    If you are looking for a mattress topper, there are a few things you should consider:
    1. Think about what firmness and feel you want.
    2. Consider whether this is going to be a durable mattress topper.
    3. Investigate whether it is going to be a cooling mattress topper or make you sleep hot.
    If you want a mattress topper for hot sleepers, take a look at the Layla mattress topper. It features copper-infused memory foam along with Thermogel in the cover. You should be sleeping cool on the Layla. Those who want a durable mattress topper should consider the Avocado mattress topper. It features natural latex, which should last for a good amount of time. The Avocado should be a good long-term investment.
    Fans of fluffy toppers should like the Parachute Down Feather Bed. It contains down and feathers and has a good amount of body. If you're looking to add a pillow-top feel to your mattress, check it out. The Dreamfoam should be a good option for those who want to save some money. It is the most affordable mattress topper on this list. It is a very soft mattress topper sold for a value price.

    Enjoy your description of the difference toppers. I'm 82 - 5'2; and weigh 110. My mattress is 3 years old but really firm - too firm. I wake up in the middle of the night with discomfort in my hips, knees and shoulders. I turn from one side to the other. I do not want to sleep hot. And I sleep alone. Thanks for taking the time to give me some advise.

    I purchased the Sleep on Latex 3" soft topper. Its dunlop latex so sleeps very cool and with the three inches of latex provides some nice pressure relief to my firmer mattress. Mattress Clarity should look into this company and do some reviews. The latex comes from Sri Lanka and produced the USA! Thanks for sharing these other options.

    What would be a good mattress topper for an air bed? I sleep on a Lightspeed airbed which is great but I want to soften the surface up just a bit. I can't stand the smell of memory foam so I'm only considering latex, a Japanese futon style pad, or polyester fill. But I am not sure what to try, and am concerned about having to return some big heavy topper if it doesnt work out.
    I tend to sleep on my side and weigh less than 150 lbs. Thanks.

    Hi there, thanks so much for posting your wonderful guide. I am interested in the Avacado Green brand, as it is eco-friendly and non-toxic, however, as stated the price point is high so I am considering just a topper without a mattress. Would you say the Avacado Green topper thick enough that when placed directly on a wooden-slatted bedframe, the bedframe would not be felt through it? Thanks in advance for your guidance :)

    I currently bought a Casper Wave hybrid and used it for a little more than a year, but I realized its a bit too soft for my back and I start getting back pain when I woke up in the morning. I wonder if you have any good recommendations for me such as a specific brand of a firmer mattress topper or an other solution would be helpful. I am a side sleeper and preferably want a cooler topper. Thanks again. Your opinion would be highly appreciated!

    I was sleeping hot for a while even though we bought a breathable hybrid mattress. We tried removing the mattress protector and that did the trick I guess for me becuase the some mattress protectors are not breathable which was causing me to sweat more. Try this as a solution if you have already tried other things snd have not had much success.

    Hi, I have some questions as i'm about to pick a topper and there are so many options. First I'm concerned if memory foam is really safe for the health as my kiddo still sleeps with me. I was looking into latex but some reviews say they smell bad? And after they roll them out the smell doesn't go away for long time. Also, as i occasionally have issues with my hip what should I consider. Thanks.

    Looking for a mattress topper to use on top of the existing foam seat cushions in our camper. Sleeping on them alone hurts my back, using a camping mattress on top helps a little. We are going to try a soft foam mattress to see how that helps the situation. Wondering what you recommend. I typically sleep on my side to avoid snoring. My Sleep Number bed at home so far is the best sleep and best for back pain. Storage space in the camper is very limited. We considered a 2"-3" tri-fold mattress topper but leary on buying one afraid it won't be much better. All recommendations are appreciated.

    Hello, I would like a recommendation please. I'm a lightweight side sleeper with shoulder pain that seems to be caused by sleeping on my side but I can't sleep on my back. I tried the Lucid 3 inch gel foam and it made my shoulders feel even weirder. They still had pain plus numbness. I tried sleeping on my back and sank in way too far, spine was not straight. My mattress is a Sealy everbright which we bought because we thought it was plenty soft. But after three years I am realizing, hey, I still have shoulder pain. I had stopped sleeping on my right side because it was painful but now the left side has gotten painful too. So I heard on Healthline that for shoulder pain you actually shouldn't go for a softer mattress but a balanced like maybe 5/10 firmness. But you want cradling support. Where do we find that? Am I better off mattress shopping than trying to fix it with a topper? I live in Canada by the way.

