I’m from the UK and live in the Peak District, many pro riders, ex pro riders train and live here. What always fascinates me is how they look on the bike, when you see them on the road you just know they’re pros. Forget the fact they’re different gravy physically, their riding styles and positioning for me is a thing of beauty. Loved the video. 👍🏼💜🇬🇧🚵🏻♀️🚵🏻♂️🚵🚵

I could be wrong but, looking at his pedaling style, the Israel Premier Tech rider could have been Derek Gee.
The first Lidl rider could either be Mosca, Cataldo or Lopéz. In my opinion, he could be Lopéz: he has a really smooth cadence but he sits comfortably upright on the bike. Cataldo had a terrible accident last year and he once said he had been having problem sitting steadily on the back (like Pozzovivo, but he could be fine now). Mosca is more of a "old school" italian cyclist, like Formolo, therefore he is more of a grinder rather than a spinner when it comes to cadence. The other Trek Cyclists have national jerseys.
Tesfatsion is the second Lidl Trek cyclist you encounter up the hill.

I think you rode incredibly well to keep up, I was only 10 minutes faster up the same hill . The main problem I had was getting traction on the rear trye as it kept spinning & smoking on the tarmac

Nice! I think the only other place that comes close is Calpe in Spain at this time of year. Pretty sure there are more pro cyclists there than cars on the roads. Rimbrakes ftw!

Lots! I didn’t have a PM on my Astana SLC01 but based on the rapid speed how we zoomed past others I was doing around 400w.
I felt a few kg lighter by the time got to the top due to the hot pace.

Pros have a pretty regimented training plan and you have no idea of what they're trying to achieve. Dude was more than likely a local rider like you. But, if an actual pro, It may be an easy day or segment and the plan calls for not exceeding 250 watts or whatever. I believe you were fantasizing lol. Dudes probably thinking "hey, get off my wheel. I'm just trying to have an easy ride."
None of these guys pro you are right. Just noobs like me trying to drop that last 30kg and be fit enough to walk a few blocks at brisk pace.

Adelaide metro has some of the most shittiest suburban traffic I've ever encountered. It is not a cycling friendly city at all. But the hills and surrounds are very nice for cycling.
