    Hello Tiffany,
I just got home from accompanying my friend of 40 years to his oncology appointment. He was letting his Doctor know that he has decided to stop treatment. He was given 2-3 years around 2 years ago. He would cheer for you being cancer free despite him knowing he is coming to the end of his journey. He and I are proud of every person who has had a cancer journey, no matter the outcome. It gives hope to others knowing cancer doesn't always win. God bless you!

Good luck to your friend. As quiet as it is kept, doctors have no drugs or treatments that can cure any disease, but only palliate symptoms. Only the body can cure itself with renewed tissue. So, it's possible that he can get better somewhat or at least live longer. Just enjoy life, be as healthy as he can and good luck

Hi Tiffany, just remember that when you rest, that’s when you heal. If your body feels tired, then you need to lay down and sleep. I am a cancer survivor for one year now, so I also went through the guilt stages for feeling tired and resting. My doctor told me that if you feel tired, your body needs to rest. Listen to your body. That’s it.

💙💙💙 hi Tiffany. 🇨🇦 Here. I've been following but haven't posted recently. You are looking FAB!! You mentioned feelings of guilt and not wanting to sit near others or to look too excited/smiley near others looking poorly. I too had a feeling of knowing that some of those patients wouldn't make it. But.... Here's what happened during my journey & it has stuck with me.
I had just finished my 6th x 3 hour chemo treatment & our tradition is to ring a big brass bell on the way out of the many-chair treatment room, while patients & nurses alike applaude your exit out the door. From there you walk through the waiting room area for patients booked for blood work and waiting to go in for their chemo infusion. I walked in front of a very sickly (grey) looking bald man of about 80 sitting in his wheel chair. He reached out his hand for me & I took it, and he said "bless you miss, for ringing that Bell today. I was in a very low mood, and you have just reminded me that there IS HOPE OUT THERE & that people get through this" He asked to hug me (we were both masked). He said " you younger ones maybe are more lucky. I told him despite my long blonde heathy hair (I didn't lose any hair) that under my mask was a 68 year old woman! I told him I would be thinking of him too & that he is to stay strong through treatment and for surgery too, if that happens. I finally clasped his hands & told him "you are stronger than you know... Keep going and FIGHT THIS DISEASE.,,," I STILL think of him and hope he is managing. That one bright moment of the bell ringing my success... Had uplifted him for the day Don't be afraid to show that there ARE success stories too. It might be the one thing that gets someone through a very hard day. 💙💙💙

You look and sound amazing Tiffany! I can see the relief and joy in your mom’s face. You went through so much to get to where you are. I was surprised in one of your last videos that you called cancer the “c” word and didn’t want to say it. As someone who will live with cancer for the rest of my life and for whom surgery is not possible, it made me think about your perspective on cancer now that yours is undetectable and removed. It must be such a relief. I for one don’t shun the word as it is part of who I am today and for every day in the future. I guess the stigma of cancer may never go away even though there are so many new treatments and, for some like me, can be treated as a chronic disease. As you said, every day is a gift regardless of what each of us endures along the way! We got this! 💕💙

That’s scary. I’m so glad that you sought some advice.
I can’t bear the smell or sound of hospitals since my mum died over 35 yrs ago. Mum had a stroke overnight that wasn’t discovered until my sister visited at around 10am.
My sister and I sat with Mum day and night, for 9 days. The medical team said that the bleed was massive and she would never recover enough to have any kind of life. I still wonder to this day if we shouldn’t have insisted on more treatments, but thems the breaks.
I can go into hospitals if I have to, but I prefer not to. Knowing that many people are helped, doesn’t help me any.

I'm an atheist, because there are still babies and children who die in total agony of cancer. Why would any real God allow that?
Why let some people live, but yet others die? There's no logic.
Tiffany is incredibly fortunate, despite the horror she's been through, but for every person that survives, many don't, and they were as lovely as Tiffany.
Take a moment to remember the families who have to go on living, without their child, sister, brother, mother, father, etc, etc, after they've lost their fight, and aren't here any more. Imagine the devastation in their lives.

Also a morning person. Getting up early makes me feel as if my day is longer. The longer the day, the more life I feel that I have. More life (i.e. longer life) is what I am really wanting most of all. It’s not really the amount of the hours either, but maybe the quality of them. Somehow adding “awake time” at the end of the day doesn’t feel quite the same. And I agree about time spent alone. It’s important to be with yourself in peace and quiet. Not as many chances for that later in the day when everything and everyone gets going full speed. I’m sure that you also know that before dawn is the absolute best time for meditation. Hopefully you’ve been making some time for that 💙💙💙💙. Take care and “see” you soon Tiffany girl.

Hi Tiffany. Glad to see you’re feeling well enough to do more. I worry about you pushing it though. As a chronic illness sufferer myself, it can be really difficult to gauge how much activity is too much. When you are very ill, you know you can’t do much. When you are fully well, you can do a lot. It’s the gray area in between that gets tricky.
I know you want to do all the things you haven’t been able to do and feel some normalcy, but things aren’t normal yet and probably won’t be for a while. I fear you will set your recovery back or be too hard on yourself.
What I had to learn to do is try to tune in to, and listen to, my body instead of my busy mind. What signal is your body sending you. Pain? Fatigue? Try to listen. At the very least compromise with yourself. Get up a little earlier, not hours earlier. Take an hour nap instead of two. Study for an hour or two instead of all day. Try ramping your activity very slowly and still prioritizing rest. You are valuable and a wonderful person even when you are not busy and even when you can’t accomplish a to do list. I’m wishing you continued recovery!

Tiffany, you look amazing and you are moving about much better with every video. My mum had PTSD after having a malignant sarcoma removed from her thigh muscle. She was 74 and had been working up until her diagnosis. She had radiotherapy then surgery and then a very rocky recovery being readmitted , for a month, with sepsis. After all that she was very traumatised and depressed, and gave up working, but she has come through and 6 years later there has been no recurrence for which we are very thankful. You have so much support around you, you can do this.x

  • @ThePlantBasedHomestead

Right away, I see the color back on your face, your hair is looking healthy and I notice you’re feeling joyful again sometimes.
I have to agree with Matt. You just had major surgery. Your body on both the inside and the outside is trying to heal. You need to rest when your body needs it sweet friend!
I see your excitement to get back out there. Just remember that you are recovering from such a big surgery. You’re a very strong young woman. I love that Amma and Matt are able to honestly tell you when you’re overdoing it. They know you.
I must say though, I can see the difference in recovery now. You are looking and seems like starting to feel yourself again. Just remember to give yourself that time. Your Dr. said 6 weeks.
I have to laugh at how determined you are to get up and get out though. I imagine you’re constantly on the go if you felt better. I understand your guilt, but as others have mentioned, your testimony has not only helped you, it will help those walking in your shoes behind you. You have also taught many not to take life for granted.
    Love, hugs and swift recovery,
    Bekah

What a lovely immune boosting juice you’ve made. Should help that wound heal up as well. I’m so happy you’ve gotten a second chance at life Tiffany! There’s no explanation for why some are spared and some are killed by cancer, and it’s sad to think about. You’re right, every person, even those blessed to be spared by modern medicine, have their time to die.
