This is the first time that I've heard Randy singing, and Wow, he has a great voice!! And Audra has a beautiful voice. I really enjoyed watching this, them all playing together again, and with Katie! Wonderful photo at the end of the video!
I love Audra's voice--sounds a bit like Emmylou Harris' voice. I met Randy after a Petersens' performance and he was as nice as he could be. Great family!
Great to see you all again. Very nice sound. I would know Audra's voice anywhere. She is as beautiful as she was in the first video I saw the family in.
So wonderful to see and hear the Franz Family once again, plus Katie P! Please, must have more FF! We miss your awesome talent and music - come back! A new recording? Corral 'em Randy!
Excellent selection that shows your great family talent and your passion for music. And also a well-deserved tribute to Katie who brings light to each of the songs and music she performs. You're all wonderful! 💛💛💛
Wonderful! I found both of your families and it's nice to see the Fritz group again! The sister is a fantastic singer, heard other songs, lots of soul in that voice. /All the Best
OMG and on my birthday~ Huge fan of the Franz and Petersens. Been asking for new Franz stuff. Audra sounds awesome, we should hear some lead vocals from the multi talented Caleb (Always thought you sounded like Dan Tyminski). Thanks Amazing Katie and hoping Olivia is ok. Emmett terrific as always and Pop sounding great too. Papa F needs to break this into individual videos/songs and repost. Hopefully, someday both families will make it to the bluegrass/gospel stages at the 10 day New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival. Thanks, Bruce T. Blaum
Randy have to realize I'm having to focus my eyes and look at this with the magnifying glass but it's just so wonderful to see you in the other kids participate and to see a smile on your face
You're welcome Frank! Great content here! But you know it very well too. We hope that this collaboration between Katie and the Franz Family will always continue to give us news!
Hello, I liked all the snippets- all good songs, but wish you'd posted several segments of the complete songs, 2 or 3 at a time...I'd asked Katie during the Questions Segment of a Petersens show a month or twoo ago in Pennsylvania- how do y'all come up with such innovative arrangements: robust with beautifully unique harmonic passages, eloquently tasteful instrumental breaks&fills and, most of all, interperative embellishments of melodic structure which complement both traditional bluegrass formats and non bluegrass cover songs with a fresh breath of new life? Her answer gave credit to everybody playing summarily, but especially to Emmett who she commended for his formidable musical talents and ingenious arrangement capability. So, thats what I miss with the tasty snippets- the chance to hear the encompassing full potential of each, or any, of the song's transformative qualities in their entirety- played by such young and collaborative people such as yourselves. Nontheless, God bless you all and keep up the good work- spreading the joy of music with purpose, humility and giving testament to Belief in God- to the delight of all who listen. A friend, Dave J. and I are trying to flesh out some venues in or about Baltimore or the Eastern shore. There's a place I go where Rhonda Vincent & the Rage played often: A. Curtis Andrew Auction in the rural hamlet of American Corner on Maryland's Eastern Shore. It's the real deal for Bluegrass/Country music loving people, as it is a real aution house, not a music hall. There are several other places, and a surprisingly plentiful percentage of rural folk who'd appreciate, and I believe would support the Petersons/Frantz type of wholesome entertainment value. Consider coming to Maryland when on future tour... Dave & I are hoping to work it a bit on this end. Love, Karl
Randy I am just so proud of you no one and giving the facts that you bring the kids together with new instrumentalist and bring the family back as a group my Lord's this is great
A huge thank you! Thank you for bringing back the great music and talent of the Franz Family, with the inclusion of the amazing Katie. Another special opportunity to listen to some great music from you. Greetings from Italy !!
My mother's parents were from Abruzzi, which is an obscure region in Italy to most, Teramo. Thanks again for quickly catching my error and clearing up now where you might dwell.
@@kinmapper8783 Abruzzi is a splendid Italian region and not "obscure". The mountains of the Apennines, national parks and beautiful beaches. Hi Kin and thanks for the reply!
@@Roberto-pd8vn To native Italians you are surely right. Thanks for the glowing comments but for whatever reason the young married couple left before having children. To reviews of the regions of Italy written for Americans, it is mainly left out and has vastly fewer pages than most any other of the regions in guidebooks and other publications. It almost does not exist compared to the famous ones and my mother was born here in Devon, Chester County, Pennsylvania and her father died in the years of the influenza world-wide epidemic in 1922 leaving a pregnant wife with my mother at 5, a sister if still living at 4, sisters at 3 and 2, and a brother at 1, with the wife never really able to speak English even to the 1940s and tough to get employed. Back then the solution was the kids into a Catholic orphanage and my grandmother trying to get her children returned which was done by finding a new husband by which two more were born. Abruzzi was never discussed by my grandmother and so my mother only had memories of the second marriage mainly and the year or two up to the death of her father.
