- When planning to have a baby, women are expected to give up everything from smoking to alcohol, even soft cheese. But the other half of fertility comes from the sperm, usually provided by a man. So should men also give up their vices to improve the quality of their sperm, and their chances of conception?
In this clip from the BBC’s CrowdScience programme ‘Will giving up alcohol affect my sperm count?’, Professor of Andrology Allan Pacey reveals some key factors.

Not at all. I'm drinking Schnapps and other heavy alcohols since I turned 16. Ofc started with beer and wine.
Also consuming coffee, yet Im a proud dad of 6 children, two of them are engineers, one of them is a doctor. My wife also likes to drink heavy liquor, yet we do have 6 children.

It doesnt matter what you take in to your body, as long as it is not an endocrine disruptor, the researchers are kinda swaying away from real substances that can affect fertility such as exposure to plastics let us say men working in a plastic manufacturing factories where exposure to "forever chemicals" is high, or men who are working out and taking steroids or performance-enhancing drugs. Take into consideration also people who are treating stress and depression thru testosterone medication. Does external source of testosterone affects fertility?

In my culture we wear shalwaar ( in west and South Asia )or silwaar (Middle East) with which we don't have to wear underwear. I think That's why we have more babies 🤔.
