I am surprised that many garnets was so light , I have never done anything with garnets, I know they are crazy hard but have never actually held one ( going to change that this year 😀 ) .. so flipping cool and one of these days I want to get down that way and dig with you.
If you ever can make it down, we have to hit the little pine garnet mine, you find golf ball sized ones there, I haven’t made it there yet, but it’s up there on my to do list... Us small channels have to stick together, I mostly did my channel for storage of videos, I’ve never owned a computer & had a flip phone until 2 years ago so I ran out of storage pretty quick once I got a smartphone... but now that I’ve discovered this whole rockhounding community, I am hooked... it’s a lot of fun chatting & trading & all that
@@diggingappalachia954 Smart Phones are great for us. I like how I can watch rockhounding when it is minus 20 and 2 ft of snow on the ground. Spring seems so far away. I appreciate chatting, and I do have a surplus of rocks and am always willing to share. My yard yards might take a while to thaw out. take it cool.
Someday we should do a trade, I have to get out and get some new stuff in the next few months, I’ve sent out a ton of boxes over the last couple of months,.. I need to restock lol... that’s basically why we moved south though, we can rockhound year round & we’ve only had one snow in 2 years
