  • In this video, I finish the detailed body and call this one a success. I spend some time working on all the details, especially the wheels to try and get the car to look as close to a real road car as I can.
This kit in this video was purchased at cost from L&LModels and the body set was purchased used. No restrictions have been placed on RCKicks and my opinions are that of my own.

Wow, that Porsche looks amazing mate, you've done an absolutely awesome job👍👍 I'd agree with you about the body panel lines, a little too thick, but it still looks bloody gorgeous😃

the old Vaterra RC onroad cars had 26mm front tires and 30mm rear tires, thats what i use on my onroad cars with the MST adjustable rims

A beauty. Those exhaust tips are fantastic. I just yesterday finished the '73 tt02 porsche rsr kit you and your wife built on the channel. I just had to have one and wow it doesn't dissappoint. Stunning in box art. I cant stop looking at it. The build was an absolute pleasure. Thanks for the inspiration. First new tamiya kit since 1987 for me.
I'm so glad Tamiya still makes build kits rather than all the r.t.r stuff out now. Building it is most of the joy.
    Cheers.

Seriously…. Awesome build. The Wheels and tires look spot on. I would really like to see how you add the front headlights, that would make a great how-to video. Have a great day….

Looks really good almost like out of some cell shading game.
    I especially like the exhaust.

For a wider tire (32mm) take a look at Tamiya 53231. The are discontinued but can still be found.

On the Porsche 911 45th in white, how did you get the whale rail rear spoiler- as it is not standard.

Looks lovely 👍, I've just started my Td2 Astute build and have been wondering when Tamiya started with their obsession with little bits of foam 🤔

@@RCKickschannel Looked anything more at the mini-z buggies ?
Might be worth getting a Carisma 1:24th scale buggy instead & some cheap 2 cell lipos from the wltoys k989 which are 400 mah & fit in them fine according too Tomley rc with the Carisma gt24 rally cars which has shorter a arms & other suspension bits that are shorter.
Only downside besides not running on AAA's is that they don't come with oil shocks & a bit of a heads up related too the rally cars.
The gt24 rally cars, at least the new ones with the licensed subaru, hyundai & the rs with the escort body & the drifting one that's coming soon can't fit the oil shocks without modifications, works fine on the buggy & truggy though.
I myself just picked up a Wltoys K989 today for 500 sek or about 38£ & as with many cheap rc's it has some issues.
Mainly the drivetrain which I've almost gotten sorted out from just running it & scraping off excess plastic from a few spots which was like 10 - 15 minutes.
I'll need too find some sandpaper & do it some more though too really get it smooth as it should be.
Also need too tear down the diffs too get them running smoothly but got all day for this tomorrow & its an easy job too do imo with how tiny the wltoys is it's like 14 screws & the whole car comes apart lol.
Still despite the issues with the k989, i got about 25 - 30 minutes of runtime with it on a single battery & i got 2 more i had bought in preperation for the carisma gt24b im planning too get as well.

Can you keep images like the one at 5:23 longer? I would prefer if the picture of what you are talking about stayed longer, usually you show these pictures for just a second or two and then you go back to yourself. I would rather keep listening what you have to say while I look closely at the image you are describing.
