Thank you!
If in the future you do microphone comparisons again, it would be helpful to record ten seconds of dead air with each mic so viewers can hear any significant differences in the inherent noise floor.
I will see what I can do next time 👌🏼
I was hoping to hear a sample of a voice
@@StarOasis26 ? he did sound tests

This video had all the information I was looking for - hearing simple non-EQed quality, an appraisal of what the different mics are best for, the perks and drawbacks of the options. Incredibly useful. Thank you!
i think the mackie sounds the cleanest in the voice test tbh.
I agree!
Totally. Has the most natural sound.
I liked the fine sound but disliked the noise floor it had a hisssss
The blue snowball sounded real silent
@@W0rldViralDaily i think the opposite. you could hear the mans breathing. for thats not a good choise
Hey! just wanted to say that I got the Mackie mic and i'm glad I did. the sound is really clear and it doesn't capture annoying background noise. i'm using it to record vocals for my demos. the only downside is that it doesn't come with a tripod or pop filter but it was worth it in the end. Thanks!
Im interested in the Mackie as well. Do you find yourself wishing you got something with headphone monitoring or a gain knob? Can you control gain with software? Sorry im looking for my first usb mic (or any mic for that matter) and I don't know what I want.
How is it holding up 1 year later?
Edward you literally have a video on everything studio-equipment related 😂 Thank you! It makes my research soooo much easier 🧡
The Mackie sounded the best to me. My suggestion for next time is to include the microphone pick-up pattern - omnidirectional, cardioid etc. Thanks for the review.
This really helped me out as my headset mic is starting to give up on me and it just keeps cutting out and just not working happy I found this video and keep up the content
Yea thats why im here too lol. i see this was 3 months ago so im just wondering if you bought one of them and what you think about it. :)
Roblox
I got a Snowball about 10 years ago and it was kind of fail. It worked ok in the beginning, but it was picking up noise from my soundcard internally, which was very noticeable on multitrack recordings. After a couple of months, the USB connection in the back of the mic developed issues and I started getting random crackling in all my recordings as well. Switching to an XLR condenser connected to the laptop via a Scarlett 2i4 fixed all issues. Obviously, USB mics are still useful for various applications, but I don't trust Blue anymore.
This is so perfect for beginners especially for budget friendly
Awesome! Thanks for watching Elo!! 🙏🏼
Its more expensive in Canada :(
@@endless1247 It is more cheaper in Britain :) everything is 10 bucks cheaper
Ooh really woman 2022
I use my tonor tc-777 for both talking and recording saxophone and I can verify it is absolutely incredible. Perfect for talking and turning down the volume to like 80% is perfect for sax, picks up dynamics ,articulation, and tone gorgeously, can't recommend it enough
Thanks for sharing!
Had mine for 10 months and now there's a random static.
I've been looking for a mic to record Saxaophone myself! Thanks so much for the info.
That's crazy, I was looking for a microphone specifically for my sax as well.
@@OneOfYourFrenchGirIs get it! Goes on sale for 25$ every once in a while too.
thank you so much for this! i was just looking for a good budget mic and was getting really stressed with all the options but you presented the pros and cons of each one really well! plus my budget is exactly $50 so this video was perfect for me lol. so many of the other lists of "budget mics" i found were in the hundreds omg
Glad I could help!
I really like the one with all the accessories, I thought it had a nice sound. I like the ability to move it and the headphones also. Tough choice. Thanks for the video.
I agree!!! Thanks for watching 🙏🏼
This is so helpful, thank you! I am looking to set up my first CZcams channel with mostly talking but possibly also want to add some singing in the future. I wasn't happy about having to spend a lot on a good microphone which is then mostly made for studio recording and therefore not ideal for making CZcams videos.
Thanks this really helps me with my decision I was going to get this $250 mic but I’m sure one of these $50 mics will be very useful and a massive upgrade from my Xbox mic that I was previously making videos with on my other channel, I had to put so many filters over it in OBS to sound even close to any of these $50 ones so I’m excited that I can get a huge upgrade for a fraction of what I was going to spend. Good review.
Which particular usb microphone in all the phones you tested would be best for connecting to recording software on an iPhone or iPad? I noticed none came with any kind of added lightning connection.
Thank you. I have had a Snowball for several years, and I sing and write Christian music. I am a soprano and the Snowball doesn't sound good on the high notes. I thought in your sound test the Mackie had the best sound, so I will try to get that and see if it works better with my singing voice. God bless.
Thank you, I'm researching for the right beginner microphone. I am hoping to start my CZcams channel soon. Also, I like your "comfortable" background; you should do a video on a good set up for that as well. I appreciate you, young brother 👍
Thank you so much for watching!! Since you like my background, watch this video - czcams.com/video/G19dhmjVcKg/video.html
@@EdwardSmithMusic Awesome! Thank you 👍
The mackie, the aokeo and the blue snowball did the best performance from my perspective.
Nice voice test bossman.
Thanks for watching!!
