    Even though I'm not a Deere man, you got to love the sound of a John Deere six cylinder!

    Here is an other tip i gave my customers. On starting every morning i would have them go through all the adjustments (concave,fanspeed,beater and or rotator speed.header speed, sieves) open al the way and close all the way or speed up and down to maintain mobility in adjustments, then back to operating settings.It takes 5 minutes but reduces a lot of headaches.

    Here is a tric to always have the hoses on the right way. When installed as you want them put a small coloured tie wrap on the right hose of each hose set, you will never have to go back and change them. Just remember that colour is right side.

    • @WesFarms
      @WesFarms  Před 4 lety

      I usually put the hoses in the holder the way they go in the tractor if that makes sense, but someone else unhooked the auger cart.

    Here is where preventive maintenance is important. When you see a belt or any piece of equipment that looks iffy when doing you prevention maintenance before starting the season ,change it because, i will break on you while working and cause you down time. I yet to se a piece of equipment breaking while in storage and not working.Unless you leave the lights on or monitors while in storage that will cause battery failure .
    I always suggested to my customers to change the belts that had to be removed in order to reach the damaged one. This way they al have the same age and wear and reduce in field down time.

    • @WesFarms
      @WesFarms  Před 4 lety +1

      We inspect our machine every year. This belt didn’t get put back on one pulley quite right and that’s why it blew on startup. Stuff happens

    If you harvested most of your corn in one day I take it you harvested it all in 2 days. Doesn’t make sense to own a combine and grain cart. Do you have custom harvesters in your area?
