- čas přidán 9. 05. 2016
- At the beginning of the 20th century women's roles in western society were rigidly defined. Harriet Quimby broke these molds in her career and in her lifestyle. She lived alone, never married, and worked as a journalist for Leslie's Illustrated Weekly, covering social aspects of daily life as well as technical subjects, including advice for the female automobilist. Over a lifetime of defying the norms of society at the time, she was also the first licensed female pilot in the United States. Her career took her on countless adventures, one highlight being her successful flight across the English Channel in 1912.
