  • This week the legendary rock 'n' roll singer / songwriter Eddie Money performed in concert at the Stanislaus County Fair in Turlock, California. He brought his children along too to perform with him during the concert!
We filmed several of his hit classics including this one, 'Take Me Home Tonight' .
Here is some more information about Take Me Home Tonight from Wiki:
"Take Me Home Tonight" is a song by American rock singer Eddie Money. It was released in August 1986 as the lead single from his album Can't Hold Back. The song reached number four on the Billboard Hot 100 and number one on the Album Rock Tracks chart. It received a Grammy nomination for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance.
The song starts with a synth playing and is then joined by a guitar playing the same notes. This song was recorded in a duet with Ronnie Spector. The song has Spector singing the chorus from the Ronettes' hit, "Be My Baby" (on which Spector sang lead vocals) after Money sings "just like Ronnie sang."
Eddie Money (born Edward Joseph Mahoney; March 21, 1949) is an American rock guitarist, saxophonist and singer-songwriter, who found success in the 1970s and 1980s with a string of Top 40 hits and platinum albums. Rock impresario Bill Graham said of Money, "Eddie Money has it all.... Not only can he sing, write, and play, but he is a natural performer."

Eddie in his prime was VERY tight, sounded SO much better than here with his family band. He was INCREDIBLE in his prime. This sounds like a HS band. Sorry Eddie, still love and miss you. I STILL would have paid to see this cause I love Eddie so much, even if it didn't sound his best 😊

Eddie Money was the working man's rocker. Through all the bands with makeup, fishnets, spandex, wild hair and ridiculous outfits, Eddie Money bought "Blue collar" rock and roll with no fancy gimmicks.

Jessie, Eddie's daughter, has such a beautiful voice, blended with Eddie's all of the time! You can rest now Eddie knowing you left wonderful gifts for all of us when you had to go, 4 sons and your beautiful daughter. All of them talented and good people, definitely the kind of people we need on this planet! Thanks, Eddie $

Eddie was a powerhouse. I saw him in Tampa back for the Can't Hold Back album and it was a fucking rockin' show. Eddie DID NOT disappoint. It was worth losing my job over. 7/11 is just a job, but that show is a constant memory. Good times. Thank you, Eddie, for the generation of music you helped bring us into our older age. You are sorely missed. We love ya.

I saw Eddie Money in Lakeland, Florida Dec. 1986! He came out on stage singing "Take Me Home Tonight" and yes Ronnie was there! I had front row the massive crowd was pushing so hard to get up close I was practically up on stage with Eddie! He let me sign his tennis shoe while his sweat was dripping down on me! Cindi Lauper followed.

Great artist with a lot of amazing songs that a generation of teens grew up listening to. Rest In Peace.
