- The Brand New RYOBI 3000 psi 1.1 gpm electric pressure washer available at Home Depot! This pressure washer is Ryobi's highest rated electric pressure washer. It's also their most expensive electric pressure washer... but is it worth it? I test out the actual usable psi and gpm to see just how accurate the ratings are. I also go over all of the features and quirks of this new pressure washer and see if we can manipulate the psi and gpm to make it a good choice for washing cars... ENJOY!!!

Thanks for keeping the videos coming Josh I bought the Portland pressure washer because of you and it has lasted me almost a year so far no issues. Your the man.
It looks like I am sticking with my tried and true 1900 PSI Ryobi. Thanks for these videos.
Mine JUST gave out after 2 years of service lol! Best bang for buck but I want something with more PSI to get that real thick layer of foam.
Thanks for making this video! I went out and bought this exact unit yesterday and it worked great with the MJJC V3 foam cannon.
I saw it real quick, but it said “water cooled” which is a great help to prolong the life of the motor!
Not first again!! Great review.
WE THE PEOPLE WANT IMJOSHV FOAM!!!!
Oh gosh Josh, I bet Home Depot loves your visits... I see their stock prices are up!
Thank you. Made a lot of sense and helped me understand them better.
happy to help!
Another great video Josh. You have given great advice and honest opinions. You always steer us in the right direction. 👍
Super helpful! Thank you!
Great vid!
Very in Detail
Very very highly informational. I don’t know why I am still not subbed before. Anyways, SUBBED. 👍
Thanks for the videos bro super appreciate it! Also quick question ..what would you recommend for a surface cleaner that'll be compatible for this exact model?
Thank you Josh. Lots of great videos. I have 2 questions. 1st. On the electronic pressure washer can you add the ball valve for rinse down and will the machine create enough pressure for a strong stream without using a pressure washer gun? 2nd question. I have had 2 shepherd ryobi Plug with the Surge protector Burns out. I never plug it anywhere near where the water is so I can't understand why that keeps happening. So what I want to doing is cutting the wire and by passing it directly to an outlet in my garage That has a search protector as well. Have you ever seen this before?
Just purchased this, I love it the only problem I have is the wheels will not stay steady
Very helpful video. Thanks.
I bought one of those adjustable nozzles. 3.0 for my Active PW.
Love your content! Any chance you have tried the SJ SPX3550? Any thoughts on a good electric machine I can use for home driveway and sidewalk and also use for car?
I like using the soap Canon for car wash and the built-in tank for multi use soap looking at getting a flexzilla hose too. Awesome videos thank you 👍😁
Thanks Kenneth!
as per your recommendations I purchased the 2700psi unit from Lowes and last week upgraded my hose to the flex-zilla and quick connect fittings and another foam cannon. like you I don't care for the ramp up on the unit, but it performs great no issues the small upgrades really helped it does produce some great foam action like really thick which I was surprised. I have a 3200psi gas unit also but tend to use it for heavy duty jobs for the driveway and house stuff plus I get up at 6am to clean my vehicles before the sun starts blasting everything lol so the electric unit keeps the noise down while my neighbor's sleep. keep up good work man.
did you just extend the hose? the stock hose is made by uberflex so other than the color it's the same as the flexzilla.
@@TheBassallyear100 my 2700psi unit came with a crappy plastic coated hose that was to short and would kink easily. That's why I replaced it with the flex-zilla.
@@TheBassallyear100 on the GW it is, but I think he got the Ryobi
@@ericfranke1637 he said from Lowe’s so I assumed the green works. If it was that I would be surprised if it didn’t include the blue Uber flex hose.
@@TheBassallyear100 good point. I don't think I've seen the Ryobi brand at Lowe's. I have to go to Home Depot to see them.
Great video… thanks man
So what's your recommendation (first choice) for a car and house uint mostly used for vehicles out of all you have reviewed please ...? Also, best foam canon and orifice size for Auto use can you address this quickly for me need to buy a unit ASAP ...? Thanks
Can you review both of the Generac electric pressure washers? They just came out this year
so I have been watching a lot of your videos. What electric pressure would you buy today to do everything around your house and to wash your cars
Good review. I might consider buying the unit. On a side note. Do you know you look like Ricky Fowler (the Golf Pro) ?
Can you review the new Greenworks Pro 3000 psi? A few other car detailers have highly rated it but your reviews/test are better-more though and detailed.
