I started diamond painting in April 2023 after my surgery due to thyroid cancer...before that time I do coloring for 5 years but then after this health issues I was not able to come back to it, I need something new which will bring joy to my life again and there I am almost 100 kits in my stash and I still enjoying it so much ☺️

Hi Katie! I started diamond painting Jan 2021. I was ordering a paint by number from Amazon and got the Diamond painting by “mistake”. I queried CZcams and now I have a stash of 300+ 😊. Diamond Painting has brought me so much peace and joy and then it compounds cause I’ve been gifting them and that brings more joy cause the Diamond Painting was specially selected for them! I’m retired and this has been my first and only craft. It’s the best!!!💜🩷💜🩷💎💎

🐍 I started a year ago (April 2023) and I was first intrigued with the clicky videos! My mom had recently passed away (Sept 2022) and I felt so aimless. Between the soothing sounds/feels of the drills, putty, pens, the shopping, the satisfying feeling of completing a canvas, I was instantly hooked. My mom was also crafty, so it makes me feel a little closer to her spirit. 🕊
Love these videos. I only started diamond art November last year due to health issues I can no longer cross stitch and was heartbroken. My sister got me a diamond art kit and the rest is history then I found diamond art club and I was addicted. Thanks for making it so easy to join this crafting family
I loved hearing your why behind diamond painting - it's so hard to explain! I wish I had known about it during the pandemic, but I started in October 2022 when I was stuck in bed with covid for a week. I ordered a tiny one from Etsy after seeing someone post about it on Instagram. I did one and I was HOOKED! I started with Amazon, and quickly switched to DAC and other amazing companies that sell licensed artwork! I love the community of diamond painters and the joy I get out of being able to be creative and enjoy some downtime 😊

My current WIP is Christmas Eve at the Workshop, and it's very slow going. I started it last year not long after receiving it, worked on it for about a month, and then put it away and worked on several smaller kits. I'm almost finished with the row that I'm working on. After it's finished, I'll be working on a round kit for sure. Hope you have a great week! 😊💖🐍

Happy Diamond Painting Anniversary. I started diamond painting in 2021 after years of struggling to find a hobby I would stick with. A friend from church mentioned it to me and I decided to try it. It is something relaxing I can do in my spare time.

🐍 Started diamond painting in the summer of 2020 when my mom bought my son a tiny smiley face kit with frame. I thought “heck no! I see a bunch of tiny pieces strewn all over the place in my near future!” Then when I ended up being the one to complete it, I was the one that quickly got addicted 😁 Now whenever I find drills in super random places all over the house, I only have myself to blame 😂

Before I discovered dp-ing (via my MIL), I colored. My husband doesn’t understand that my hands need to be busy. It’s not easy for me to watch TV and do nothing else. I love this craft. I just miled past my 2 year dp anniversary. As for eyes, I think chronic migraines have adversely impacted my vision (particularly my right eye). I have glasses but only wear them when driving/out. When I’m working at my computer I wear glasses specific for that distance of correction. And I have readers all over the house. It’s tough getting older 🤣🐍
I watch almost every wip and chat while I diamond paint. I have a suggestion when you use something new like the putty from Diamond Art Club maybe at the end, you can tell us what you thought. It looks good but am curious on how it performed for you.

I started diamond painting a while ago. I can't remember exactly when, but does anyone recall videos by Ella - Kickin Cancers Butt and Diamond Painting or something like that? I ran across her videos and I was instantly mesmerized. This was before any were on amazon or sold in the states. My first paintings were from Ever Moment and I just looked it up... purchased in 2018. So 6 years? I find it to be calming, not to challenging to the brain but challenging enough to keep it interesting. And like Katie said, I really like buying all the accessories. Back when I started painting there were no resin turned pens. The fad was taking actual pens and rigging them to hold the pink pen inside the pen. I remember I had an ergonomic pen that was slightly curved that I made into a placer. Oh, and back then... it was only pink wax. No blue wax, no putty, no fancy scented wax. Just the pink wax. And no 3d printed anything. I don't even think that was a thing back them. Anyway, I am back at it full steam and really enjoying getting involved in the online community. It makes this very solitary craft and little more enjoyable. 🐍🗡

Hi Katie! I am a lurker. But I also started in2020. I usually only dp in summer because it keeps me inside out of the heat. And it is crafty! This is my first year with dac! I am doing you are my sunshine and loving it! This is very nostalgic for me. I used to sing the song to my kids and we raised hybrid wolves in the past.

