No. Both my factory edges are at the bottom so they are both being shrank correctly. I'm just saving time by shrinking them together rather than separating and then shrinking them. This method doesn't work on ceramic films though as the bottom layer won't shrink right because ceramic blocks so much heat.
Depends on the temperature and how slippery your slip solution is. Using heat makes the film stick faster which is important when it's cold out or if you need to touch up an imperfection.
Thank you for doing this video! I have one this weekend and I’m going to try double cutting for the first time .
You can do it! Thanks for watching 👀
Good video...
Thanks!
Nice install. But I'm not understanding shrinking before separating. Aren't you shrinking the opposite side the wrong way?

Write down how much feet you use on side of box after every job....buy all 36 or 40 inch rolls easier....
That's a solid idea. 👌 Now I'll just have to remember to write it down. Lol
@@fastlanecarcarellc3608 yes I do that on my boxes...
@@fastlanecarcarellc3608 get a 5 dollar mini torch for touch ups works great....
@@JBIRD575 I've thought about it. Also thought about trying my hand at shrinking with a yellow torch on back windows and stuff.
Do you have to use heat on the windows
