If in the future you do microphone comparisons again, it would be helpful to record ten seconds of dead air with each mic so viewers can hear any significant differences in the inherent noise floor.

Hey! just wanted to say that I got the Mackie mic and i'm glad I did. the sound is really clear and it doesn't capture annoying background noise. i'm using it to record vocals for my demos. the only downside is that it doesn't come with a tripod or pop filter but it was worth it in the end. Thanks!

I got a Snowball about 10 years ago and it was kind of fail. It worked ok in the beginning, but it was picking up noise from my soundcard internally, which was very noticeable on multitrack recordings. After a couple of months, the USB connection in the back of the mic developed issues and I started getting random crackling in all my recordings as well. Switching to an XLR condenser connected to the laptop via a Scarlett 2i4 fixed all issues. Obviously, USB mics are still useful for various applications, but I don't trust Blue anymore.

Thanks this really helps me with my decision I was going to get this $250 mic but I’m sure one of these $50 mics will be very useful and a massive upgrade from my Xbox mic that I was previously making videos with on my other channel, I had to put so many filters over it in OBS to sound even close to any of these $50 ones so I’m excited that I can get a huge upgrade for a fraction of what I was going to spend. Good review.

The thing I find when listening to demos like this, is once it goes on it's journey, in and out of You tube and then out of my stereo. I can not tell a difference. you at your end may very well hear a difference. so I say if you need a mic for youtube, skype or zoom spending a bit more money say going up from, 20 quid to 60 quid may only make a tiny difference. If you was to spend 350 to 400 plus add in a mic amp ect. Then yes we the listener will hear a difference. The age of the listener and how good their hearing remains is a big factor. also finding that mic that suits your voice can make a massive difference and then making some EQ adjustments. Still a great and use full video.

It's the best you won't feel the need to change mic for a long period of time unless it gets broken.
From your comment i estimate that you are tight on budget but i would advise you that if possible increase your budget and go for mackie you will never be tensed regarding your vocal recordings.

Hey man! I was wondering what dynamic mic you would recommend (200$ budget) for gaming. I tried the AKG D5 but i felt it didnt have the presence i needed or wanted... My voice is kinda bassy and dark in a way? Cheers!

Behringer xm8500. That mic is insane, and only $35. All day, every day. For a Condenser handheld, the Rode M2. Another good mention -- Zoom Q2U.

Do you know a good mic for, if my fan was blowing in back ground it wouldn't pick it up, Because the one i have now, Works to hard on the Noise suppression to the point where it doesn't wanna focus on my voice, I need a Reliable Mic that's not overpriced.

I think for starting up the AK-60. I'm not a singer. Just want a clear speaking voice. And getting all that equipment. It's a decent investment for me who just wants to try at streaming games. Thanks so much.
