Pfft, plus he gives off a weird vibe ;I
If it was The View where there's more white women, I'm sure you would of seen a more flamboyant side of him. He would be in his natural habitat
+Dee Jay everyone is being extra shady today 😋
Maybe he was just tired. Some of yall just spouting off weird complaints, without any real point to them.
He looks like neyo
Taye is fiiiiiiiine
being yourself means being confident and comfortable so yes you should do that in the first date so you can know each others but of course with limits
1:00 is the first time Loni made me laugh out loud
Same
being yourself means not putting up a facade, not lying about what you want in a relationship, not lying about long term goals, not being excessively polite. you don't know a person wasn't being themselves until you really get to know them better.

So true! This is why I don't like formal dating sessions. I'd rather get to know them as friends and then just let things happen naturally.
+Ash exactly, another young man who has sense lol
Myronn Coleman I'm a woman but okay
+Ash OMG I'm so sorry the name made me think you were a guy haha sorry Ash
“The way she eats chicken wing." 😂😂
Daaannngg he fiinnee !!!!!!!
i kind of agree with what the writer says, when i act like myself, i tend to try to do everything as real as it can get which might be turn off
It was so weird watching Adrienne look at Tamar's seat, and say, "Tay", but she was talking about someone else. =(
Loni looks like fire!!
"Everyone else is taken" wow Adrienne Bailon hahaha thats deep
ugh I hope next season they give the girls better topics.
i am more awkward and weird. shy and a dry conversationalist on the first day. then after I'm myself.
I love loni reaction
'a Huffington post I read', I swear they say this every episode. should be 'a Huffington post one of our show researchers found so we have a topic today'
Just be yourself.. either they like you or not but that doesn’t mean be ridiculous.. being yourself lets a person know whether your for them or not
Couldn't stop looking at Loni, she looked AMAZING
What an intelligent, deep and insightful guest
I think being yourself is different for everyone because we're all somewhat different. Just be respectful.
Well put
The trick is to always be the best version of yourself even when there's no one to impress... Then when you meet someone nice, you won't have to fake it.. It'll come naturally
I'm always myself on a date
Lmao loni is so silly
I love the idea of having a male up here it actually shows different point of views and perspectives. This can also draw attention to more men 👏👏love it.
Fine brotha
the make up artist did a great job on everyone today
I think you can be yourself, just don't be over familiar with the new person
My cuzin naqau it start with those letters I just don't know how to spell the rest it's to much letters anyway she got Instarm and she love it!!!😂😂😂
How does Jeannie eat chicken wings?!? 😂😂😂 #sheprobablyeatsthebone lol
Loni is so beautiful
*yawns* ..why is Tayye Diggs even here....
So....basically we got nowhere closer to defining being yourself, I wish Tamar was there :(
A lot of people are phony when they have something to gain. Just beware of marrying anyone.
Since they made the mistake of firing Tamar, they should keep that 5th chair changing with different guest because I really enjoyed Taye here
did anyone answer the question or did we discuss subtopics LOL
when loni feels uncomfortable she makes jokes.
LONI is how I was on my first date w/ my husband. He took me to a nice restaurant at the top of our department store. I was like, I'm going to eat and I ATE
Who's the guy??
Seriously, how many shows did they film with Tamar? It's like she never left! I'm gonna miss her.
i liked the dynamic of having a man on the panel, they should really think about bringing one in permanently as one of the cohosts. i know a lot of the people who commented on this segment don't like taye but i thought he was alright (probably because i'm not really aware of his personal views that people are using to say he's a racist which is a real shame if he is).
Why is Adrienne wearing a wedding band?
I cant apologize for how I feel about Taye Diffs just like he doesn't apologize why he doesn't like black women neither doesn't he value Black Woman... So his polished "acting" persona can be dismissed!!! I respect no BLACK MAN who doesn't Respect Me or My sisters... The other race of women can HAVE HIM #GoodBye
There's a difference between being yourself, presenting your best self, and being a liar :)
These woman asked Taye, but then answered for him.
is this new????
I like Tamar and she can be funny, but it's nice for once for the other girls to give their opinion on a topic without being drowned out by Tamar. To be honest I couldn't even concentrate on the issue at hand with Taye's fooooiiiine self sitting right there 😩😩
He's a good looking handsome man!
Ladies, please be quiet and give the man a chance to answer your question.
everytime they say Tay,I think of Tamar... they thought of possibly havig him as a permanent cast member. idk ,what do you guys think?
I love this show, but it's definitely going to be missing some spunk and sass without Tamar. This conversation was very lackluster and I feel it would've been filled with a lot more energy, laughter and commentary if Tamar was there. #Justmyopinion
Lool Loni and Taye kinda cute
Loni is Queen thirst!! You can tell dude wasnt feeling her thirsty lil antics.
Ahaha, I get it, they always call Tamar Tay Tay so they got Taye in as a replacement.. Teehee.
I caught that too lol
Not all people are fake
Loni annoying 😂😂😂😂 "you gone finish your food?" Dwl
Heard them tell Taye to talk and was awaiting Tamar's voice. Lol oops
Is it just more or does it seem like Adrienne is acting more and more like Tamar?
She's beginning to adopt Tamar's mannerisms.
Is this new or recorded?
new
Pre recorded
Pre recorded
Damn I feel like these black actors getting better good looking with age lol
Just be a better version of yourself.
