Happy gaming! Glen and Mark
Bit disappointed Pecaminosa doesn't feature Del Boy and Rodney
Hahaha
I'll keep mentioning Little Goody Two Shoes until you review it, for the selfish reason that I want the first game to be ported to the Switch and only enough interest will do that... plus it is an amazing game that got lost in last year's lineup 😂
Lads, please check the audio on your videos. There was a point in this one where it sounded like someone was using a typewriter

We took manuals for granted
I remember spending hours at night when I was supposed to be sleeping, just flipping through those pages, gleaming every jewel I could
In Vampire Survivors the end of the main game is really beating the final boss, hence you see the fireworks that go off when you do so, then you can collect all characters and items etc. Going through the 30min rounds is how you gain items that you require to unlock access to the boss room. Once you unlock certain weapons and evolve them you can kill the reaper who appears at the 30 min point pretty consistently. You also unlock things like endless mode and a mode to allow you to infinitely upgrade your weapon and ways to make the game harder.
Nice, cheers mate! Glen
on my third run I got very lucky with the upgrades and I was freezing the reaper constantly. sadly, a second reaper appeared and after 3 minutes he dodged a freeze and killed me. can't wait to actually kill one
On top of the above I would say once you unlock Queen Sigma then you can feel the base game is ‘done’ but it’s so good and the dlc gives you some crazy OP characters!
I think Princess Peach Showtime is more for my young daughter. We tried playing other games like Mario Odyssey and she got very frustrated and wanted to do everything herself. It was just too hard for her.
She then played Kirby Wii U deluxe, loved it and completed everything - though I had to help her with Magalore bonus content at the end. She then went on to play Star Alies and now Forbidden Island and it was clear that those games were fun and just at her level with a bit of challenge if she wanted it. I think the Yoshi game is another that is aimed at younger gamers who are just starting out.
So, when I heard that Showtime being criticized for being easier I knew she would love it. I’ve bought it already and stored it away for either her birthday or a Christmas present. I think many people don’t realise that these games are not aimed primarily at middle aged guys but are nice for kids and parents to play together.
Yes I don’t think many reviewers take this into consideration, have you tried your daughter with poi : explorer edition? Good game for kids just finished it and I even had fun with it tbh worth a look 👍
Yeah, bring back manuals, it was a big part of the game-buying ritual, reading it on the bus home! Super Metroid came boxed with an A4 magazine guide (that I only used about 3000 times!)
Yeah, I had that. Still do as it goes. Glen
As much as I would like that, game developers/publishers won't go back to this tradition after digital downloads took off.
The amount of control Vampire Survirors has had on our household was quite frightening. One of the best bang for buck choices out there!
100% agree!
Princess Peach Showtime is really growing on me! No, it's not the hardest game ever, but Nintendo have done really well in giving us an interesting and fun platformer with a variety of different game styles and - for the first time since Donkey Kong - an engaging and entertaining main character.
Thanks to you guys I have been playing a lot of Unicorn Overlord and both Star oceans R remakes (I know you talked mostly about the 2nd one, but I couldn’t skip the first.)
Also there is a big update for that game (Star Ocean the Second Story R ) that came up today. New things to do after beating the game and lots of tweaks, new difficulty settings, character art added. All very worth checking out.
Pecaminosa is a hidden gem I had my eye on for some time before taking the plunge, and it's been well worth it.
It's super hard to justify a purchase of Unturned on Switch - not least with its connection issues - given that the whole game is free on PC. Just something to be wary of if the option presents itself to viewers!
They bleed pixels is really interesting, I didn't know there were physicals. I need that Raji and more!
Special editions are to die for, especially when they come with some spectacular items, such a shame they're so expensive! Years ago it would be an extra 10 or 20 quid, now it can be a 100 or more on top!! Such a shame for collectors that don't have that elusive money tree!
Manuals used to be the first thing you'd get out and ingest, making the play all the more exciting! 😂❤❤
My favourite SwitchUp videos have always been when either Mark or Glen makes the other laugh. Always brightens my day.
