If my baby does sleep through the whole night is it ok to let her sleep without waking her up & feeding her?
@@almaneeman7935 thank you for sharing, really learning a lot from you ma
This is a highly under rated channel. The contents are very useful amd will go a long way in improving your baby's healthy development process. ❤️🙏
Thanks so much for that lovely compliment!❤️
I agree, this is my go to channel!
Whatever doctor said luckily my baby doing all those things thank god🙏🙏
Expecting in 2 months. Planned to watch all your videos. They are resourceful, logical and very helpful to plan my parenthood. ❤
My baby is 3 months plus she does everything you said aside rolling. Is it okay? Thanks for your selfless service to humanity. As a first time mom, you have no idea how helpful your channel has been to me I really appreciate.
When did your baby end up rolling?
My baby has been doing all of these since 10 weeks. Including sleeping through the night 😊
My 3 older kids needed help sleeping at that age, but my current 12 week old will put himself to sleep all the time. He will be playing on his mat and then he will just doze off. He also has less naps during the day. Maybe 3 naps, but sleeps longer stretches. Wakes up all night long though to nurse. He also rolls from back to tummy. His little hands are always closed still. He started laughing a few weeks ago. So sweet little angel.
Omg thank you for addressing naps. I’m sick of feeling like I’ve done something wrong. Both my children nap/napped 4-5 times a day and for only 30mins. They’d mostly wake happy so I wouldn’t bother resettling. There’s so much noise from sleep programs that would tell me my baby is both under and overtired because they only slept 30mins. Both kids have hit milestones on time or ahead.
it's my pleasure!
Excellent information for first time parents. I loved the tip on how to get a baby to release hair or objects! The information on sleep is very helpful and a big topic of conversation amongst us mum’s.
I always feel sleep is very important too. Lots of confusing information out there for us mums.
Thank you! Greetings from Poland!
My twins are preemies and one is constantly in the hospital since he has BDP. They are five months (3 months adjusted). They seem to be on target. I’m hoping PT will also help. Thanks for this video!!
Ty so much, i am extremely tired as a mom of twins, this video gives me comfort that all those short naps are ok. With the putting them to sleep i have a problem, they are already too heavy for me I have backpain
Glad I could help! I have a video on catnaps which you might find helpful in getting tips to help with getting your twins to start start falling asleep in the cot. Sounds like you are doing an amazing job!
Great tips . Thank you… I was counter checking with my baby and so happy to realise that she is actually achieving all the said milestones .. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That's great!
Great tips! Especially for realistic sleep expectations. Thanks so much!
I find knowing the realistic sleep expectations so helpful. I feel it help to reduce the stress and failures we sometimes feel as parents when we are trying to get our little ones into a sleep routine and can’t.
My 11 weeks old is a terrible sleeper and everything I read said my baby should be a better sleeper. Thank you for telling me that my baby's sleep is actually normal!!! Very helpful
No worries at all!
These are wonderful, now I’m aware of what to expect! You are doing an excellent work on these videos🤩
Glad you like them!
Thank you💗 I'm so happy that my little one is putting himself to sleep at time. I wonder if that means he is learning to comforting himself.
I am always interested to see what milestones are coming up next for my baby and I look to your videos for credible and easily digestible information. Thanks!
Thanks so much Suzanne! I’m glad my videos are helping 🙂
Finally I found so informative channel for my babay❤️😍🥰
What a great informative video. Can’t wait for the next one.
Glad your liking the videos. Thanks for watching.
I have gladly subscribed after watching a couple of your videos because they are much more trustworthy than type A moms' videos whose children reach milestones months before other children, have 2 hour naps and sleep 12 hours straight at night LOL I have an 11 wo baby who sleeps for only one cycle and needs settling/resettling and I was starting to believe I was doing something wrong. I feel much more normal with the information you provide. Thank you.
So pleased to hear that you are finding the videos helpful. Sleeping one sleep cycle and needing your help to settle is perfectly normal. You sound like you are doing a great job. Honestly the first 4 months are hard but it does start to get easier when they start to develop a more predictable pattern.
Thank you for this wondering video it really help me
Nurse here> If your baby is sleeping throughout the night considering a night is from 10-11pm- 6/7am(7- 9hrs) that's not recommended. Do not forget to check on your babies throughout the night.❤
I wake up my little one for a small night feed before he goes back to sleep, but why wouldn't that long of a sleep be recommended?
I'm a very lucky mom, my daughter has been sleeping till 5 to 6 am since she was about a month old. And she was already sort of reached most of these milestones at 2.5 months now
I am a first time mom and this channel is very helpful. Thanks Emma
You're so welcome!
