  • So my larger Ryobi electric pressure washer was on the fritz during a busy week detailing and I didn't really have time to wait for one to be shipped. I decided to by this little Ryobi 1600 PSI / 1.2 GPM pressure washer as a stop gap until I could order one. Big surprise! This thing is awesome! It works really well for washing cars as you will see in this video. we will also go over a few other benefits of this machine. Enjoy!

“Your not going to blast your whole driveway off or clean the side of your house.” Hmm that’s weird. I cleaned my 25ft by 75ft driveway and my 1800 sq ft house with this. Took me a couple hours. It is definitely capable of all your needs at home. I wouldn’t use this to start a siding cleaning business but it’s certainly capable of cleaning your own home and driveway.

That foam gun doesn't really look like foam more like just suds,, is that just how it is or is that because of the way that you have the nozzle setup for this wash?

1.1 orifice makes a HUGE difference...it is THICK.

Yep, I saw that from another car detailers video. 👍

What kind of gun is on it?

I just saw another review on CZcams with lots of examples of it blasting sidewalks and bricks and sides of houses and everything so it does do that stuff.

I have this and used it on my sidewalk recently - it did a nice job. The pressure is relatively low, so it'll take a little longer than a better model, but still impressive. Also used on a wooden swing set with good results.

Are you using the 100 foot hose with the 1600?

Any idea if this washer can pull water from a tank? Mobile detailer here looking for info

I don't believe any of the Ryobi or box store brands can pull from a static water source. I know my Kranzle is. Not sure if there are amy others.

Did the MTM foam gun and 1.1 orifice make a difference? This is super weak looking wet foam, I think I get better foam out of my simple hose attached foam gun. Was kind of hoping for an inexpensive foam cannon to use with my MTM foam cannon without dragging out my 2500 psi gas washer.

I got my Kranzle 1622TS at the same time as the MTM so I only used it once or twice on the Ryobi. It was small improvement on the thickness of the foam but definitely not shaving cream. The Ryobi just doesn't have enough GPM.

Any updates on the 1600 ryobi pressure washer

So I used it for 50 washes within 1 months time and it held up great. Then I got my Kranzle 1622 and that is now a backup. I used it a few times when water runoff was a problem. It flows quite a bit less water than the Kranzle so that really helped.

What color nozzle do you use to spray?

    Is that the stock gun?

No it's not the stock gun. It's an MTM Hydro SGS28. Been running it for about 2 years now and I love it. I've dropped it more times than I'd like to admit and it's built like a tank. I couldn't imagine going back to using a long wand either. I did get it after the original Ryobi one from the first pressure washer I had crapped out.

I think it’s your soap , you should get more foam than that
