Mikhail went out like a warrior. Fighting till the very end.
Just like how the S.T.A.R.S members died in the first game, they all had no idea what they were up against and that there was a traitor among them.

I have a lot of criticisms of the RE3 Remake, but I think it did a fantastic job portraying the human characters! And much as I think they missed the mark with Nemesis, it was nice seeing Tyrell finally get some time (and even named!) onscreen.
I remember 4d executor from years ago, its still more disturbing than any other RE work.
I like to think he was aiming for Jill and got Tyrell by mistake
For anyone saying Nikolai got killed by Nemesis in RE3 Nemesis original Game. Keep in mind that the his status is Open-Ended. He might have Escaped via Helicopter/Kill Him in the Helicopter fight or Died at the hands of Nemesis. This will depend on your choice at the Bridge Section before you enter the Factory Area. One thing to note also, if you have Played the Resident Evil: Survivor featuring Ark Thompson, there is a file in the theater states the combat data wtitten by Nikolai about the Creatures he encountered and about the Nemesis Tyrant. I personally believed that Capcom should shed some light for his official status on this
Mikhail's sacrifice scene in Re3 1999 is more impressive and emotional than Re3 remake
You miss the U.B.C.S squad killed by the "Nyx" at the end in Outbreak File 2. In Operation Raccon City you see few U.B.C.S deaths too.
Canonically Nicholai survives Raccoon City as he makes a phone call in RE Outbreak after the city is destroyed to the Outpost there monitoring it and authors a report to Sergei Vladimir about Wesker potentially faking his death.
Nemesis didn't kill Mikhail. Mikhail killed Mikhail. He went out holding his steel balls.
Mikhail was the ultimate badass. Anybody willing to go out on an incendiary grenade by choice has big tungsten carbide balls.
That Biohazard 4D movie is the best RE product outside of gaming. Such a shame Hollywood is not capable to make such a creepy and neat story as that movie
Technically Mikhail Victor was not killed by Nemesis, he killed himself in both games, in the first one with the grenade and in the remake with the explosives
Mikhail get out like a boss, not kill by, but sacrificed himself for the greater good.
Mikahil He was the most honorable soldier who committed suicide to buy time for Jill