Thank you so much! Subscribed ! I just had a baby 3 months ago I don’t have any concerns with her but I binge watched your videos just to make sure my little one is doing what she is supposed to be doing you do a great job at explaining
Hi Carly, congratulations on your little ones arrival and welcome to motherhood. I am so happy to hear these videos are helping you feel more at ease and are easy to understand.
Emma Hubbard I’m shocked you don’t have a larger following !
Thanks! Just starting out. Happy for you to pass my details on to other new parents.
I might have the most average baby ever (I mean that in a positive way, I'm super glad he's not missing anything right now) Every single thing you mentioned my baby can do, including the sleep thing. He'll sleep from 930 - 330 and then at 5 or 6, and then again at 8 or 9 am and then up for the day. Also doing those 30 min naps lol
He scares the hell out of me... he tries SO HARD to roll on his (back to) belly. I know he can because I put him to bed on his back, and when I woke up he was on his belly 😭 And one day I was in the kitchen and he's on his playmat .. I looked at him and he was on his belly!! It takes him like, a half an hour or more but he does it 😂🥰
Love the tips. This gives excellent outline of what we may be seeing at 3mths for a baby and how to handle this stage as a parent.
Glad you found it helpful.
Somehow my babe started sleeping 11-12 hours nightly at 12 weeks old 😯 I’m very fortunate!! Naps are only 45 min though
this video was very helpful
My baby is 9 weeks old can already do most of the staff you mentioned now she is really rolling her hips left and right trying to turn from front to back
I’m a lucky momma, my baby sleeps throughout the night🙌🏻
@kelinda velasco thats awesome. Enjoy the sleep!

I think many parents have very different definitions of "through the night". This is overlooked
mine too! 💞
This helps me a lot. I'm lucky that my baby is asleep at night. She's turning 3 months this july 13.
Small youtuber here🥰
My baby just 03 months at July 09
Thanks for these useful tips. My baby of 3 months barely naps during the day 😩 as I know it's a must for her development but still she has achieved all these 3 months milestones and recently she rolled from her back to her tummy on her own.
Mine barely napped too. I found out he had silent acid reflux and that was causing it. Got him on a daily medication and life has been better. Hope things ironed out for you, seeing as this was a few months ago 💕
Thanks for this. Godbless 😊
You're welcome 😊
Thankyou so much so helpful ☺

Thank you for the great info ❤
No worries at all!
Omg thanks for the hair trick
Awesome, my baby girl turns 3 months today! She is ahead of the game hehe. And she will give me at least 1 x 5 hour stint of sleep at night, which is waaayyy easier than the first month hehe
Sounds like she is doing so well. Also great you’re able to get a good stint of sleep. One section of uninterrupted sleep at night makes so much difference
thanks
It’s crazy my baby was doin all of this at only 2 weeks old all the way til now and she’s only 2 months!! Wow!! I had her at 37 weeks also!! I have videos to prove it and the things a 3 month old suppose to do, she’s been doin!!
Same here
Thank you so much 💓
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching 🙂
My baby sleeps from 45
Min up to 1,5 hour pr nap and through the night !
Emma I can translate your videos in Turkish. Turkish moms like these kinds of videos a lot.
Great tips! Love the tip on how to let go of hair 🤪. The milestone chart is excellent thanks so much!
Thanks for watching. I found the tip on how to let go of the hair so helpful with my son. When he was a bub he kept grabbing his hair and crying because he couldn’t let go.
Great video with very good information 👍,
It's getting very tough to settle my 3months baby to sleep, any tips would be greatly appreciated..
All the milestones in the video describe my 11 week old baby. She had a bit of a sleep regression when she went through a growth spurt last week but she is getting back to her normal sleep patterns at night. She started laughing out loud at 10 weeks and even laughs aloud in her sleep. She has the most lively laugh. We also have conversations with her when I talk and she coos back. Most precious times. 😊😊😊
So cute!! I'm glad you're loving these very special moments 😊
This content is very useful ❤️ my baby is 3 month old and she behaves exactly the you said 👍👍 thank you so much for educating us on parenting ❤️👍👍🥰
It’s my pleasure!
My baby been sleeping through the night since he was born he goes to bed at 10:30am and wakes up at 3am or 4am he's been doing this since he was born
My 3 month old baby wakes up to feed 2 times a night bedtime mostly is either 7pm or 8 pm
My baby usually falls asleep around 9 and wakes up 5-5:30 sometimes 6
My baby is now 3 months and he is starting to show teething symptoms. As a first time mom I am little bit worried because he is a lot fuzzy during night time from 5pm to 8pm. Luckily he sleeps through the night and wakes up 2 to 3 times for feeds.
Thanks for the hair grabbing tip!
