This movie has a special place in my heart. My grandmother took me to see it in the theater. We were the only ones there. It felt like a private viewing. Still one of my favorite movies of all time. Thanks for this!
My gramma took me to see it, too💚
That’s awesome!
I wish I could of watched the dead movies with my Nan’.
How sweet!!!!💕💕💕
Wow dude! What a cool grandmother!!! I was obsessed with this movie as a kid. 🤘☠️
@@loganboyd1392 she’s the best. Still kicking at 94.
“There coming to get you Barbara” A Classic ❤
🔥THNX!🔥Johnny : "we're visiting her more now than we did when she was alive"😆
A very underappreciated movie. I thought it was quite good and I rank it as one of my favourite zombie movies.
The best zombie movie ever.❤ Romero and Savini - two perfect geniuses.
Savini did a terrifying job with the opening sequence of this film. It was horrifying. I loved it.
Is that really you Michael and Jessica? I think this may be someone committing fraud. Look how they spelled grimmlifecollective. Notice the capital "L?" Please get back with me, I emailed you directly.
What I like about the opening sequence is the car driving to the cemetery with Johnny and Barbara bitching in the background.
I walked downtown to see this movie at a theater when I was seven years old by myself, times were different in 1968.
When I was 13 my stepfather would drop me off alone at a deer blind 1/2 mile from his blind on a deer lease in central Texas with a surplus WWII M1 Garand and a pack of Camel non filters, I still have the rifle but smoked all the Camels.
Ive loved this movie since i was a kid. I took Savinis course in Monessen, Pa. One of the instructors worked on this. Got to meet Tony Todd, Tom Towles, Bill Mosley, and Romero. I was obsessed with movie. Thanks for doing this
You guys have brought us to so many historical places, shared with us so many historical and sometimes tragic events - always with grace, tact and respect. You have shared with us so many fun places and things. I always look forward to the next video wondering 'what are Michael and Jessica going to show us next?' Thanks so much for all your efforts - I know you have to enjoy it or you would not do it, but you must know how much your presentations are appreciated by so many!
you can send me 50 dollars too, if you d like :):)
boot licker
Can you tell me how super thanks works>
Thats so sweet of you Caltx!
Did you ever receive a thanks?
That movie actually started my love for cemeteries. The opening is so peaceful with them driving up the hill into the cemetery. The arguing of the brother and sister was classic. Loved this movie! Thanks for this!!!
Same here, i love these things.. 🤗
Your love for cemeteries?You freak.
I totally agree with you. I love going to cemeteries because of this movie. They are so peaceful. Yet every time I go to one I always think of this version of the movie and say to myself “What if?”
Oh yes, I love the cemetery shots in horror films!
Try Hollywood Graveyards. It's an interesting channel.
As a kid, I was TERRIFIED of cemeteries because my parents showed me this movie and for years tormented me with it. They always drove me through cemeteries and repeated the lines from the movie. But now, I just love them. They're so peaceful and beautiful. And I'm planning on going to Mortuary School.
My sister and I would stay up late and watch this on what I recall to be TNT channel. We lived less than a mile from the local cemetery that many of our family was buried at. We would get so freaked out and would start to think the windows were being tapped on and the door knob shaking. I love this version just as much as the original.
MonsterVision on TNT Saturday night. I watched it religiously every week
Yep. They played Return of the Living Dead 2 before this.
Then this came on and I got to the part where Barb gets to the farmhouse before I had to shut it off and go upstairs because I was all alone downstairs watching it.
Joe Bob Briggs. Good times lol.
You absolutely found the right tree with that last one. You can tell by how it almost looks twisted. That's how it looks in the movie too! I love this movie, both of them. Definitely one that started my love of horror. I wish we could see some long lost nc17 cut of this.