Josh... I'm spending too much money buying a lot of what you're reviewing.. My wife wants to intervene! LOL
Lol the addiction is real!
Tell her to blow at 3000psi and you’ll think about it
I thought I was the only one. 😮 lol
Im having symptoms, gonna have to buy it. 😂
🤣🤣
You ro excellent presentation.
I purchased it and several other products you recommended.
So far, everything is working well except for one design glitch. There is a small rubber o-ring (#017, 11/16 inside diameter by 1/16") at the hose inlet located behind the black knob that keeps the water from spraying out when the garden hose is attached to the machine. After just 6 months, it broke in spite of the fact that o-rings normally last 10 years or more. Not a problem, right? O-rings can be replaced. Not the way this unit was designed. The brass inlet pipe goes directly into the pump housing. You can not replace the o-ring. There's 2 solutions. First, you can allegedly purchase a slightly larger diameter o-ring (3/4" inside diameter) cut it at a 45° angle and then with a special superglue, connect it after trimming just enough to allow the ends to close. An aviation mechanic advised me that he did it all the time. The only other alternative is to call Greenworks customer service.
Great video. Maybe a supplement video to show foam cannon performance because of the higher psi using the 1.1 and 1.25 orifice variants?
Great review! I also watched your review of the Greenworks 3000 psi electric washer. My question is, what would you recommend as I'm looking for a 3000 psi electric washer?
Can you get a set of 40 degree nozzle tips in various orifice sizes to see if there is an ideal one for each of the pressure washers you review? Right now you test using a 40 degree 3.0mm and a 25 degree 2.5mm. Also, what would be the best balance that you want to strive for? Let's say hypothetically you use a 40 degree tip and you have a choice of 2.0mm (1400 psi, 1.0 gpm), 2.5mm (1000 psi, 1.2 gpm), or 3.0mm (800 psi, 1.4 gpm). Which would you choose for car detailing?
I've used this sprayer several times now on brick pavers, a wood deck, patio, and a driveway. czcams.com/users/postUgkx43QMbQqu67IZadu9ou8Sg1BdrunMRNqX It has performed as expected on all surfaces. For larger areas like the decks and patios, I think I will be looking into a surface cleaner attachment to speed up the job, or at least make it a little easier. Hose and sprayer connections are tool-less, tight, and quick. I used the yellow nozzle on the concrete/brick surfaces, and the pressure was adequate for cleaning those surfaces.I am disappointed that these units are still being shipped with a nozzle storage holder that allows them to vibrate out of the holder way too easily and become lost, but I don't want to knock off a star for that reason. The functional part of the washer works very well, so I would recommend this product.
It's been a while. Do you have any recommendations for a top of the line pressure washer? I'm over my gas powered one. Maintenance alone with my type of water is a pain. I can't just pull it out and turn it on. I'm always sanding the magnet and everything to get a spark.
Very nice video, do you still recommend this as the best electric pressure washer I know greenworks has a 3000 psi electric as well.. thank you so much and have a wonderful end of 2023!
I’m still happy with my craftsman 2100 psi pressure washer, thanks Josh 👍😁
Nice! Happy to hear that!!!!
@@imjoshv question which would you recommend for overall use. 2400 dewalt, 2300 ryobi or Bauer 2300? Or what do you suggest?
Me too. I got the same one. Imo it's the best one of the bunch.
@@bobbywiegner525 craftsman 2100.
Do u think once the new active pressure washer comes out I should buy the ve52 hopefully the price drops a lil just want to wash person cars🥰
Do you think the machine is more than enough for a sewer cleaning or unplug thanksss great video
Can you do maybe a top 5 video review for pressure washers for car detailing?
Great stuff, a great pressure washer for those looking for the top end of the 2k pressure washers almost 3k but $400 is a bit steep. Right now for memorial day harbor freight I believe us selling their 2300 psi unit for $220 which Josh also did a review on. I think I can live with 400 less psi for about half the price.
Same!!
Get the GW2700 on a 20% off sale instead, it's the better unit
@@ericfranke1637 that's $350 at Lowes, cheaper than the new ryobi one
@@freewilly5073 yep, and GW runs regular sales that Lowe's will price match. You should pay between $261-279 for the GW2700
$450 now. Yikes!
Is the Ryobi 3000 PSI ($419) worth the difference in price over the 2700 ($232)? What are the main differences other than the top folding over, which is pretty cool
thanks, 10:04 pressure test @2700psi running with 1.1 gpm nozzle
Great video.
