Wicks Correction & Reattachment

Reattaching wicks for my Florida client! First I had to correct the wicks by removing the thread and rubberbands. Then I was able to combine them properly.

Im in the midwest. Ive been practicing wicks on a afro Mannequin. Can never stop learning and perfecting my craft. Not alot of people here get them but if asked i want to confidently say yes and know its done and looks right. These videos you all post on youtube help alot. Keep them coming and great job! I will start offering wicks in my area starting in August.

Asking for educational purposes of course, why didn’t you bring the wick closer to the scalp? It doesn’t necessarily make a difference? Great video by the way!!❤️

Is it common for wicks to get soft and how to repair?

I’ve seen it happen but I’m not sure how to prevent it. For repairs it depends on how bad it is, sometimes l will cut it and reattach, other times l will add hair if I think a reattachment won’t hold. If it’s mostly happening at the ends where there’s a lot of lint build up, I usually suggest a trim.
