As a Malawian i can agree. in 2024 still we have some places without preschools. Kids as old as 8 to 10yrs haven't started school yet. A lot of kids walk around without a pair of shoes. Poverty is at another level here but my God, even the ones so hungry will still smile at a stranger, tuere is so much compassion, kindness for one another. It is still a WARM HEART OF AFRICA.

This country looks really interesting. I know it's poor and has not much infrastructure, but all the kids seem very happy, I like the colourful clothing, looks like great weather, a beautiful lake, everyone dances all the time, and even in that very poor village people try and make the place look nice, cleaning etc.

My view is that, this video is not very far from reality in malawi. There may be some minor mistranslations, but the facts remain the same. Infact this repesents the childhood experience of the majority in malawi, including mine. Actually, there some areas where there are no pre-school education. I never stepped in nursery school myself. I know we are happy people, but we can do better. And the government can do better too.

Wow this video has shown what is really on the ground. It gives one an insight into what it is really like to live in the villages in Malawi. I am not saying that living in huts means that one is poor,it is merely a lifestyle. What is upsetting is that these innocent little angels have barely what is classed as basic needs.Imagine what sort of adults they are going to be? I am looking at Abraham Maslow`s hierarchy of needs: If one does not meet basic needs such as food, water, sleep etc one may spend the whole time (life) trying to satisfy these needs..leading to a miserable life! One may never reach self actualisation(where one is content with one`s life) in the future. Children need toys, loving families in order to have healthy, imaginative and productive minds..among other things..and half the requirements for this does not even need western donors! The villagers in Ntchisi must be commended for the initiative of moulding their own bricks and sand in preparation for building of the new creche :-) However there is more which needs to be done such as: Where are all the creative guys and girls who build their own toys? You could make toys as arts and crafts projects and donate them to these little angels. Oh, and before you criticise my comment, don`t because i know what i am talking about. I have been there and i know what it`s like :-(

    • @Adam-en7qm
      @Adam-en7qm Před 2 lety

Good Question? Well, indigenous people in the capital of Malawi in Lilongwe are the poorest than those who used to be far from the city. WHY? Because of pride, they don't want to learn from other Indigenous citizens, if you go to Malawi next time check these far from the city villages, how they live in Malawi. Check out Nkhotakota north, Nkhatabay, Mzimba, and Rumphi districts they're living better not even nearest to poor but well managed living.

Thats why they have to prioritize and Food security, Health and education are at the top-thats what you have to do if you are not a rich country. On top of that Malawi is trying to find ways of becoming less and less dependent on foreign aid.Thats why community based development organizations are more helpful because they realise the importance of empowering the people to help themselves within the means of their own culture and social not just giving them the western way of solving the problem

So many Malawians work outside the Country . They are known to be honest and hard working . When company like David Whitehead closed 3,000 people lost their jobs . It was stated that for everyone employed they supported on average 10 members of their extended families . Lonrho was one of the major employers with DWS , Sugar Mills , Tea Estates and Factories , Net Making Plant . The loss of DWS was painful it was a textile mill with the most up to date plant from taking raw cotton to finished prints of high quality . All sold off for very little . Many people who lived there have wonderful memories of life and friendships still hold firm today . Hurts to see that life not improved for so many .

via community based organizations that really study what problems the people face, and that reduces the amount of money least developmed nations owe if they were to rely soley on borrowing money from else where and it also avoids child like dependency by relying soley on grants.Thats not to say foreign aid grants arent helpful they are but Malawi has realised that its a good idea to balance things out and empower the people to take responsibiliy over the problems the country faces.

Poverty and its causes are so entertwined and complex. One of them is corruption in govts (yes, but not the only cause)-Malawi has made tremendous improvements in getting rid of corrupt leaders in the past 10 years,Education, health fuel the cycle of poverty and thats what the govt is trying to solve by mostly empowering the people to help themselves

Please be fair when making such statements because u make it seem as if the government just sits there and does nothing.Have u considered what the govt has been doing to development the country?Have u considered why there isnt strong infrastructure eg roads? Is it really that the govt has to decided to just not build the roads?have u considered the priorities the govt has to make because it has a modest budget?Have u considered the success that Malawi has seen as the govt improved?the probs faced

if it is the most pathetic country in the world and that hopeless then why are u there? since its so hopeless wouldnt you be wasting your time there?if u are there to help out i commend u but ur demeaning comment is not reflecting or aligning with the reason u are there.MLW needs support&positive energy and people who will send a positive message to the world not negative coverage that just fuels the problem, completely eliminates the country's potential in tourism.every country has its problems

since 1994 which marked the end of autocratic rule. You have no idea how difficult it is to lead a least developed nation, development occurs over time. You can't just wave a wand and everything becomes diamonds and castles. Malawi fusing back into Mozambique and Zambia would not do anything but more harm because those countries are facing the same problems. Please be considering before you make unfair attacks.Least developed government have modest budgets-they cannot take up everything

