  • Oswalds Mill Audio. A strange name for an unlikely story.
OMA gets its name from a more than 200 year old mill in Eastern Pennsylvania, restored by OMA founder Jonathan Weiss. In that mill Jonathan assembled an impressive collection of vintage cinema and studio audio equipment, especially horn loaded loudspeakers, dating back to the 1930's. Within the walls of this massive mill, Jonathan’s audio obsessions attracted like minded people who congregated there every year for an event which became world famous. This underground community of speaker and horn designers and builders, tube audio and vinyl and tonearm experts became the foundation for launching a whole new approach to high end audio: OMA, Oswalds Mill Audio.

Interesting story regarding the mill restoration, and well done on developing a thriving business producing high end HiFi equipment. However, being “broke” means you choosing between eating or heating, not whether you can afford to buy a building to restore

I came to find you during "the dark times", aka a few years ago at that point, the website was primarily focused on the NYC location, byt the product photos in the mill are.just pure art. I can see that your journey, thus far, has been one where the individual energies, yours, that of your pasions, and the energy of the land and mill area are one in the same. The ancient art of correctly milling the grain, the semirevival by the artists, and your artistic side in the aspects you've shared, plus the bucolic and serene area of the mill have just coalesced into what you are and have now. It is a beautifl setting rife with inspiration for the artist within.
I wait with anticipation to see the transformation of the rest of the property. Thank you for sharing this part of OMA.

I have been waiting for this for such a long time and am looking forward to more episodes.
The location is perfect as well for a wellness center. The ancient feeling of the building with so much diverse history seeped in the very fabric of it, a place of production, work and results makes for a perfect energy for a wellness center.
Then the nature around, water, beautiful trees giving wonderful pure oxygen along with yours and Cynthia´s energy can´t help but make this a magical place to stop the bus and get off for a while to recharge and focus on what life is truly about. Magical, absolutely magical!

What a great building. I'm angry at those artists from the fifties, tearing down the front and removed all those pre-industrial machines. What a waste and they nearly destroyed the building.

Jonathan,…the Mill fell to you because ist was meant for you. It is as unusual as your Audio Products. A „normal“ boring Industrial Building would not suit you at all. The Mill is another expression of your Creative Personality.
