did you know that the case he was executed for .. was the Dujail case : in the time of war with Iran some people in Dujail village tried to kill him .. they were member of a party that had assossiation with Iran .. he ordered an investigation ,there were arrests , trials and executions .. and some of their lands were confiscated but were given a good compensation for it .. even after few years they appealed to him to return those lands and he did give them back their lands .
the problem with this case that everything he did was legal .. so they tried to say that those people who were excuted were innocents .. some witnesses came forwared (from the families of those people) claiming their relatives were innocent .. now did you know that some of those witnesses that swore in court to tell the truth and they claimed innocence for their brothers ,now appeared in a tv channel proudly saying that their brothers were from the assassination unit that targeted Saddam .. they lied in court