I use the FiFine Mic, I got it with a bundle that came with the pop filter, the wind sock, and the arm along with the mic, mic stand, and 6ft usb chord all for $50 good ass deal
Awesome!!
link??
Hello, I know I'm very late to comment, sorry! I'm looking for a mic that can pick up good keyboard sounds. What would you recommend out of the ones you showed in this video?
Thank you very much for your video! Which microphone you recommend for grand piano recording?
Hi Edward... Could you pls suggest which one is best for vocal singing?
Hi I wanted to buy the Aokeo mic but the shipping to my country is VERY expensive. Do you have any recommendations on where I could buy it or recommendations for mics for gaming and singing?
Hey bro im currently using the mic from my logitech g332 headset but im not very happy with the quality, would any of these mics be an upgrade over that?
How does your all the tracks sound so clean? Did you apply noise reduction to all of em?
how do you feel about the the blue snowball for rapping & vocals.Or which mic do you recommend?
Thanks so much very well explained. Mackie EM-91 CU can be connected with DSLR Video Camera? I am using Pantax K70. I need a nice microphone for recording for my DSLR Camera. Please guide me.
The FIFine T669 Kit is by far the best value. 53 bucks you get everything and its built very good.
Hey! thanks for the video, you're definitely underrated. I'm looking for a sort of all-rounder, as I sing, game, and record my voice for videos (I also record my acoustic guitar sometimes). Which do you think is the best option for me?
Thanks man!! I would go for the Aokeo to be honest 👌🏻
Does anyone know if I can use the mackie microphone on a ps4 ? Or do I have to have a pc
I’d probably use any of these!! I was honestly surprised by the sound quality..
Hello. Do you know of a good adaptor I could purchase so I could use a USB mic on my cellphone? Thanks :)
Im kind of stuck between getting the FIFINE and Mackie, Im still not sure of which one to get if anyone knows anything about these 2 mics and which one to get that would be helpful
i literally was just on amazon looking for a good usb mic and then i seen this video thanks
Thanks for watching!! 🙏🏼
Kinda a weird question but what is the other side of the cable called on the aokeo (not the usb side)
look up sudotack st 600 and it looks so similar eith the maono one. Is it just a rebrand?
I have been looking for a good quality microphone for so long, its the final piece that I needed to my setup and by chance I came across this video! Thank you so much, definitely subscribing, you are a blessing
My pc has separate like headphone jack things for the mic, will that effect the USB versions?
I would love to use your review but I have a few requirements I need to hear in my head set my voice in real-time , would like to be able to connect to PC while streaming and want it to be dynamic mic. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
So can you listen to a headphone attached to the Mackie? Or can I get some adapter to attach directly to the mic
Just one question, I have a phone. Which I would be recording and making my music on. However it doesn't take usb, it has a usbc plug. And the earbud plug. Would there be a way to still use a usb mic?
I'm a bit confused. I bought the aokeo however the link in the desc isn't the ak-60. It says the ak-998 and im not sure if it's the same product showed in this video.
I’m getting the Aokeo, thank you so much for these videos! You helped me a lot! ✌️
How is your experience with the Aokeo Mic?
I know this is a bit late for there’s a kit with the maono pm461tr with a boom arm shockmount and pop filter for around 45-50$ do you think its worth it?
Your videos have helped to encourage me in my ministry thank you so much for caring about the beginners. God bless you.
This was so helpful thank you!
Everybody asked and everybody needed comparison like this.
Good job :D
Thanks so much for watching!! 🙏🏼
I was Literally looking for a mic & your video saved me !!!
Awesome! Thanks so much for watching!!
Great video, Edward...you've got great energy! From N. Kentucky, U.S.A.
Wow, thank you!
Have a very basic question , what software should one use to edit his locals if they are starting out new? So, the voice from this mic how do I edit it and add tunes to it etc ?
i want to place my mic to my right or left side of the desk the distance between me and the mic is about 65 cm is this to far to get a good teamspeak voice?
6:32 I like the Maono Usb for $28 - thanks for the reviews
snowball is very durable had mine since 2014 it fell a couple times got chipped up never fell apart and still works til this day good money spent
What were the hexagonal headphones at 5:03 ? Those arent the headphones you had listed in your disc.
The thing I find when listening to demos like this, is once it goes on it's journey, in and out of You tube and then out of my stereo. I can not tell a difference. you at your end may very well hear a difference. so I say if you need a mic for youtube, skype or zoom spending a bit more money say going up from, 20 quid to 60 quid may only make a tiny difference. If you was to spend 350 to 400 plus add in a mic amp ect. Then yes we the listener will hear a difference. The age of the listener and how good their hearing remains is a big factor. also finding that mic that suits your voice can make a massive difference and then making some EQ adjustments. Still a great and use full video.
Thank you so much dude I needed a mic because when I talk with my friends on discord my voice sounds crappy this will help
Glad I could help!
Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks!
