- Just another teaser for my fan film version of the original RE2 from 1998. It shows a small part of everything I've been working on for the past year.
Everything is still a work in progress! Nothing is finalized, but I wanted to share some of what I have been doing. Hope you all enjoy!

It’s amazing what fans can do nowadays, and time has proven that this sort of projects only go up in quality!

😮 I am absolutely blown away at how cool this is! I have been the biggest RE fan since 98 and this just brings me the ultimate happiness. God we should of got remakes that followed this closely to the original storeis.

I'm so happy the algorithm served this up. What a fantastic project, with love and talent! Loads of references/Easter eggs, my fav is 5:48 Chris beaming catching a large bass 😂
I had to throw that Easter egg in there! I've got lots more in final.
Looking good, I like all the RE1 aftermath stuff that happens leading up to the beginning of RE2, even threw in a bit of Outbreak and 1.5 in there too.
Thank you again for the permission! It's helped a bunch for the later scenes.
It's nice to see that you're still working on this project! The way you pay attention to all the little things, is... I can't find the right words. It's just amazing ✨👏

Thanks for the kind words! I'm definitely pacing myself, because I don't want to rush this. I habe a timetable for this being released, but I'm willing to delay if need be. I'll always update here though.
And you can see that even the soundtrack was the original, which is exceptional. Very good

Just loved all the details and seeing all of the untold stories pretty much the same way I imagined them: Leon in the Motel for example
but all the easter eggs are also very nice, the Umbrella, Elsa Walker
Love it! An OG remaster of the original trilogy would be amazing ❤
it has already been remastered by the fans its called the Resident Evil Seamless HD Project. just do a search for it and you will find it. it uses the gamecube emulator Dolphin which is provided in the mod, all you need is a ISO image of RE2 or RE3 for gamecube for it to work. the modders went in and re did all the menu items in hd and used AI driven machine learning to enhance the original backgrounds in HD.

@@user-cd2lw1be4n OG means "original Gangster" or in the term of a game it would mean "original game" . OG really just means the original trilogy of resident evil games from the ps1 era.

This is the RE 2 Remake we shoulda gotten all those years ago after the first one.
(The reimagined is still a great game in it's own right, not trying to start anything)

The lore accuracy is awesome too! I like how you included the detail where Leon is late to work and gets drunk at a hotel due to his break up.
I freaking loved this! amazing graphics for a fan made video I especially loved the scene where the Stars team was in the chiefs office for debriefing but Irons is just sitting there stoned face oblivious to what is to come

This is amazing. I loved seeing the moments after the STARS left the mansion.
Yeah, that stuff is important to me. It's why I always feel a film based on the games is totally doable. So much thats happened thats never been shown.

The wink that Elsa walker was in the workshop was very cute. Elsa is my favorite no canon character of all the franchise.
I could imagine that Elsa was planned go to Raccoon originally but Claire become surprisingly and pray her to be she who travel first :3
I subbed. This is work that captures the essence of RE. I love this and can binge watch a boatload of this content. The Resident Evil story is the most captivating story Capcom has put together, RE1-RE3 is just CLASSIC! KEEP THIS GOING

I love how you added the prequel before they headed to raccoon city, the outbreak game in the restaurant episode, the fear in Sherrys eyes as she tried to avoid the zombies grasp..the details of the police department and characters…keep up the excellent work..❤

Hey there. This looks quite promising. The only thing I would suggest turning some extra attention to (if you aren't already), is the animation in general.
More specifically, the facial animations. They look like they are animated through stop motion, and everyone has the same huge janky teeth. It was a bit jarring when first seeing the faces move.
Don't read my text the wrong way, as I think this looks quite impressive. I'm not trying to knock you, or bring this down at all. I simply wanted to be entirely honest with you though, as I wanted to give feedback, in hopes you may make the absolute best thing you can. If this is the absolute best you can do, then that's perfectly fine too.
In any case, I look quite forward to what you produce in the end, and I absolutely wish you the best with this project. It must be an incredibly huge undertaking, and I'm sure you're learning a lot along the way too.

I'm totally cool with critiques! Most of the time, I'm more critical than anyone on CZcams could be, so its fine!
I'm using facial capture, but I'm having problems getting it to work 100%. Currently working to see about getting it fixed because I'm not happy with a lot of shots. Its probably a stupid setting I didn't notice or have set properly.
Thankfully, everything in the video are quick renders and not final shots/scenes. There's still plenty of work ahead for me 🙂

truly this is seriously beautiful looking, loved the attention of detail on how Rebecca was holding Billy Cohen's dogtag chain
and the determination on Chris Redfield eyes of him knowing that all that was just the beginning of a very long lasting war against the evils of Umbrella
only feel that Chris should have looked just a little bit more muscular
but i understand this is faithful to the REmake
i can see this been better than the RE CG movies made by capcom and i do love RE VENDETTA but hated how Rebecca did not even mentioned Billy Cohen at all
the most underrated of all the RE male heroes , he is as badass as Captain Redfield in my eyes
Thank you for the kind words. This definitely won't be as visually spectacular as a Capcom/studio CG film, but Im definitely trying to produce something I'm proud of for the minimal time I get to work on this everyday.
I'm definitely one who likes character's continuity and refences so I try to make them as close as I can. Everyone is definitely based on their REmake models, though I gave Barry his RE1 beard and not just stubble. Chris is slightly more muscular than REmake but it definitely was a deliberate choice to stay pretty close.

i would be making prob a series for Castlevania and also for other great video franchises i been loving such RE
but do not ever think that those Capcom movies are above you in any way
the fact that you care so much for very crucial things such continuity ,the references and getting the feel of each character right is all what truly matters and the fact that you are showing all this been made with a genuine soul is what makes all priceless

But i also say this cos if you read the Capcom novels they describe Chris has having that perfectly strong yet athletic body type
Chris truly was the strongest member of STARS
a true Alpha example but that is why i feel he should look just little more arms buildup
but anyway i was always much more fan of Chris in RECV over the original
just something about him felt much more heroic there

This is more than a teaser. This is what the remakes could have done: thread the whole story together. We see all four survivors from the mansion incident on the helicopter. The easter eggs show love to the games like RE: 0, RE: Outbreak, and RE: Revelations 2.

The Cross Over scene at J's Bar is simple briliant R.E. OutBreak show us another side of history about surviving in Raccon City. We have to congrats the autor of this masterpiece.

Amazing work! Resident Evil 2 was the game of my childhood. I have never loved or played a game on the PS 1 more than Resident Evil 2. Even today I still know every secret and where everything was. The atmosphere and the soundtrack are absolutely extraordinary!