I would personally love more about how you went about your own diagnosis as an adult! I, familiar with several friends getting their adhd dx late but not autism.
I'm late on seeing this video. I started diamond painting March 2023. I thought that I had purchased a canvas from Shein and it turned out to be a diamond painting. I love crafts so I decided to watch a CZcams video on how to do it (happened to be your beginner video, Thanks!). And I have been addicted since. DAC is my favorite for painting, but I'm trying to spread out for small shops as well. Your recommendations have been a big help! Thank you for all you do! 🐍
Thank you for sharing a bit about autism. I would love to hear more about your journey and late life diagnosis. I’ve learned so much about myself after realizing that I am autistic. I’ve debated getting an actual diagnosis and if it’s worth it as an adult, but I also feel like it will absolutely help my mind to know there is a reason I am the way I am.

Hi Katie! Happy DP-versary! I'm working on Don't Go and Midnight Manekineko both by DAC. I bought the unscented putty also bc of migraines (I just wasnt' sure about the rose smell - I might get it next time to try it).
I am ADHD and enjoy tactile crafts. I agree it's like a stym and is relaxing to keep my hands busy. I sometimes struggle with finishing a canvas, but am working on powering through, lol. I am currently working on "Penny" by Peggy Collins and really like the perforated coversheet.
Happy 4 year for Diamond painting! I picked up the 5 pack for DIYamonds Delights, it actually gets in today! Then I picked up the new Margaret morales and the stained glass flower garden restock along with the new putty and Eden Floral.
I've been diamond painting for two years now, and it's interesting to see how I've settled into the craft. 🐍
🐍Funny story about a snake: I thought there was a worm on my bedroom floor, so I called my brother to get rid of it (I’m super squeamish about worms and bugs). When he picked it up, I got a closer look at it and realized it was a tiny snake. So weird. I figure it hitched a ride in on my clothes or bag. It was quickly sent back outside.
Anyways, I started diamond painting in December 2022 with a set of mandala sun catchers that looked really pretty and sparkly. I bought them for myself for Christmas. I found it really relaxing, almost meditative, and easier to clean up than my other favorite hobby (painting), so I went to Hobby Lobby and grabbed a couple kits and the rest is history.

I have 2 old master kits I got when I first started Diamond painting. I will definitely be doing the event so I can motivate myself to work on it! I think I will work on it alongside another kit - a square with pretty colors and less confetti.
🐍hey Katie- I have been diamond painting since 2018. I also seemed to have a hard time staying with one, feel like I tried them all. I am working on a mystery kit from Jade that I will also using for Summer of the Masters. It is HUGE and full of confetti. Hava a great week!!

I really wish I would’ve found this craft during the pandemic. Since February 2023 this has brought me such peace and joy. I love finishing these and if anyone wants one, gifting them lifts my heart. I truly enjoy and look forward to each of your videos. Once I found CZcams with your videos and a few others, this is what made me realize that it was the community I wanted to be a part of. My husband knows this is my happy place and we have found our happy medium that I do in the same room for together time. I must say that I love seeing everyone’s extras and collecting a few of my own. Sometimes I just use this as podcast as I paint, so calming. I actually found Jaded Gem and bought a crop of Apple Picking and it was delivered this week. I also just got my forget order of DIYamond delight diamond sticker set. Thanks for it all.🐍

Hi Katie! I was first attracted to Diamond painting because of an asmr diamond painting video that I came across one day. The past year has been overwhelming and frustrating in different ways, and I fell into retail therapy (which was not good for my wallet). Buying a handful of kits helped me to clearly visually what I was spending my money on, and it felt well worth it. I would invest weeks into a single canvas and actually watch the progress of the kit being completed. That was both very rewarding and satisfying to see. My boyfriend has been supportive of it since day one. And I'm happy to say that I have 10 in my stash with 2 wips, and 3 completions since January of this year. Buying accessories has been a rabbit hole that I'm trying but failing to avoid 😅 the addiction to this craft is real!
I agree that diamond painting feels like stimming activity. I’m 56 and have never been diagnosed as autistic, but I have utilized countless behaviors to self regulate since childhood. I used to walk in circles for hours. Now I do numbers in my head. I often will even count the drills as I place them. Shhhhh! LOL. Happy anniversary! 🐍🐍
I started diamond painting last July (7/6/23) by accident. One of my kids gave me a kit as a bday gift - took me 6 months to even open it - and by the time I had put down my 1st five diamonds I was sold. And Katie - you kindled and encouraged my love for this craft. Diamonds and Washi was one of the channels I found early on and I thank you SO much!!! (Now my stash is over 100 and I’m trying to control myself, but cannot. Not for kits, pens, trays, putty, minders, release papers - it’s all too fun!)

I started diamond painting in december 2022 and also did it with a cheap not license kit. I learn about licensing in your channel and got hooked by DAC.