I have completed everything in Vampire Survivors aside from the newest space patch and the story mode (This includes all DLC). There definitely is an end to Vampire Survivors. Beating the game and rolling credits requires you to beat the final boss "the Director" in the level Eudaimonia Machine. Unlocking this will require finding all the relics in the game. If you can't find it on your own, you may want to look into how to find the Yellow Sign, because that item is key to unlocking most of the end game.
I was reading about the yellow sign yesterday although I read so many different things I forget what was what now. Is that the one that allows you to take less damage so you can survive the reaper? Glen
@@SwitchUpYtThe Yellow sign is pretty much a relic that allows you to see things in levels that you couldn't previously. It unlocks on all normal stages items that will allow you to evolve the laurel and and the clock lancet and with those evolutions you become almost unkillable and output insane damage making reaper kills easy. But it also unlocks more than just that, which I don't want to spoil. The end game is very rewarding.
I have been playing A LOT of Warriors Orochi 4 ultimate lately. It feels really good to play warriors games again. 😋
I'm so excited for pay day tmrw. I've seen the big eshop sale and deffo getting DYSMANTLE at least 😅😅
Hey lads, Pecaminosa is NOT in the isometric view, but in 'bird's eye'.
Just sayin'. 😉
Anyroad, keep up the good work!
I was thinking that whilst making the video and looking at the footage, haha. Glen
Those physical editions look absolutely amazing! I spent so much time reading game manuals as a kid. I miss them.
Great video, love this series 😊
I’m playing My time at Sandrock right now, a big update was released yesterday and performance actually got better 💪🏼
Is it worth it because for me my time at Portia is laggy for me and I wanna get sandrock but I'm debating between the ps5 or switch version I know ps5 will look and play best for my situation but I like playing games portable on my switch lite 😊
@@lazorlightgames5797 it’s way better but still far from perfect. They explain very well what changed with the update on the my time at sandrock subreddit, it’s also stated what are the problem still going on, you should take a look! I’m enjoying it no matter what 😊
@@lazorlightgames5797 it’s definitely better but still far from perfect, there are still bugs reported. If you are interested you can have a clear view of what works and what are the current problems on the My time at Portia subreddit! Nothing major though, I’m enjoying it anyway 😊
Might have to check out that Pecaminosa game. I love that Neo Noir type theme. Thanks for spotting that one!
Pecaminosa looks interesting, there seems to be 2 versions of the same game for different prices on the eshop.. Can you confirm, please?
It looks like there are two Pecanimosa games and both with the same blurb so are they different or are they the same game?
Every time we have a gaming night we’re trying to work out how to beat the Reaper 🤣
Vampire Survivors has crazy replay value for the price
Rise of Ronin made me start playing Ghost of Tsushima.
Has a lot of quirks I don't expect in an open world game. But I really like it.
Been on power of ten. Think risk of rain graphics meet asteroids, but fun
My RPG review book came from hyperplay today guys cheers for shouting that out! I started Crossing Souls today on the 3rd chapter now and I’m gripped
I just got Star Wars Pinball, after watching Glens very old review! Just 4 quid, and reminds me of the old Windows 95 days 😊
Oh yeah, I remember that. Great game! Glen
I like turning the screen sideways to portrait mode for a full table view with minimal scaling.
Love Brotato, amazing game, pocket factory for the win
I'm also hooked on the evolutions in Vampire Survivors. Last run I managed to combine the wings 🤩
Yall had a lot of fun making this one 😂 Great listening to you guys as always!
Deltarune ep 1 & 2 definetily belongs on one of these interesting games lists. At first it looks like a regular retro game, but it has alot of unique ideas. And it is amazing. Toby Fox is a genius. And the soundtracks is something else, i listen to both of them on Spotify quite frequently.
Brotato Physcial copy coming 2024, yes please.
If Vampire Survivors does the same, I'm investing too. Hopefully the recent game trial save data carries over because I have amassed some fair progress.
Thanks for the quality content and congrats again for 350k subscribers. Cheers Gents! 🎉
Congrats on hitting 350k! Loving the box art for those special editions 😍🥳
Ah I miss a game manual. I used to read it cover to cover until I could get home and actually play the game. The controls etc being in the option menu is not the same.
Instruction manuals became redundant when digital downloads started to take off in the 2000s unfortunately.
