  • For my next build I'm going back to a ROKR marble run, they have always been good for me, the instructions are usually pretty clear and well illustrated, and I like building these puzzle/model type contraptions. This one has a possible link system with the previously built Marble Night City, so I have ordered that and hopefully it will be here in time to ease right into that as the next build.

“You’re never gonna get it right so make it as wrong as you can” words to live by … I had to stop by and see the final outcome of this build

That only applies to posters and stickers...unless I need it somewhere else. 😂

You probably should magnetize those screwdrivers, Daniel. This thing looks pretty cool. Can't wait to see them both working together.

I can't seem to win with the magnetized stuff, it seems like they only pick up the stuff I don't want when I use them. I think I'm jinxed like that when it comes to screws. 😂

That turned out good .Like you mentioned, the moter isn't very powerful more so when you come to join them together ,liking the new project

There isn't a whole lot of info on the link kit, I as much as the motor struggled with the one run I'm sure it can't power both of them, so I'm sort of hoping there is another motor, otherwise I guess I'm just going to be powering them both by hand.

    Hi Daniel,
    I just finished up Spaceport.
I think I know your problem with performance of the ‘weak’ motor. The pry is the use of the Impresa wood lube. The lube is too viscous or ‘sticky’.
I have used both. Wax is much better and gears don’t stick.
I bought a wax melting pot and pound of paraffin wax.
I brushed all moving parts with wax and my model runs smooth with the supplied motor.
    I hope this helps.
    Alan

Okay, that makes sense, I'm surprised though because it feels silky smooth when I turn the crank by hand, but I'll try to figure out a way to give it a clean and try the waxing once the link kit gets here.

Yes, it”s smooth but the resistance is higher.