Thank you for watching!! 🙏🏼
The Mackie microphone is probably my favorite 👍
It’s pretty good 👌🏼
Thanks for comparisons 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Lol after the sound tests I rly tho bout...hmmm its between Aokeo and Mackie
i got the aokeo because it comes with a boom arm and pop filter out of the box
I'm a beginner on this. After your review, i will probably go for snowball. If it will be used for vocals, do you think there will be any sound delay if I connect the headphone and the microphone separately with the laptop? Thanks!
probally not, i wont really cause delay
Great overview - supper helpful - thanks!
Thanks!! Glad it was helpful!!
Another awesome video! Actually considering on getting the FiFine!
Thank you so much!!
Where do you connect those mics if not using PC only like tv and console ?
Thank you! The test is the only one i found on utube
Glad it helped!
Dude I just wanna say thank you this is super helpful 🙏🏻🤩
Glad it helped!
Would you rather pick the Tonor or the FIFine for HipHop? I’m having a hard time finding a the right decision 😅 or do you have an other fav for this case? (These two are the only ones available in Germany for under 50€)
i would recommend the fifine, it has the most natural noise out of the three
I would recommend mackie
It's the best you won't feel the need to change mic for a long period of time unless it gets broken.
From your comment i estimate that you are tight on budget but i would advise you that if possible increase your budget and go for mackie you will never be tensed regarding your vocal recordings.
fifine hat gerade ein angebot mit arm und allen accessories für 30 euro
i personnaly got tonor and fifine go with fifine
ich auchhhh
Thanks alot. I really wanted to get the Aokeo but it's no longer avaible at the moment :( Ur video was very helpfull tho!
Thanks man!! The new mic I linked in the Description below is even better!! 🙌🏻 Review coming on Thursday 🙏🏻
Nice one, i’m going to get the aoeko one , because of the boom arm and good build quality and also very good sound 👍. i’m trusting you on this one ED, ill edit this after i’ve used it and give my thoughts, CYA!
so is it good?
soooo how was it?!
tysm man god bless you and be safe
Edwards graph day by day 🔥🔥!!! We all will be there for you till we all reach the big mile stone! Road to 100k🥳🥳❤️
Thank you so much Vincent 🙏🏼
Hey man! I was wondering what dynamic mic you would recommend (200$ budget) for gaming. I tried the AKG D5 but i felt it didnt have the presence i needed or wanted... My voice is kinda bassy and dark in a way? Cheers!
I heard for gaming, this microphone is pretty good - amzn.to/3pcKD7Q
@@EdwardSmithMusic Oh idont really like the way condensers picks up like envoirment sound.... id really like a dynamic mic :(
Behringer xm8500. That mic is insane, and only $35. All day, every day. For a Condenser handheld, the Rode M2. Another good mention -- Zoom Q2U.
What was the song behind in intro? Cuz a guy from my country has used it.
Bro i bought the aokeo mic and I can’t figure out how to get my laptop to record audio. Is this a plug and play mic or am I being dumb?
I was looking for a good mic to play remote dueling this video really helped!
Awesome!! Thanks for watching!!
I ended up getting the blue snowball it’s perfect
Ive tried out the mackie and im impressed by how it sounds 🔥🔥🔥
Is it good? Im thinking of buying it
amazing video brodie!!!
settled for the Aokeo Mic!! thanks for the review!
Glad I could help!
Oh and perso I think the better one in terms of voice quality and qualify's to the top 3 are : 1 Maono, 2 Mackie and 3 the bonus one.
i’ve seen a few mackies on amazon which is the one from the video?
Amazing and clearly comparision
What microphone do you recommend for my Android cell phone? that sounds nice to sing.
Thank you, very well explained
IMO ~ Snowball & Aokeo depending whether you need accessories or not.
Fifine next with nice price.
Hate to do this are any of these mics condenser or dynamic mics?
Thanks for this video!!
Glad it was helpful!
Just waiting for this 'Specific '

I like ur smile bro...brightens the mood...and yes, thanks so much for such a clear n informative video.
Thank you so much 😀
this was really helpful, thank you!!💯
Glad I could help!
Do you know a good mic for, if my fan was blowing in back ground it wouldn't pick it up, Because the one i have now, Works to hard on the Noise suppression to the point where it doesn't wanna focus on my voice, I need a Reliable Mic that's not overpriced.
Hi edwards i really needed this video at the moment, thank u bro
Thanks so much for watching 🙏🏼
@@EdwardSmithMusic witch one works on PS4 cuz it’s nearly my bday
Awesome tips, thanks so much!!!

Thank you for this! Big help!
Awesome!! Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
I think for starting up the AK-60. I'm not a singer. Just want a clear speaking voice. And getting all that equipment. It's a decent investment for me who just wants to try at streaming games. Thanks so much.
If I already have a pop filter and a boom arm which would you recommend, I’m stuck between the mackie and the aokeo
The Mackie would be my go to 👌🏻
Hey brother what's about t669 from fifine? It's under 50$,I think it will overtake all 💙💙 cheers to you
preciate this bro keep grinding