I understand that you have been there to visit but that doesn't mean that you have valid information. To say that the government in Malawi is doing absolutely nothing is beyond ridiculous and it is invalid information you are giving out to the world. The U.S has ties with Malawi and if the U.S thought Malawi had a pathetic corrupt government they would have pulled out long ago with aid to Malawi. Have you compared Malawi to other countries in Africa.Malawi has undergone so much improvements

DONORS MAY HELP FINANCIALLY BUT USUALLY WHAT HAPPENS IS THAT THE MONEY GOES IN THE POCKETS OF THE SUPERVISORS WHO ARE SUPPOSED TO USE IT ACCORDINGLY. IT'S SO PATHETIC HOW THEY STEAL MOST OF THE DONATED RESOURCES. I KNOW THIS COS I HAVE SEEN IT WITH MY OWN EYES. I COME FROM MALAWI. THE DONORS NEED TO APPOINT SOMEONE HONEST TO ENSURE THE POOR KIDS BENEFITS FROM THE PROCEEDINGS

Please do a documentary on the rich parts of Malawi, I'm tired of the West always portraying us as extremely poor and extremely underdeveloped. I went to a good school with a good educational system, grew up in a nice area and a nice house. Document that.
Honesty, all this "many children in Malawi" nonsense, I AM MALAWIAN, I grew up there, all this stuff they're talking about I never experienced it. I know that the villages mainly experience it but we're not all poor 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

How about we stop sticking to racism and pointing fingers to people as a whole and realize that because someones great great great ancestor did something hundreds of years ago doesn't mean their offsprings offspring did. It's immoral and wrong. The Aztecs executed 80,000 people a day in 1510, should we hold that against the Mexican people? The Zulus pillaged hundreds of tribes killing thousands of tribesman, should their great great great grandchildren be punished for it? It's ridiculous. Let's unite as a human race and not a divided race. A stick alone snaps, a stick in a bundle does not. Remember that we are the universe and we are one people, one consciousness, and one spirit. God Bless brother.

Blantyre is very trashy but is a nice place and probably the best place to live anywhere in malawi. it has grown a lot in the last 10 years. there are also many countries and places around the world without access to internet, pretty much any 3rd world country.

That is the poorest region than the rest of Malawi that you see near the capital. (The southern and central region)according to village's better living. If you could ask them, they never traveled other regions of the country because of pride and ignorance. but all the NGOs used to stuck there but no bearing any fruits, Why? Stubborn and pride. But they got well upcoming develop cities like BLANTYRE and LILONGWE, but forget standard of living in rural areas, while Northern and central North are best in living better lives in the rural and remote areas of the country. Most NGOs never been there, because no need to. Keep in mind that when someone record a video of poorest in Malawi 🇲🇼 I know is talking about SOUTHERN and CENTRAL regions. Even Disasters too, because of deforestation.never heard Disasters in NORTHERN AND CENTRAL NORTH myself. But political leaders neglect the Northern city. Next time if someone shows you the villages of Northern Malawi, you will not believe it, they're ambitious villagers, trust me.

    RAM NARAYAN RAM
Chant this Mahamantra irrespective of your religion-nationality-caste and colour. This mantra is not originated from a particular religion(so-called). It is a concentrated form of the universal tune. Neither this RAM represents the Ram of the Ramayana, nor this NARAYAN represents the Narayanan of Satya Yuga. This RAM is the echo of the endless void and this NARAYAN is the echo of the visible world.
The human race has advanced a lot in terms of agriculture, science, technology, medicine, astronomy etc. But when it comes to humanity, then we see that the trend line has almost touched the bottom limit.
Our true self has been covered with our bad deeds and ill thoughts. Because we have gone far from the tune of our conscience and nature. We are drowned in the dark ocean of ignorance. We have to lit the fire of knowledge up. For that we have to generate heat. Sound energy can be transferred to heat energy.
By repetitive chanting of the Mantra heat is generated. That will wipe out that darkness of ignorance from within. We are nurturing our body with food but we are not nurturing our consciousness. To nurture our consciousness we have to feed it with Dhwani(sound). That is RAM NARAYAN RAM. At the time of chanting you have to put Omkar - RAM(O) NARAYAN(O) RAM.
What ever you do, where ever you are, what ever your belief may be, which ever deity you worship, that doesn't matter. Just go chanting this MAHANAM (great name). That will help your conscience to abloom and guide you perspicuously. When you will follow the directives of your conscience, then you will commit no sinful act. If each and everyone becomes conscientious then there will be no need of any spiritual leader or preceptor to preach what to do and what not. Then the tune of the whole human race will be at par with that of nature. Then the world will become the heaven itself.
    🌼🌹🌷🔱RAM NARAYAN RAM🔱🌷🌹🌼