I have a special place in my heart for this remake. It was my introduction to Romero's dead movies when I was 11/12 when it was released to cable in the early 90's. It changed me as a horror fan, and never felt so creeped out. I slowly started renting whatever zombie movie I could find at our local video store, and consuming any reading material I could get my hands on about the genera (pre-internet days). I eventually visited the Monroeville Mall, and met Romero, Savini, and many of the actors in the dead trilogy. Though Savini was unhappy with it, I can thank him for making me a bigger horror geek with NOTLD 90🖤💀 Thank you so much Mike, and Jessica for visiting this location, and safe travels as hurricane Ian moves up the coast.💙
I was maybe 7yrs old when i saw the black and white movie. Man it scared me
I was around 11 when I saw Dawn of the Dead and later saw NOTLD at 15/16.
Why was Tom Savini upset with NOTLD ‘90?
@@GazB85 in a nutshell, his creative process was disrupted by the higher ups. Wish there was a directors cut.
Hands down the best remake of a movie ever
When was the remake released? I haven't seen it. Edit: 1990??
I grew up in the Poconos in Northeast PA and when that wind whips around, the trees become eerie with the creaking.
Cool channel.
I remember seeing this in the theater. I liked this one better than the original.
Well done!
I've always wanted to go on a tour of all the filming locations in Romero's films, but your videos are the next best thing. Your attention to detail is amazing, great job
Definitely one of the best horror remakes ever.
Your videos are always great, but I especially like the interesting details and information you provide in your filming location videos. As a young kid, the original Night of the Living Dead gave me nightmares for many years. Great job with this video!
I saw this one in the theater in 1990, I enjoyed it being in color and action and drama from the actors, the original will always be the icon but this one was a great remake 🔥
Night of the Living Dead (60s version) was my introduction to horror films. I was around 5 years old when I saw it for the first time, with my dad. It scared the crap outta me, especially since I lived near a cemetery 🤣 I've actually had the opportunity to meet the original actress who played Barbara from the 60s version (Judith O'Dea), as well as the Sheriff (George Kosana), and then the great Tony Todd who played Ben in the 90s version. All great people. I've been hooked on horror movies ever since.
Omg . You two are sooo amazing. I loved that movie, I’d love to be going around to all the places you show us ........
Thanks to you , we get to experience it through your tours . ✌️😁
Michael! You were looking a little bit like Tim Burton there… with the wind blowing your hair all around😂😂😂😂
NOTLD90 is freaking fantastic. I originally saw it in the theater when it came out and before that I was already a living dead fan. Savini really nailed it. One of these years I want to travel to Pittsburgh and visit as many locations as possible. RIP George Romero. 🧟
I first saw this movie when I was 8 Y/O. I love this!
Michael and Jessica, you do such an awesome job on "filming locations". Love how you show the scenes from the movies themselves and compare them to today. As always, ty for taking us with you and another job well done😃 Continued safe travels you two.😄💀🥰
They're coming to get you barbara. I'll never forget those words. My dad took me to see this in the theater when i was 7 years old.
I remember watching that movie. My brother used to always scare me. They’re coming to get you Barbara. 😂😂
I've never watched this version. Thanks for sharing.
I love what your doing. I started watching horror movies at the age of 5 years old .now I am a paranormal investigator of 38 years ,started back in 1988 and still active today.
I love cemeteries. They're peaceful. Again thanks for doing this. One of my favorite movies. I am tempted and would love to see the house upfront and inside it but I understand. It's important to be respectful.
I just want to thank you for all the hard work you put into these videos. Not many creators would include video from the movie as a frame of reference and it’s greatly appreciated! Keep up the great work 👍
I remembered watching this in 2009 as a kid heheh great thank you for bringing back these memories
Thank you guys, I really needed this tonight. I use this video as part of my halfway to Halloween tradition, along with the movie. I watch the original movie along with your location video for that on Halloween night every year now, too! I needed it more than ever this year. I fear I am losing my mom. She's declining and I feel powerless and hopeless after taking care of her since August of 2016 when she first became sick. I was supposed to give her a kidney on July 12th of 2021 to save her, but they canceled us a few days before surgery. I didn't feel much like following through with my yearly tradition, but I made myself do it. I watched this video and now I'm off to watching the actual movie. I needed some good feelers today, it was the worst feeling day I think I've ever had. Thank you for making it a little bit better. Happy anniversary and of course, happy Halloween!