DO the gas ones work just as good for mobile detailing ?? Seen they don't build up pressure
what do you think about buying the Ryobi remanufactured pressure washers?
Do you recommend this ryobi over the greenworks 3000psi ? Thanks
hi, josh. regarding the active VE52 pressure washer ( simoniz platinum in canada ), i am looking to put a quick connect fitting between the wand & wand extension. can you kindly provide me with a direct link to the parts that i require. twice now i've ordered & received the wrong parts. with your kind assistance i hope not to repeat the same mistake. cheers & thank you kindly !
I would love to own that Ryobi
Thanks Josh!
Josh, can you recommend a shop or site that can walk me through purchasing fittings/hose/quick disconnects from top to bottom.?
Here you go....
www.mtmhydroparts.com/collections/spray-guns
That one is already showing up in our Home Depot over here in Houston Texas
Nice! Good to know.
Every product you review ends being the best in the category every time. This starta to sound more like ads
You need to review the Worx pressure washers
Big question is this better than the Costco Husqvarna? Aside from the pressure difference?
Would you suggest I order this one over the Honda gas engine Ryobi ?
Is this a good start off to use for starting a water pressure business? Wouldn’t you need big water tanks for it?
Bought this cause of u. Thank you.
Awesome hope you enjoy it!
so, is the reason you change orifice size is to control pressure? so if i want to wash my car i would use the 2.5 orifice to lower the pressure and increase flow?
Hey Josh great review. Would you know of any retractable pressure hose reels like they have for air hoses?
So what pressure washer would you recommend that is real strong and I’m only use it to clean my car my house siding and my deck and driveway I would like something quiet wasn’t sure if I should go with gas or electric or if you have a link for the one that you recommend
Can you please tell me what’s the best pressure washer we taught drop and pressure when you pulled the trigger 3500 psi please let me know best one in the market now thank you
JOSH!!! I need you to Review something ASAP!!! It’s a hidden gem within the shelves of Walmart!! Black Magic Graphene Detailer!!! This thing is BETTER than Bead Maker by P&S I tried it on my work truck 2 weeks ago after washing it. And today I washed my truck and with the pre rinse today, ALL of the dirt that was on it (I work landscaping) all of it came off! And the water beads WERE INSANE!!! like a ceramic coating had been applied on my trucks paint!!! I didn’t decontaminate i didn’t clay I didn’t anything! But washed it and dried it with this detailer and OMG! The slickness was awesome! And the water Beading OMG I NEED YOU TO REVIEW THIS. Best part! Is it’s only $8!!! I couldn’t believe it! This product is worth sooo much more! It needs to get out there people need to know about this amazing product!
Try the Turtle Wax ceramic and you'll never go back
@@ericfranke1637 believe me that’s one of my favorites too!
I bought this unit. Used it for a weekend and then returned it. The psi to gpm ration doesn’t move a lot dirty. The hose is a pain and the nozzle is bulky. I’m better off spending the money on an active 2.0 rather than upgrading hose, handle, and nozzle tips.
Josh, do you recommend a great generator ? Please, and thanks
is it better than the greenworks 3000 psi washer?
Great 👍 video
From all the electric pressure washers witch one you think is the best?
Can you add an extension cord to these types of cords?
Any good links for a 100ft hose that would work good with this machine ?
Thanks for the very useful details Josh! Quick question, which orifice do you recommend to safely was your car with a 3.300PSI gas pressure washer? Thanks in advance! Mattia
Is there another electric pressure washer you recommend ? Should I get this one over the 2300?
Have you used it? Any before and after to determine which is the best?
Hello! i need your advice. I want to buy a foam cannon from you. with which pressure washer foam cannon will give better results for thick creamy foam when washing cars? which is the best pressure washer to use with your foam cannon? I have a 3000 brushless Ryobi 1.1 gpm which is good for home use.
What would you say the best overall electric power washer is with most power
I got the 2700. It’s ok but not great. My biggest issue is the stiff plastic hose that’s just tangled up in one big knot. That’s enough to make me take it back and see if the greenworks or another brand is any better. For the price they could at least include a decent hose.