Happy to help!
I my baby is 3+ months and does exactly what u said😊😊.. even in night ❤❤
That’s awesome!
Nyc video my baby is doing the same what u told in the video
That's great
Awesome video, thanks!! My 12 week old baby is doing most things except I can't keep him on his side for side lying, he just falls on his back.
He sleeps from 7:30pm to 7am when I wake him to start the day 😊
Thanks so much for sharing!
I know it isn’t recommended by the AAP but sleeping with my baby right next to me, spooning even, has helped my 2-3m old sleep through the night since I started. Doesn’t even wake up when I change his diaper, and only stirs to eat and the breast is right there so sleep is constant. It’s been amazing, if you do it safely, it’s fine.
My baby is now approaching the 3 months mark and currently she definitely needs a nap every 120 min the least! She also only sleeps most of the time for 30 min - 45 min just as you said. If she doesn't get her naps during the day, she is pretty cranky in the evening. I noticed that she really needs a quiet, dark place to settle for sleep. She needs our help to calm down but once her eyes are closed, she can get herself back to sleep in case she should be awake due to a noise etc. When I talked to the doctor about the naps during the day, she said that it is unusual that a baby at 3 months still requires napping every 1h - 1,5h. She said they should have longer wake period up to 3h, but to be honest, I know my baby and know when she is tired. What you were describing seems most accurate to what babies need at that age! Also, I noticed that when she gets enough sleep during the day, she doesn't have the "witch hours" but settles for her night sleep very well. Currently she wakes 3 times in total during the night.
Mine too
My baby will be 3 in 3 days.
She’s so far achieved all the milestones except the sleep one. It’s so hard to get her into sleep during daytime. I even make the room as dark as nighttime but still it’s a no. She hardly sleeps 12 hours.
My Baby too..he Doesn't sleep even 12 hours
Half of all toddlers in my country stop sleeping at age 3. If they hit their milestones and are happy through the day its fine
Hi. I love all your videos. My baby has started sleeping through the night. But sometimes it makes me wonder if im a bad momma for not waking her up to feed her at night. What do you think i should do? My baby turns 3 month on Aug 18th.
Very informative video especially for a new mum like me. Thank you for sharing😀
Glad it was helpful!
super useful
Glad you think so!
Hi Emma, Thanks for sharing valuable information. Our baby was due to born on 18th January 2023 but actually took birth on 28th December 2022. My question is, do we count 3 months from 18th January or 28th December? Please advise
I love this channel 😭 plus you have an accent so of course everything you say is true 😂
Wow! How to do it.my baby always crying out loud every hour
When you say resettle to sleep. Are you saying to try to put them back to sleep after they wake up from a 45min nap?
My 3 month old has one nap in the day and sleeps all night 😮
My little one is 12 weeks right now. Since he is 6kg already, I started to sleep training last week. It took 3 nights by the CIO method. Last 2 nights, he went to sleep on his own in about 10 minutes without any crying, just listening to baby music. He is fully brestfed and slept through the night yesterday. I actually had to wake him up at 5 am as my brests were too full and sore. Hopefully, it will continue as well with other milestones. He hates tummy time right now. I wonder if it is because he has always full tummy and tummy time makes him uncomfortable and spitting out. 🤔
Hi Emma, your video was really helpful. My son is 3 months 7 days old. He doesn't roll on his sides yet. Is it normal?
I am a lucky momma, she sleeps through the night 🎀
Is the video at 2:58 seconds laughing? I always imagined the typical baby giggle? My baby does this "laugh" at 2:58 but I thought it was just excited coos
My son just turned 3 months and he’s sucking his thumb or fist when his Binky falls out… grabbing objects with both hands and wants to taste/everything. The past week he rolls over from his back onto his stomach and is legitimately trying to crawl but gets stuck in first gear forgets to hit the clutch and stalls out lol 😂He 100% still needs to be rocked by to sleep and wakes up 3-5 times a night… my wife is a super hero and most mothers are! I just feel bad not being able to do more and help out. With breast feeding I do my best to make sure my wife is well fed and constantly pushing her to get her nails done etc. yesterday she finally got a hair cut 💇♀️ I got lucky, little bundle of joy slept the entire time. Feel so guilty like I’m not helping my wife enough and don’t know what else I can do…… wish she would tell me and I would do it…..
Hi Emma,
Is it possible to have develoomental milestone for preterm babies?
My 3 months old sleep 5 hours through the night but only take naps in 30-45 minutes 2-3 times in the daytime. Is that normal?
my baby sleeps from 12 to 7am then wakes up at 7am . I feed her and she goes back to sleep until 1030 11 the knocks out again
Hi Emma! The clenching of fist should it be completely gone by the time the child reaches 3 months or its within their 3rd - 4th month? My child still clenches his fist but would have moments when its relaxed throughout the day. He also begins to notice it and move his fingers while looking at his hands. During tummy time though he seems to prefer to clench his fist rather than relax his hand.
