    I ended up getting the Tempur Cooling topper and we ended up removing the cooling cover because it made the topper a bit firm. If I could return it I would and just buy the Tempur Supreme Topper like the one in this video and save some money and be comfortable while the cover is on. One problem with the topper, with or without the cover, it shifts/slides to one side through the nite.

    Thanks for helpful review. I bought a latex mattress topper and the rubber smell was so overwhelming, even after 3 weeks of airing it out that I can't use it. It would be helpful if you could explain "not much off gas". How much is "not much"?

      @Mattressclarity  Před 5 lety +2

    what is the different between tempur pedic supreme vs adaptive topper ?
    thank u

    • @Mattressclarity
      @Mattressclarity  Před 5 lety +3

      The main difference seems to be the type of TEMPUR material found in the topper. The Supreme contains original TEMPUR material and the Adaptive contains TEMPUR-ES. According to the company, TEMPUR-ES has a softer feel. I will have to try the Adaptive for myself but it appears to be even softer than the Supreme.

    Hi... I love the construction and durability of the standard Avocado Green... but the standard (non pillow top) version is just a little too firm for me, even though I like firm... so, I'm looking to take advantage of the Avocado construction but perhaps modifying it with a topper... yes, I know that there is a plush Avocado topper, latex, but I'm exploring memory foam option as well, perhaps seeking that best of all possible worlds type combo. Tempur Supreme on the standard Avo? or something thinner like the Lull topper or Casper topper...?

    • @mariannreid3120
      @mariannreid3120 Před 3 lety +1

      Curt Riesberg i bought the Avocado with the attached topper and it is still too firm for me. Did you get this topper or one of the others? I’m needing pressure relief. I’m still within the sleep trial with Avocado but I did order another mattress to try, but after waiting 2 months for some type of shipping confirmation I gave up and cancelled my order. Now I’m back to trying to make the Avocado work for me.

    • @curtriesberg9666
      @curtriesberg9666 Před 3 lety +4

      @@mariannreid3120 I got the Tempur Supreme, and it is truly supreme. Yes, put it on your Avocado... it's a great, great bed and just you need the Supreme is all, then you'll be done with your search. This summer tested Casper, Layla, Lull, and off-brand toppers, as well as the Avocado topper itself, and the Supreme was the champion, no question. Don't get one of the other versions from Tempur: get the Supreme. If you're needing pressure relief, I wouldn't hesitate to put it right on your pillowtop Avocado. The Avocado is a superior bed, with "zoned" support and extraordinary durability. The Tempur Supreme will on top of it will also serve to extend the Avocado's lifespan, as it will absorb some of the use-wear... and the Supreme is also extremely durable: TEN YEAR warranty, washable cover... I haven't had a problem with "sleeping warm" on it, but if you do then you could get a queen-size waffle weave 100% wool blanket and lay it between the tempur material and the cover; that'll channel heat away; however, such a fix probably won't be necessary. I'd say you can keep the Avocado, probably for 20 years maybe more if you top it with the Supreme.

    So I just exchanged my Tempur Adapt medium that has a top layer of Tempur-ES and a support layer of Tempur. We found it to be lacking support and just not twice as confortable compared to a regular matress.
    I got a firm temperer steel coils matress instead and plan on putting this topper on top.
    Anyone know if the 3 inch topper feels similar to the Tempur-ES?

    • @forthosewhodare7325
      @forthosewhodare7325 Před 4 lety +1

      No it does not feel anything like the ES. It's way more firmer. At first touch of it you might think it may be too firm but once you lay on it and settle in then it's softer feel . Hope that make sense!

I'm very concerned about chemicals (gassing). I'm attracted to your review of the Saatva but with all the people in my bed I'm wondering if the Tempur is better for less transfer of motion. What would you recommend?

    I’ve watched a bunch of your vids on toppers and still can’t decide if I should go with this one or the Layla. I’m a heavier gal and end up tossing all nite. I do prefer sleeping on my side, sometimes my back but then end up on my stomach.. all over the place haha. my Nest bed just needs a lil somethin extra to relieve the pressure especially on my hips and shoulder j. Hoping that’ll keep me in one position instead of being a tornado lol. I tend to sleep a bit warmer tho. What would be your recommendation I go with since you’ve tried both?

    I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought a "lesser expensive" mattress topper - didn't get the pressure relief I needed! I returned it this weekend and spent the extra $100 for my tried and true Tempurpedic Topper. I haven't used it yet (letting it air out) but I pray it will give me the classic memory foam feel and pressure point relief. Our NEW mattresses are causing me extensive shoulder blade - to shoulder blade pain! My husband... neck pain. I/WE DID NOT HAVE THIS PAIN UNTIL WE PURCHASED OUR NEW MATTRESSES. I pray to God this will relieve my own going pain. Will check back later. Thank you for this honest review.