@@sparkypackthey are not redundant, when we collect retro games (most of which have booklets) which are still great games btw and worth playing, the booklets add to the experience and often offer useful and crucial info as well as cool art work and more. Just because tech made it more cheaper option, they are still awesome and most people prefer a physical manual than reading it from a screen…
Those premium edition boxes look lovely, a right treat..... Although I think if i played love 3, i would tear what hair I have left out.
The speed that y'all try out games would make my backlog cry if it saw it.
Michael Wilmslow was the Police Academy sound effects guy
Pecaminosa is "sinner". A person can be 'pecaminosa" (going to/invite someone to sin)
Those physical games look delightful.
Pecaminosa sounds like a gem! Thank you!
I love brotato it kinda killed vs for me. Brotatos short rounds are so addictive and less tiring. There is another game on switch called bio prototype which is very similar to brotato. It's very deep and not quite as good imo but still good.
I watched some videos on Bio Prototype and picked it up tonight after you mentioned it here. Very complex upgrade system. I will probably end up liking it more than VS but not Brotato. I have to take a little break from Brotato though because there are about 8 characters left I have to beat level 5 with and while still great fun it's getting a little aggravating.
@@kcant65 my personal tip is just dont think too deep about the upgrades at first, figure out how they work and go together as you play, and start digging deeper into it as you go along. That's what I did because I found it pretty overwhelming at first. But just keep in mind the its basically [item that activates weapon to the right] -> [weapon to the right] so as you go right you gotta pay attention that items to the left will activate it regularly or else it will be useless. there's also minions you can summon and stuff like that i haven't really figured out yet. I'm already hoping they do a sequel and refine the game because it has a ton of potential.
You've sent me on a tangent here, but talking of getting photos developed... well I got married there last week and for a bit of fun we had disposable cameras around the restaurant. Guys, how much I've missed the anticipation of waiting for the results to come back! Gone are the days, eh!
Yeah, it seems like a life time ago. Everything is so 'instant' these days! Congrats on getting married mate! Glen
My definition of finishing Vampire Survivors and Brotato is all unlocks, which is essentially also all in game challenges. (I did both on Gamepass and the Xbox Achievements are matched directly to the unlocks).
Vampire Survivor is Great and Addictive.
Exactly right count in this video, Glen 2, Mark 1.
I loved the look of the game but I couldn't get past the part where you have to attack the three dummies in the tutorial part. I did it exactly like the trainer shadow and it wouldn't let me advance. I'm bad at games and I accept that, but this was ridiculous.
I really want to try avian attorney but im deep in reviving phoenix wright rn
Peach's showtime has surprised me much more than I thought it would
Love 3 reminds me of Spacestation Pheta on Macintosh
Those are some interesting games with some interesting commentary. Thanks.
I started a Survival mode Kitty Mage in Skyrim, so I'll be distracted for a couple hundred hours...
Finished mario wonder and started playing gta san andreas on the switch, mostly for the nostalgia.
Still working on Ryza 2 on the ps5 also
Game content aside, the best thing about this series is just the conversations between 2 mates (complete with friendly ribbing and random tangents). You can't help but watch/listen with a big grin on ya boat
Been playing Sheltered (which SwitchUp reviewed many moons ago).
Brotato is a god tier game, especially considering the price. Got onl 2 characters left till i got danger 5 on everyone, but these last two are sooo hard
Where is the Unicorn Overlord collector's edition you got?
Saw the thumbnail and thought this was going to be a rundown of your favourite songs by the Police…not really into sting myself 😉
Vampire survivors is beaten when you unlocked everything. Got all achievements
It's about time I heard a positive word about pecaminosa. It's a game I've always been curious about.
The cockney slang is overloading. Love it.
Is there fast pace fighting in pecaminosa? I love top down rpg.i ll have to find a review about it.
I've been playing X-Men legends be nice if they brought those to the switch those games were pretty cool . Imma try that vampire survivor that looks so chaotic 😅
Stopped playing Vampire Survivors, taking a break for now. But I played Brotato on Xbox Game Pass when it dropped, and now I'm playing almost regularly like I did Vampire Survivors. How about you guys do a special physical collection showcase of the special edition you've acquired over the Switch is Life.