That is some beautiful countryside.
LOVE your tour route that you GriMMs are taking!... LOVE the cast for the George Romero remake--- a celebrity smorgasbord.... Thanks, again, for taking us along again, GrIMMs... Happy Halloween, again!...... :^)"""""""""
Your hard work is so appreciated. I love to 'tag along' with the both of you on these investigations. Much work was put into the top-notch filming, research and editing and I couldn't ask for two more genial hosts. Thanks for this!
A dose of grimmlife for my Friday ! Today is a good day !🎃🤘
Great Video!! Never disappointed your content RULES!!!
Awesome, also a Beautiful area. I've seen both the 1968 as well as this remake. They did an Awesome Job.
So cool! I never imaged the farm house would still be standing!
I saw this in the theater when it came out. It was really memorable not just because of the movie, but because of the theater.
The theater I saw this in was the Whittier Village Cinema in Whittier, California. It had just reopened in 1990 after being closed and then completely renovated. It had been closed after being damaged in the October 1, 1987 earthquake. I had never seen a movie in that theater, despite growing up in Whittier. The reason being, it had been known as the Pussycat Theater and showed exclusively skin flicks! This was the first time I'd been able to see a movie in that theater.
This was the best remake of a classic thriller! 🕯😁
This movie is iconic in my life because it got me into zombies and the other Romero living dead movie's. I have seen them all and by far the NOTLD remake is one of the best remakes that's been made in the horror industry.
Awesome video, and a wonderful love letter to this movie. The original is scary but admittedly this version was the one I saw first. I was in my teens when this version came out and it totally hit my horror movie sweet spot.
WO my mom and I have always loved this movie! Can't believe y'all made it there. Awesome video and Happy Halloween!
Y’all are literally my favorite CZcams channel
Holy Shit! That was Bill Moseley all clean cut!? Dog will hunt...
Man this is so cool. I wish you could've gotten a little closer though. I've always wanted to see that house. It's HUGE! The remake was so much better than the original. Patricia Tallman was amazing in this movie. I really want to see this house up close though.😥It's famous and well known due to the movie. Thank you for posting this. Very cool.
Seen it in the theater when I was 9..... Epic!!!!! You're awesome ❤❤❤❤❤ rob
Grimm Life on a Friday 😳 Is there anything better than that?! 🍻🍻🍻
Used to watch horror movies whiltes under the influence of LSD back in early 80's. Night of Living Dead is one of my faves!!!
Appreciate this vlog so very much! One of my favorite movies of all times! Ty for taking us along! Cheers!
This is one of my favorites horror movies and the first one on my list of best movies about zombies, I had nightmares about it jajajajaja but now I feel really confortable every time when I see this jewel movie. Greetings from Costa Rica✌ Pura Vida.
NOTLD part 1 is my favorite horror movie of all time 🎥 Absolutely perfect. Part 2 is a good update, but black & white just looks more spooky 😱
What do you think of Zack Snyder’s Dawn of the dead remake?
Thanks again Michael and Jessica that was awesome tour so much fun! You should have let Tom and Bill know you were going to be there they might have tagged along that would be great, thanks

You two are great. Thank you for making this!
very cool! awesome seeing how much has changed vs how little. yeah, i bet the owner of the property wouldnt want fans to disturb their space but at least they're nice enough that they dont fence out the entire area.
I love this perspective thank you!
Your videos are so perfect! I love them! I get through watching one, and then another one pops up. Addicting! I have been binge watching for 2 days now!

This was the film that I remember starting my love for Zombie films and I feel like it was a part of an era in my teens when I went from a Horror fan as a kid having seen Halloween, Friday the 13th, Phantasm, Elm Street, Creature from the Black Lagoon and lots of good ones to all of a sudden I watched this then the original Night, Dawn and Day, Evil Dead, Return of the Living Dead and just so many zombie films and tons of other non Zombie films and just became this huge Horror fan that was watching all sorts of old classics and great new stuff and never looked back. I hope to see these locations one day myself. Thank you for covering it! Loved the video as I always do with the great work you two do! :)
