Would been nice to see the rokoko gloves in the mix too as they are on the cheaper spectrum.

Thanks so much for this, you have made me feel much better about throwing down so much cash for the metagloves. Seeing the other gloves failures makes me feel like I have made the right choice. Thanks!

Great video! I was hoping to pick up some gloves, but I think I might stick with the index controllers for a while. Anyways, thanks for doing this!

Thanks for the video! Seems like you forgot to include the Rokoko Smartgloves in your comparison, they are way cheaper and just as good in capture quality, I highly recommend them :)

legit cool, I really have been looking into this, I am currently using the ultrea leap 3di.

Cool comparison. I want to try this test with Vicon 10 finger tracking when my system is back up!

On performance alone, the Manus Quantum hands-down. I'm very pleased with how well the Knuckles did for the price though. With them being kinda off in their own space and price, if I were choosing based on price, performance and convenience it'd have to be the Supersplay. Very neat comparison :3
As a side note, you can calibrate the Knuckles by just starting with a light grip, then strumming your fingers along the grip until it calibrates. If it's a bit out then you just nudge their position in your hand slightly. You also don't have to give up facial mocap with them :3 there are a few SteamVR headsets compatible with the Vive Face Tracker and I believe there are still aftermarket eye trackers out there for some headsets too. It's far from perfect, but a great option for chasing immersion on a budget or more entry level/relatively affordable facial mocap

Thank youuuuu! I was the same preference as you. Manus quantum and stretch sense seem the best. I’d probably put the extra $1000 down for the quantum, but the fragility of the glove does make me super nervous

Amazing comparsion! I own a Rokoko Smart gloves because its the only one I can afford. But it suprises me that it is actually performing better than all of the one you have tested. Maybe in some of the circumstances Rokoko might lose but the test you did(amazing test btw) is actually running relatively the same as Manus quantum but with a wayyyyyyyyy cheaper price. Would love to hear your thought on rokoko.

This was a great video! We use the MANUS Prime II gloves in our mocap productions, but we've had a lot of issues with them. We've had them replaced more than once because they suddenly stop working and one time was RIGHT before a gig. Talk about bad timing! Have you heard anything about specifically the MANUS gloves breaking a lot for seemingly no reason? We were told to be careful not to pull the fingers when removing them because it can damage the sensors inside the glove... Have you heard anything about that? We also tested the Quantum gloves but it's exactly like you said--it's a major pain getting them on and off... You seriously need a dedicated assistant just to help you with this. We seemed to have better results with these gloves but I almost don't feel it's worth the added time it takes just to put them on...

Hi, I hope this comment will find you. I love your review, it helps me a lot.
I'm planning to get the manus gloves (prime I) and a rokoko smartsuit pro but I have one question.
I planning to drive a custom character within unreal 5, hands and body are in one mesh (minus the head). Is it possible to drive one single mesh with two different brand/device?
    Thank you.

Thanks for making this vid. I orderd the ProFidelity Stretchsense gloves and have since returned them. I am not impressed with any of their performances...bc something like the hands, I would want a product that can more accurately track my fingers and to be able to retarget onto non-proportioned hands... perhaps I'm asking too much, but I don't want to "Fix" data esp. when it comes to hands. Was hoping the Manus Quantums would be a great solution, but it failed on your first pose - fist... guess I'm gonna wait and see what the next gen will look like.

@@TaiyakiStudios It seems like that put all their DandD ability points into accuracy and left out durability. Like, I'm not giving these to my stuntman. But we'll see. After this bill, I'm not buying any other gloves for a long time!