I found diamond painting about 5 months ago. I absolutely love it. I was never a craft person but I absolutely adore the process of diamond painting and seeing an image come together. Like you, what I enjoy Diamond painting isn’t necessarily what I want to hang in my house.
Hi Katie I started diamond painting in 2019 i used to do counted cross stich however, it took too much brain power (I had a breakdown in 2006) diamond painting has been a game changer for me! I really enjoy large kits that take me months to do, I think its the challenge that I enjoy the most. I just turned 76 years young. I love your channel and watch or listen when diamond painting!
I've been diamond painting since 2018, and stumbled across it while looking for cross stitch stuff online. Took a while for it to stick, and I still go back and forth between diamond painting and cross stitch, but diamond painting has had an immensely positive impact on my mental health. Cross stitch was a good start, but diamond painting filled a need when I just don't have the energy or mental focus to stitch (although stamped cross stitch has been a huge help with that) but still need something to help when I'm struggling. It's just mindless enough to not require a ton of energy while still being distracting enough to let my brain do what it needs to in the background without becoming all-consuming, and the fact that I can have a finished project without it taking 10 years is just an added bonus!
I have only been diamond painting around 9 months, and the way I got into it is kinda funny.
I have always enjoyed art-related "satistfying" videos on youtube. Think ASMR videos, but not for the ASMR just for the visual (I have also since started realising I may have ADHD/ some neurospicy flavoring) and I fell hard into people unboxing HIMI gouache paints. Theyre these vibrant colored paints that arrive in pudding cup-esque individual packaging. I loooved the process of opening them all one by one and stirring the colors before placing them in a tidy order.
These videos eventually lead me to diamond painting Kit-up videos (Diamond Painting Anonymous was my first channel and will always be my go-to kit up videos when I need to relax) and that got me really wanting to get into the hobby myself!
The organisation is easily my favorite part of the craft 🥰
I finished two diamond painting this month I started of with Aurora the Unicorn I started that diamond painting on 1/4/24 & finished on 5/4/24 & next one I started of with Huggable I started of on 6/4/24 & I finished that diamond painting on 9/4/24 I also bought Diana & the new 2 one unscented & one scented DAC putty & twist multi placer i started diamond painting on 15/7/19 a friend of mine started me off so I decided to buy two diamond painting from Amazon then I decided to look up diamond painting on CZcams that how I discovered you guys 🐍🐴

🐍 I started diamond painting last July after I got a concussion. In the beginning i couldn't be around other people for more than 30 min before my mind totally shut down and I was extremely sound sensitive. I found diamond painting and it really helped me relax my head and was the only thing that could keep me focused. After a while I found your youtube channel and, through that, the amazing community that came with the craft and it made me a little less lonely ❤ Now I have an almost normal life again and still use diamond painting to relax and decompres

Regarding the new film: I too am not a fan, but don’t see it as a huge deal. I don’t like how it doesn’t line up perfectly with the grid
I started Diamond painting in Dec 2022 because I moved from my home in Ohio for my husband’s job. We’re in a new state where I don’t know anyone and I’m extremely unhappy here. I love that I can put on headphones (music, shows, podcasts, audio books) and tune out what’s going on around me. It’s also something to look forward to and get excited about with the new releases and building my stash. I just really really love Diamond painting.
Hi Katie, I started diamond painting September 2023 so not a year yet. I have given a lot of the ones I've done away. I came across you website early on and you helped me find a number of small shops to upgrade my tools. So thank you for your small haul videos! I'm a home health therapist so diamond painting has become a great way to unwind and de-stress. This weekend several lady friends are getting together and I'm bringing the Gem ocean edition set so they can try it.

I started my diamond painting journey after getting targeted ads constantly and was a little intrigued. I did a search on here for diamond painting and you were the first channel I found. I was immediately inspired because of all your pens and fun accessories, so the next time I went to the craft store I picked up a diamonddotz kit and now I’ve been diamond painting for a year. I zalso struggle with being a “serial crafter” but diamond painting has really held my attention and it helps me with my anxiety - even socially now because I started my own channel to connect with more people and to push myself out of my comfort zone! ❤ thanks for being a continued inspiration for me. I don’t always comment but I religiously watch your videos ❤
I started diamond painting in June 2021. My mom had passed away in April and I needed something to keep my thoughts from running away. I've had depression and anxiety for most of my life and found that this hobby helps me more than any other. When I first started I would tell myself that what I was doing was so dumb. I was just sticking plastic dots to a canvas. But it helped me. Now I don't know what I would do without it. When I'm struggling my kids will tell me to go Diamond paint.
I knit and crochet, but arthritis really settled into my hands. I don’t remember why I tried dp, except I was going through Amazon and found the set of bookmarks that you slide onto the corner of the page? Tried them, liked them, got a few canvases, and here we are.
I began “dotting” about 2 months ago! The reasons I enjoy it are identical to yours.
I started Diamond Painting in 2021. I was a mega reader at that time and someone suggested it to me because of my anxiety. I haven't looked back since! I went almost 2 years just doing it on my own with Amazon kits when I saw the Drills and Chills 2023 event. That was my very FIRST event I participated in and that is when I found your channel and Lindsay's! Now I know SOOOOO much more about licensed artwork and will only buy licensed artwork now. Diamond Painting has helped my anxiety tremendously. I can't even imagine my life without it now. As far as Summer with the Masters I am going to try and join in on the event this year for sure. I have 3 potential kits for it so we shall see! ⚔

