Magazine subscriptions, store credit cards, etc. So many times I've wanted to say "Dude customers do not want these". We had a rule of 3 no's... If they say no the first time Im not gonna ask two more times to annoy them.

I had an ex-military Officer as a boss. Her whole thing was to yell at us and triple check protocol for everything. I had to be at work 30 minutes early to properly set up my work station and have everything prepared before signing in at the right time. If I wasn’t early I was late, and if I got up from my desk because my coffee wasn’t made or on my work table I would be yelled at since I should of done that at the 30 minutes early Mark. The worst was arriving late because the sign in was in her office in the back. You had to walk past everyone’s desk to the back office where our boss would be sitting. It was a literal walk of shame.

The only boss I've ever really had is my dad when I work summers with him at the family store restocking shelves. Also had a summer as a cashier there when his sister was technically my boss, but she was never really around. Interacting with customers as a cashier made me grateful for my stocking job. My dad's pretty easy going too. He's particular about how boxes are packed though, so I soon gave up on trying to perfect repacking, and now he does it alone while I do a lot of the shelf work. Win-win. We get through the work a lot faster. --- All I hope is that my future boss after college isn't "robot" boss or "I don't know what to do" boss. lol

All the bosses out there, your employees are human too. Confront they in a better way or you will just get all the cursing that they have for you everytime you being in your negative attitude.

I quit. Had one who told me to wear an eye patch when I called out with pink eye (with a doctor's note since I worked in a drug store and was highly contagious)...and another one who, when I called off because I was on my way to the ER, texted me a list of phone numbers to call and find my own replacement.
