If it’s anything lie the tile plows that we use in South Dakota the cable from the case goes right under the belly of the big bud and attaches directly to plow. Just has a loop or two off the bottom of the big bud to keep the cable centered and out from under the tires.

So I am guessing that ripper was designed to be pulled by a monster dozer if those two tractors are working that hard to yank it. I have several miles of fiber optic that would cost millions as it carries millions of connections between Denver to Houston. Several miles of helium 8" that is 8 feet deep. Miles of 8 to 16" natural gas. I have many miles of 480 volt power. 2" gas lines to pump irrigation wells. Then water lines 8" to 15" While installing a electric supply this Spring we hit a 8" gas line that is abandoned and not on a map. I call 811 often. I just got off my combine and it feel more relaxing to be getting 3700 bu of corn each hour so I can pay for more lines!

I don't know about a vibrating plow because it would be horrible on the pins and bushings I would think and the vibration could potentially wreck a laser receiver or gps units which are often used and of course they are mounted to the actual plow because they need to control the thing. On my plow " I was just an operator, "I didn't own it" I think I remember a pin or two that were about 5" square. The square also acted like a keyway to make the pins not turn and make the wear bushing turn. Kinda weird but with the tremendous force it makes sense. So I think vibrating would probably only work on small plows, maybe not quite as big as the one in this video but probably anything smaller. Something that helps make it pull easier? I used to weld the sides of my plow with stainless steel because stainless steel pulled easier through the ground than ABR400. We were often very concerned with a very precision grade, so it was important to keep all the linkage, pins and bushings tight. Sometimes running a grade on a 500th. You want accuracy. Precision to let drainage or pumped water flow at it's maximum potential for efficiency because sometimes it would have to go for many many miles where there was no electricity to put in pumps. This is a small plow in the video but a good size for this particular job. The bottom of my plow was about 11 feet long, the idea with a long plow was not just about capacity but also precision for the bottom of the trench where the pipe lays. A longer plow will always do smoother because it has way more area on the bottom of the trench. On big plows the capacity of digging down over 10' feet and 24" wide is common. However it usually was impossible to pull over 8' or 9' deep so everything that had to go to specific grade that deep was usually put in with an excavator. Usually if we needed more traction we would bolt up to 6" tall grouser pads onto the tracks. Can't do that with a farm tractor. However I hear farm tractors do good unless it rains a little and gets slimy on top. Then they just don't have traction. In these situations it's all about traction. If you spin out and can't go, You can't ever back up with the plow down. It must come up out of the ground if you need to back up. To restart you have to have a pilot hole.

Growing up on the east coast it was pretty much once you left the city and inner burbs you pretty much had wells, septic and heated with electric, propane or oil.