Thanks Josh for all that you do . . . I wish at the end you would use a foam cannon and see the results from that. Thank You again!!! 👍
Watch the video of the Greenworks 2700/3000, it's the same
Looks like the 2700 is better for our purposes, like the Greenworks. I'd like to add that most people with a 50 foot hose won't be standing next to the unit and the high pressure water flow from the gun becomes the loudest sound near you. I was using mine in the driveway today and totally forgot about the pressure washer in the garage. It does seem a bit quieter than a lot of the pressure washers with total stop though. Oh, and I'm reading right at 1,000 psi with a 3.5mm tip on the GW2700. Not sure why our numbers differ. I have 50 feet of 5/8" Flexzilla garden hose and the pressure gauge is at the outlet of the motor, if it matters.
hello. in your opinion what's the best electric pressure washer money can buy?
I wish you would answer some of these questions.
Is 1.325 gpm 1100psi attaching to q foam Cannon?
How come this isn't available in the UK?
I have been reading a lot about what the actual possibilities of pressure you can get out of these less than 220V pressure washers. There evidently is a limit and many companies are untruthful as to performance. Is this one of them also.
What would you say is the better pressure washer from 2500 psi and up between ryobi and greenworks
Josh, what size surface cleaner would you recommend for this unit? It seems at 3000 PSI it is in-between the 12" (for PSI up to 2300), and the 15" (recommended for gas pressure washers at 3200 PSI and up)?
where would you get the surface washer?
Im looking to buy a pressure washer that can clean my driveway and be able to wash my car. Do you recommend this for that?
Wow so that 5in1 nozzle has a super tiny orfice bummer thought about picking it up
Have you had any other style of power washer? I am looking around at machines, and I was told not to get one with the pump under the machine, like yours.
Is it better or able the same as the greenworks 3k?
can u try some gas pressure washers out sometime, and keep up the good work
Hey Josh. Thanks for the review. I found an interesting comment that said we’re all capped at 1200psi/.7 gpm with electric due to only drawing 115amps of pwr. Is this true?
No, the max is around 1.1 gpm at 3000 psi or 2 gpm at 1000 psi. And I think you meant 15 amps
It totally depends on your machine. I run a single phase 230 volt machine that is 2.2 gpm and 2300 PSI. It needs 16A to run. In the US the same Stihl machine runs on 120 volt and 20A. Plenty of machines that will run in the 1800-2000 PSI range and deliver 1.8-2.2 gph.
Have you ever thought of doing a giveaway on the pressure washers
Is this a better deal at $200 vs the greenworks 2300 at $150?
It took me a year to buy this pressure washer thinking i can use it for multi purpose around house. I want to buy new nozzle tips but im so confused with the 1.1 gpm and which nozzles to buy. Does anyone have an advice? I been looking and reading and cant find anything or get straight answers other than chatgpt saying i need to get compatible tip with this flow rate.
I have a gas ryobi it works fine hate the hose but replaced it. Called ryobi to see if I could replace the forward leaning handle it is the most awkward piece of equipment I have I hate that and can not replace it they have obviously never heard or ergonomics, would love to hear from someone that straiten it.
Karcher 170bar is maximum at 230 volts in Europe.
Karcher HD 5/17 has 170 bar at the end of doze. Inside the motor has more. When you messure has more.
Did you have issues with it tripping your outlet? Just took mine out the box and it keeps tripping mine!
In your own opinion, what is the best all around electric pressure washer to date?
My neighbors would love for me to have this. I enjoy my Honda 3200 psi , take care of it it’ll last forever
That’s true! The Honda 3200 will also have a higher gpm. That’s a great motor, just definitely louder than electric ha
@@imjoshv Yes very loud, it’s beast lol. I have a large truck so it works fantastic. Appreciate the videos
same one I have its a Simpson with a Honda GC160 engine and works amazing.
I got ryobi honda 3300 psi . Mine is so loud
So this machine keeps on? no for me .
Thanks for share.
Can you add (TSS)?
how much psi does it put out with the turbo nozzle?
thanks for these. Helps a ton as I'm trying to replace the gas pressure washer that went out on me......As a detailer, cant have that happen lol
While cost is an option, if you're a pro detailer, this is far from what you need.
Ok I am starting to get frustrated. I have watched all of the videos on CZcams within the last year, looked at all of Reddit and tried to filter through unbiased websites, for the life of me, I cannot find any recommendations for an electric pressure washer for under $500 that has high gpm and psi for cleaning concrete(nothing crazy demanding) and the occasional car foam washing(at a farther distance). Can you please make a recommendation for me? If there isn’t one out of box that is ideal, is there one that you do recommend only if there are upgrades/mods done to it? If so, which one? And what mods would need to be done to it. The more detailed your response the better. I would greatly appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.
