- June 25, 2023 would have been the 60th birthday of the legend George Michael.
At his performance in Glastonbury, Elton befittingly dedicated his song "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me" to George, a song they had recorded and performed together live on stage back in 1993.

Thank you Sir Elton. You helped George stand alone and shine. Be his true self. I miss him so much. Struggling with the wham documentary with Andrew admitting he wanted George in the closet. I can’t get past that.
Ive watched that doco twice and didnt hear Andrew say that once.
@@sydneybhoy watch again. I can’t help you. It happened when they were filming Club Tropicana video in Ibiza. George came out. Andrew didn’t take it well. Convinced him to stay closeted. A big deal. It’s also in interviews and biographies.
