- Frexalimab is being developed by Sanofi to treat relapsing and progressive multiple sclerosis. It targets CD40L which stimulates the proliferation of t-cells. However effective is it, and is there a risk of infection and clotting? This video reviews the result of a recent phase II trial.

Thanks Dr. Beaber. I really appreciate your videos and that your share about the current research and trials,
Thanks Vickie. We will see how the phase III trials pan out.
Good morning Dr Brandon, if this shows promise with progressive MS in older patients that would be phenomenal
Indeed
@@DrBrandonBeaber it would be a game changer I believe
thank you dr Beaber for giving us info on these new drugs. It brings hope :)
I am hopeful as aside from age I fit in the phase 3 trail participants. 🤞
Go for it if you can!!
Thank you so much for keeping us up to date 🙏
This is fascinating Dr Beaber. It crossed my mind when studying T1 Diabetes Monoclonal antibody therapies that this technology may lend itself to treating MS.
I myself am a RRMS patient of 30 years dx this June, currently on Kesimpta, but concerned with long term B cell depletion effects down the line.
This gives me hope after the disappointing initial BTK inhibitor trial results
Much love
Matti
I still look forward to the results of the PERSEUS trial (tolebrutinib vs. placebo in progressive MS)
@@DrBrandonBeaber As do I Dr. I still remain extremely positive that the BTK inhibitor technology will prove itself in time with all types of MS. We just need multiple drug agent double blind trial data, and more pharmaceutical agent refinement as a result during the process.
Now to have anti CD40L agent development in the mix is just outstanding for all MS Patients!
When I was dx at age 17 in 1994, there was NOTHING bar steroids. I worked out the lack of Vitamin D in 1995 from the geographical spread of MS case distribution- it was only a hypothesis, but I started supplementing that year anyway- but being diagnosed so young with a chronic disabling disease, with no treatment, so young makes one super resourceful and resilient 🙂👊🏼
I’m still RRMS, EDSS 4- 4.5 and feel blessed and grateful xx
Hi from Israel interesting video thanks for the informative data
Thank you for the video! As a caregiver for someone with MS, I echo comments that more treatments for smoldering and progressive MS are needed.
Do you consider MS an autoimmune disease? Have you already made a video on this topic? I hear that autoimmune conditions are often triggered by toxins, heavy metal exposure, as well as untreated viruses and/or bacteria. If that is the case it seems that B cells and other immune cells would be the very thing needed to fight such viruses, toxins, etc…I wonder if a day will exist when we no longer attempt to suppress immune cells, but rather correct their behavior? I have heard that sunlight helps regulate langerhan cells (sentinel immune cells). I wonder if sunlight has further immune cell regulation properties not yet discovered? Thank you
Mesenchymal stem cells. There are clinics, one called dream body clinic, they can reverse the damage and guide healing as well as telling the cells to work normal and not attack the body.
Thanks Dr Beaber. I recently read an article about this trial and was hoping you’d make a video on it. Unfortunately, the recent trials regarding BTKIs hasn’t been so positive. Quite a bummer.
We have to keep in mind that most new products will not succeed if they are early in development. This is just the nature of medical science.
I was on CELLCEPT FOR A WHILE and my brain lessons were going away
Very nice 3 phase trail soon
Hello, this is really urgent! Please reply! Can you give your opinion on Imu-838 phase 3 clinical trail. I'm not sure if I should participate in this study, I would love to know your thoughts about it 🙏
Thank you for sharing. I will say, I hear something that sounds like pounding on a table in the background.
I'm interested in seeing how effective this will be for treating MS disability progression.
As am I
Is it possible to send you a private message or email? I have a question but can't figure out how to send you a message.
How can I participate in the trial?
Please see the notes below the video. I include links to the clinicaltrials.gov sites which have contact information.
🎉I'll do anything that reduces active lesions or reduces increasee disability. Could this help someone who has been unresponsive to ocrevus?
It is possible that it could help someone with progression despite ocrevus, but there is no data in progressive MS at this time.
@DrBrandonBeaber thankyou. I am @ meeting up with my neurologist in a fortnight to discuss an action plan

This medicine is similar to Aubagio explained in this video: czcams.com/video/6eI2Ozn7iXQ/video.html
