    Great Video. Thanks for the instruction. Mine XBs came in today and I can't wait to get home to put them in so I found this video extremely helpful. Several things I wasn't expecting. I would have been worried of breaking the OEM trying to pull it out for sure. Anyways, thanks.

    I've been seriously considering getting these. But from everything I've seen I'm apprehensive about the beam pattern. It looks very narrow. I've seen them installed on a car close to the ground but curious as to what the output looks like on a truck

      It's growing on me. If I ever decide to put the air dam back on, I may trim it down.

      Castilloh09 they were pretty bright. And pretty wide. I liked them because they didn’t stand out compared to stock. The cube ones look out of place.

    Excellent Video. Any tips on adjusting these?

    • @fondupot
      @fondupot  Před 6 lety

      Around the 3 minute mark I talk about transfer over the adjustment screw from the OEM fogs, to the new ones. You'll get a little bit of up and down adjustment from that. But I didn't move the adjuster screw at all when i transferred mine over and they were adjusted perfectly after I installed. Thanks for watching! Please Like, Subscribe and Share!

    FYI on my 2014 Sierra the passenger side light just pulls out. You do not remove the outer ring.

  • @qualitylandscapeandhauling7710

    Hi. I installed new l.e.d. bulbs in my headlights. The only problem now is i cant seem to pull out 1 of the old l.e.d. bulbs. A stereo shop installed the l.e.d.s that im now replacing. How do i pull them out ? Any special tricks ?

    • @fondupot
      @fondupot  Před 6 lety

      Shouldn't be any different than a regular halogen bulb. You need to twist them out of the socket.

  • @3doo0ooL

    Hi
    Do you know how to change map light for sierra denali 2015 ?!

    • @fondupot
      @fondupot  Před 8 lety

      Sorry, I do not. I know it's and LED, and its very possible that it is integrated into the overhead console.

  • @qualitylandscapeandhauling7710

    Hi. Do they help you see further or just wider ? I currently have L.e.d. bulbs in my fog lights . I feel like my lights currently are just blinding oncoming traffic and in thick fog....they dont help. The light bounces back to me.

    • @fondupot
      @fondupot  Před 6 lety +1

      I think they help further and wider. The reason you are having poor results with the drop in LED's is because the focal point is different in the reflector compared to the OEM halogen. These XB LED's are designed specifically for LED's so they will perform much better.

    Did you aim the fog lights after the installation? Thanks for the video. Sure to come in handy for anyone considering this mod.

    • @fondupot
      @fondupot  Před 8 lety

      I haven't yet. But I made to sure to get the adjustment screws to the same amount as the OEM fogs. I was going to mess with the aim eventually. It was so hot today when I did this, so I lost steam.

    I'm wondering if it's that easy on a Silverado or if you have to remove the bumper.

    • @fondupot
      @fondupot  Před 7 lety +1

      Not sure to be honest. I think the Silverado versions of these are just as easy to do.

  • @amolson8594
    @amolson8594 Před 7 lety

    A bit of a trick to getting the old light out, instead of yanking the the lights ball joint out of the plastic retainers, just remove them from the back side and the light will come right out. Use 2 small sockets and put them over the retainers on the back side (two of them are seen at 2:35 of the video). The sockets will compress the tabs on the retainers so they just slide right out still attached to the light. Use 2 sockets as its easier to do two of them at once. Do the top two first then move onto the bottom one. That way you're not yanking on things and potentially breaking the retaining clips.
    Have you aimed yours yet? I have yet to do that, I tried to count the same number of turns the original adjuster was turned to but they are pointed too low. I'll have to find a flat paring lot and a wall one night and get them adjusted before it gets cold out.

    • @fondupot
      @fondupot  Před 7 lety

      Yea, I actually figured that method out when I went to install the new ones. I actually don't have this truck anymore, but I did not need to aim them. I was satisfied on the first try with their aim.

    I installed the Rigid Fog lights in mine, I wonder what your beam pattern is like compared to Rigid Industries.

    • @fondupot
      @fondupot  Před 8 lety

      I have had rigid lights in the past. These morimotos are good, but the Rigids are probably a little more heavy duty and better suited for off road.

    I have a 2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali, with 6.6L Turbo Diesel, and there are no bezels around the fog light assemblies. Additionally, the entire fog light assembly is completely different looking than what he has.

    • @fondupot
      @fondupot  Před 7 lety

      The 2014 2500/3500 was still the old body style. Those trucks didn't get the new body style until 2015. You're truck is entirely different.