Still working on Ocelot from DAC. Finally past the halfway point! Ordered another two kits yesterday, and yes, the free shipping threshold is always something to go for especially for those of us across the pond. I started the craft out of curiosity. I am on the spectrum with (undiagnosed) ADHD and tend to get frustrated quickly, and tend to find learning new things pretty difficult. I've tried so many different things, got frustrated and quit. With diamond painting, it was immediately apparent that this was it: this was my thing! I finished my first kit, a small kiit and I cried. It's like, wow, okay, a craft that's fun, relatively simple and doesn't take much to jump right in and get going. And you get something pretty at the end.
🐍I started around the same time as you - March/April 2020. I just started a Spangler this evening - Rounding up The Dust Bunnies. So relaxing compared to the landscape I just finished.

🐍 My one year DP anniversary is going to be July 29th so I’ll be working on my SWTM piece (Starry Night, gotta hit that milestone!)
I am working on Inspiration Peak, and I am not using the perforated pieces. I also just finished a new print of Protégé and it had the perforated cover. I didn't use it with that painting either. I finished Fraya in about 4 days. She worked up quick and I loved every second! I personally love diamond painting because it is calming. I also love the sound of the diamonds being placed. My 5 year old son has level 2 autism, and I believe I might be on the spectrum as well. I also love the feeling of completing a painting. I started diamond painting in 2021 because my mother bought me a diamond painting.

🐍I saw a Diamond Art painting in Hobby Lobby last year... that was the beginning of my journey. I was hooked so this past Christmas I sent kits to my sisters in law but they haven't done the pictures I sent!! I guess its not for everyone. I was hoping they would zoom with me and we’d diamond paint 🤷♀️
Current WIP is Sinister Wings and with the amount of 310s in the kit I am going through it at a crawl! Good thing I am halfway done, I don’t want to look at another 310 again after for a good while. I have Aset by ChrissaBug as my next kit to work on and I might just kit it up and take a break from all of the darker colors that Sinister Wings is.

I started diamond painting at the end of 2018. 37:58 38:02 My first one was a partial and I did not like the way it looked. But then I did another one which was a full with square diamonds and I loved it. I like doing squares more than rounds but will do either. Then I ordered a custom in may of 2019 and it came out beautifully. So far I have done over two hundred diamond paintings plus some off the canvas items. Though most of the canvas diamond paintings are not licensed (I was not aware of the licensing till recently). I bought most of them on Amazon. Like watching and listening to your videos. HI! I started painting last November 2023. I actually bought my daughter a kit when she was pregnant for those sleepless nights. We learned together and I fell in love with the craft. My beautiful granddaughter was born 3/7 so as you can imagine she is too busy for the craft😊. I do it enough for the both of us 😂 🐍 🐍 Thank you for the video. BTW, how did you like the wax/putty from DAC?
I do have autism and been doing diamond art almost year it helps me control my temper

They are clean beauty products with the base being goat milk which has the same PH as human skin. I love their products and use them all the time. Maybe give them a try.
If you do have to wear glasses, you’ll get used to it, over time. It’s always foreign to have wear something you’re not use to wearing everyday, which is normal.
I was wondering, how do you feel about notebooks with grid lines? Not dot grid ones, but the kind that have the small squares. They are mostly useful if you are making graphs on physical paper. I used them in my math class. And I noticed that you didn’t mention that kind of notebook.

I have trouble with finding the perforated lines myself so I have to put down washi tape so I can know where to put the diamonds myself.
I’ve been using the DAC putty about a week now and enjoying it. I’ve only ever used kit wax and alien putty though! But I got the new pen and some tips and am rocking through my dakotathon piece. I even won a weekly giveaway in week 1!
I find a&o to never have stock so I stopped ordering from them. I wonder if scribbles that matter has any b5.
🐍(yuck!) I think I will plan on drills and chills instead of Summer with the Masters. My husband is supportive but will probably not appreciate a classic piece when I have so many other kits. Thanks for being so open and helping educate about autism. I am grateful for the info.

For skin care have you tried any goat milk products like beekman 1802? I find that it works well on my sensitive skin and isn’t irritating. They also have a lot of products with absolutely no sense. They call them pure and they have a great body butter.
