Love your videos Heiko ! My Q shave has been a staple of mines for about 5 years . its very good on settings 4 and above , in fact I usually do a 2 or 3 pass with only settings 4 ..more is not usually needed . However on settings 1,2 or 3 its too mild for me . I have yet to find a blade that didnt work well in it apart from Astra Green . I think mines was about 12 bucks . one of the best value purchases I ever made.
I own the original and the QShave-clone - the QShave is very close to the original - I don`t feel any great differences. For this price the QShave is very recommandable ! 👍🏻 PS: the QShave is good on journeys.

Funny is that I bought the same razor about a year ago and also filled it up with a Feather and I was truly surprised ( till I found out it wasn't that 'bad razor' and that type of razor with a sharper blade is overal speaking better then a 'sharper razor' with a less aggressive blade ( I hope you can follow me )

It is Palmolive one word, made by Colgate-Palmolive in Italy. It actually claims to contain Palm extract. In German they say it as if it is two words but it is also Palmolive.
Heiko, just out of total curiosity I took your link to Aliexpress and found this razor is selling for $1.70. I bought it just for 💩 and giggles. We will see how it goes.

The return of the potato peeler turned out to have a plot twist...... By the end the potato peeler would not peel... You still made it work, I've never tried the palmolive cream, what's the scent ? is it similar to Proraso green ?
Palmolive doesn't have the menthol scent that Proraso has, I smell lemon and some Irish Spring. It is a very nice fresh scent, not to strong. It is good old fashioned product.
I have both the clone and the actual Futur..its night and day..the real Futur shaves much much more efficient and smoother than the clone. Yea it's super aggressive but it's totally worth it.. u should get the real one and do a side by side comparison..u will feel the difference in quality.i usually use on setting 3 then down to 1.5. Setting 4 is too much for me.
@heikoshaves I have a proposition for you! I will let you borrow my real Merkur futur for a video if you let me borrow the Rex konsul to compare to the yaqi slope??? That said….i have the Ming shi clone & it shaves EXACTLY the same at the Merkur. Few important key notes. I find the futur & clone work best with a mild blade. I find the lord platinum or better yet treet falcon carbon steel blades REALLY tame the Futur down nicely. Any sharp blades I don’t care for these razor. Very blade feely and not too forgiving with a sharp blade. Also of note. While all these clones look the same when I researched them the Q shave is said to be more aggressive. I got some no name clone @ the alignment sucked on it. The ming shi is the same shave as the Futur. I’ve done several head to head shaves with them.
I prefer a milder shave as well. I have the ming shi clone in black and quite enjoy it 😊

if you disassemble the razor you may find water coming out from the handle so yeah, keep that in mind

Slipperiness due to soap on the hands & fingers can also be manged with wrapping a rubber-band around the razor's handle.