My 3 and a half month old sleeps and eats well, but has suddenly become very fussy and clingy. Is this a normal phase?
My baby hates lying on her side, but tolerates tummy time. It’s like she throws her head back when on her side and just fussed. She’s 12 weeks and I’m worried without the side lying it will delay her development rolling?
What to do with a baby who wont nap easily? She cry sometimes when i try for napping and eventually she sleep, but i feel bad because she get too tired easily and most of the times she is not even over tired but just incredible hungry for sleep .
We sleep trained at 2 months old and she now sleeps 12-13 hours at night. She goes to bed at 6-7 pm and I wake her up at 7 am to eat. She settles herself by sucking her thumb. Only took 2 days to not cry anymore.
How to train??
Unlucky☹️ Papa sleep disturbs us alot.all the other things are great.
My son does majority of these milestones except hold his hands together. Is that normal? He was also born at 37 weeks.
My 3 month old sleeps from midnight to 9. 30am
My baby boy is three months and he is still bobbing quite a bit when hes sitting supported. :( also he doesn’t roll onto his side. But he’s got everything else down
My baby is 3.5 months but still not rolling over on her own. If I start to roll her legs she’ll finish the roll but she never initiates a roll even if I have her track a toy. Any tips on helping her reach this milestone?
So doing the ‘Taking Cara Babies’ is too early at this stage?
My 3 month baby don't sleep whole night what to do..
@emmahubbard when do babies typically start being able to sleep independently and does this mean that putting a 3 month old down "drowsy but awake" is normally difficult? I struggle with this with my 3 month old. I don't want her to have a hard time learning to fall asleep independently but there's so much conflicting info out there about how and when to start. Do you recommend sleep training and if so at what age?
what if baby sleeps for more than 3 hours during the day at this age?
Thank you for all the informations , would be great if you could do a video on what to expect for premature babies , i have a 4 month old preemie ( born @ 33 weeks ) and is difficult to track his milestones
Hi Andreea thanks for your message. Typically when we see a baby who was born prematurely we would based the milestones we are expecting on their corrected/adjusted age. So your little one was born 7 weeks premature. To make it easy to calculate I would say 2 months premature. So you said he is 4 months old I would minus 2 months - so we would be aiming for the 2 month developmental milestones now. Hope that makes sense.
@@EmmaHubbard thank you so much ❤️ it does make sense 🤗
Your welcome.
My Baby hasnt met any of the fine motor milestones and shes just started her 12th week. Is there anything I can do to encourage her to open her hands?
Great tips.. Subscribed..✌Very much helpful for me.. My son is pre mature (32weeks and 5 days) and he is 3 months old now.. Is it applicable for him.. Cos, he is trying to turn on his side now and he is not responding while calling out his name... But smiles without sound while talking near his face.. Am very much concern now.. Can u pls explain..
My baby is 2.5 months old as is already trying to sit up, he hates laying down flat and won’t go on a play matt. is there anything you can suggest that would be safe for him to use that will help him sit it apart from sitting up on me? Thankyou :)
Hi Emma, I just found your channel and you’ve answered so many questions I have in my head. Regarding the thumb in the palm, my 3 month old still does it when she’s making a fist or sometimes when she’s asleep, she has them closed with her thumbs in as well until it eventually relaxes to an open hand. Is that still normal or should her thumbs not do that anymore? Thank you if you will have time to answer this. 🙏🏻
Hi Danica, if your little one is able to open up her hands (with her thumb out) when she reaches for and briefly holds a toy I would not be concerned. I would only be concerned if those thumbs were constantly in and this was then making it difficult to hold a toy.
I hope that helps clear up your concerns!
Feel like my baby is way advanced for 3 months compared to most babies
A very helpful video. By the way can you tell me how to get that development chart
Hi @Asma Thahir glad you found the video helpful. This is the link for the developmental milestone emmahubbard.com/12monthmilestones
Is the milestone at the beginning or end of the month?
My baby boy is 3 months and 1 week old, he seems to be going through a growth spurt. He seems tired and has been cooing less than before these few days. I am really worried, is this normal? Is there something I can do?
turns head to noise? that surely is a much later milestone given that localising sound isn't possible at this stage. can you clarify if you mean turns head to noise if they have a visual clue? this topic has driven me crazy and there seems to be so much misinformation on the internet.
Hi Emma..my LO is 3 months old. can make him sit with my support?? If I can make him sit for how long can I make him sit?