Oh yes Brotato ❤️ I`m so hooked
What have I been playing? The other night I had a mate of mine over and we just played fighting games the whole night. Tekken 7, guilty gear revelator 2, kof xiv, kill la kill if, granblue fantasy versus, skull girls. It was fun as! And current single player game is my new lord and saviour: unicorn overlord
If Princess Peach Showtime has performance problems, I wonder how the recently announced and soon to be released Asphalt Legends United will go.
Tangents:
1: A physical copy has been announced for The Stanley Parable and I have heard plenty but never played, would it be a good time to jump in?
2: Outward releases today, hope to see a technical review
Premium edition Games are awesome. If you like Vampire Survivors and Brotato, they just announced a similar game which is equally awesome: Scarlet Tower 😉
Brotato looks like fun!!
I bought Killer Frequency because of this channel. Good stuff, guys.
Peach Showtime was cute but a bit short/easy. Could easily see more time put into a sequel that expands this series.
Vampire Survivors is so addicting! I say I'm going to stop and then it ends up being two hours later! Lol. I want to get Princess Peach Showtime, but first party titles are so expensive, so I'm waiting.
Larvell Jones played by Michael Leslie Winslow is the character from Police Academy if anyone cares
Old school physical packaging.
At first glance, I thought you were reviewing a game named “Inter Sting” and was kind of…interested lol
The cockney slang might be half of the reason why I watch, or more
Vampire survivors is digital crack. Peach game is a hard pass for me, wish they had some more first parties this year.
Yeah, it's crazy addictive! Glen
They’re clearly saving them for the next Console. Go figure. There’s more than enough amazing games, on switch right now to keep us entertained until the next one. I don’t get people complaint there’s not enough ‘first party’ games because there’s so many good games to be played right now.
@@Wil_Dsense I’m aware of that and I agree, I have a ton of games already but don’t forget they announced Metroid Prime 4 back in 2017.
Still prefer old school Robotron over these survivor games but they're great bang for your buck.
Brotato is the real deal! The game Space Gladiators also made by Blobfish and available in a bundle on Switch with Brotato is great as well!
Yes its surprisingly good and a major hidden gem. It takes more time to get into than brotato but once you start to figure it out it has similarly addictive gameplay.
The online in Unturned has been broken since launch on almost all platforms. I would love to say I believe the developers have fixed this issue, but I don't believe they have or ever will unfortunately.
Yep totally broken I have been working with them all week to get it back online. I'll keep you updated
@@SwitchUpYt Please do, I've wanted to get a game going with some friends for some time now.
I've been playing Balatro. It's so good and addictive. A MUST buy for poker lovers
Wait UNTURNED is on switch?! I love that game! Used to play it on pc back in the day. Definitely adding that to my wishlist
So how did you find unturned was it pleasing to the eye and have you tried riding a bike yet 🤣🤣 I highly recommend that👍🏻
No games for me this week. Took the plunge on a set of NYXI Hyperion Wireless Joy-Pad.
(No games maybe)
I have been hooked on armored core 6 the last few days, can’t put it down. Feel like I’m cheating on my switch
Hook me up when littlewood is on sale
Balatro! Its literally crack
The giga cartridge!!!
Did u manage to play unturned ? I saw u say on twitter that the servers didn't work .....😳at all?
Unturned wasnt even good on ps4 but it looks worse on switch. That shadow flickering is atrocious. A shadow drop and directly 40% sale speaks for itself.
Michael Winslow
I did not look this up so forgive me if I’m wrong
Oh look! A comment for the algorithm!
First (First time I ever said first on a video)😂
unturned shouldn't be 20 euro when it's a free game on pc
And it's broken
@@SwitchUpYt It's crazy how it's considered a low end pc game too...
They could easily make this run 60 FPS I'm sure
Intersting!
Guys… pls go play undertale 🗣️
unturned is free on steam why would anyone wanna buy it on switch what the heck
Let me just buy a PC real quick to play one free game
Play undertale you uncultured swines! (Meant with all love!~)
I do enjoy bake off myself lads, and that "is it cake" thats on a whole other level!!!
Them cakes are amazing and im not shy 2 admit im wrong more times then im right with that show lol 😂
You could be really awsome dudes and send a fellow game collecter that special addition raji or death by pixals???
They are just so expencive to buy lol 😂