    Currently just switched to a platform bed and got rid of our box spring. We've found that our mattress is similar to sleeping on a 2x4. 😂 We would like to add something to make is more comfortable without being hot or cumbersome. What do you think? (Even if it's not covered in this video?)

      @Mattressclarity  Před 5 lety +1

      Oh, we've had the 2x4 experience! It's the worst.
      Honestly, we would look at the Layla mattress topper. It is very comfortable and one of the cooler sleeping toppers we've tried. I should soften up your mattress quite a bit without making you sleep hot.

    Ok, Im not concerned about sleeping cooler.. but with triple digits coming up, which mattress topper for a air mattress would reduce heat. Also, do the mattress toppers aid in taking these damn annoying 'indents' on a air mattress and level them out for better sleep? Thank you and would appreciate a reply. Great channel.

    I have a very VERY firm mattress and it hits all kinds of pressure points. It's getting very uncomfortable to the point I can't sleep anymore. Looking for a topper to sleep on my side and back. Should I go for latex or memory foam?

    Great review, thank you! How would you compare avocado Dunlop latex mattress topper with Saatva Talalay latex topper? I am a side sleeper and don't like the feel of memory foam toppers, so am looking for something made of latex to help me relieve the pressure points. Thank you

    Hi, thank you for the really helpful info! Could I ask for your advice? If I find my new mattress too firm and I'm a combination sleeper (side and back), do you think a 2" topper will be enough or should I go for something thicker?

      Also, one more question. 😅 If I would like an overall medium firm feel when I lie down on my bed, should I go for a topper as soft as a firmness level of 2/10 or 3/10 or I should choose something firmer like 5/10 or 6/10 given that my current mattress firmness is at a firmness level of 8?

    We previously had a tempurpedic mattress topper that we loved. It did get warm though. How does other memory foam toppers you reviewed here compare the the feel (not heat) of a tempurpedic topper?

    • @Mattressclarity
      @Mattressclarity  Před 4 lety

      Out of these toppers, the Layla has the closest thing to that TempurPedic feel. However, it isn't as thick or slow-moving as Tempur-Pedic. The Saatva will have just a bit of that slow-moving memory foam feel right on top too.

    Thank you for the great info! I bought a hybrid Doctors Choice mattress a few months ago. I’m a side sleeper and usually like firmer. Thought this mattress would be great but it’s not as firm or maybe bouncy is the thing- I move a lot in my sleep. So maybe more bounce is what I need. Which topper would be best? I’ve read that latex might work but that there is an awful smell like a tire. Can you help?

    Hello Sir,
    I live in Pakistan and the temperature at night reaches to 43 celsius. Although the room is air conditioned at night but still the mattress keeps on releasing heat which makes it difficult to sleep. In market there is this 2 inch gel cool mattress. Do you think if I add it to the top of the mattress, will it help?
    Regards

    i got a dunlop latex topper at sleepez and ill be updating. Right now ive got a walmart memory foam matress flipped upside down to its more sturdy side but the problem comes where if slept on one position too long it goes through a sort of "shape-lock" and i have to go to the opposite side where its firmer.

    Thanks for the info. I tend to sleep in all positions, changing from stomach to side to back to fetal. Which one of these would be the best for me overall you think? My last one got so hot and I sunk too far into it, but I only weigh about 150. I took it off and now wake up with stiff and sore joints. Thanks

    I just got a purple 4 mattress and love it, except it makes my arms fall asleep when I sleep on the side. Did not ever have this problem w my Casper. I don’t know what’s causing the problem so don’t know if I need to make it harder or softer, was hoping to get your advice on what type of topper to get. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Joe

      @Mattressclarity  Před 4 lety

      Hey Joe! It sounds like the mattress is too firm for you when you are on your side. Do you mind if I ask your weight? Sometimes when lighter people side sleep on the Purple their weight doesn't really activate that Purple Grid. That means they don't quite enough pressure relief.

      Hey thanks so much for taking the time to answer!
      I’m a fairly muscular 6ft 210lbs and I feel my shoulder dipping really far down into the mattress(much further than it did in my Casper) so that’s why I’m so confused as to why this occurring. I even went back to the Casper for one night and the issue was gone, but immediately back the next night on the purple 4. Was considering trying either a pillow topper or a latex topper. I don’t like the stuck feeling of memory. Do u think either of those could help?
      Btw I got the purple as a return at a discount, so it can’t be returned. That’s why I’m so eager to make it work. Thanks again for any input.

    I had bought the parachute topper 2, yes 2 times (from Bed n'Bath because I like it so much. But no matter how many times I turned the topper, it eventually flattened out. Is there one that will not flatten out.
