rotary engines love to be revved like this, they are not piston engines remember. people who drive rotarys slowly are the ones who run into engine problems due to carbon buildup.
+Lubomyr714 No, Rotary Engine's dies if you revlimit them too much since the engine needs fuel+oil mixture all the time to lube the rotor. If you revlimit the engine, the engine will stop adding fuel to cut the revs which means that you will have to change the Apex Seals.
tehice23 Yes, on piston cars. But on Rotaries, there is always oil and fuel mixture added into the engine even if you release the gaspedal, that's why Rotaries drink alot of fuel and oil.
+kasse the reason why is because the eomp is load based which means if you're at 9000 rpm in neutral it will put in very little oil, but if you're at 9000rpm in 2nd gear it will put the correct amount of oil based on the conditions

Taking out the catalyic converter will make a stock rx8 shoot flames. Getting just about any aftermarket exhaust as well will make the flames bigger. Just rev it up high a few times, then let it drop to like 3k rpm and then rev it all the way again and let go and it should pop. Car should be warm already as well
Other normal piston engine: please treat me careful don't rev me too much time

and make sure your cooling mods are up to snuff.. stock cooling is NOT adequate for this kind of fun!!
