I don't know why, but this is one of my all time favorite horror movies. I love the whole vibe and how it never let's up. Its very spooky and original
Love watching Mr. Zombies movies, even the not so great ones, but I procrastinated watching the Lords of Salem. Found it on Tubi, so will finally watch it, right after your posting.

Underrated? I disagree, it was awful. Been a fan of horror for almost 40 years. Barely made it through watching it the first time due to the sheer boredom Rob Zombie supplied. Not sure if this or 31 was worse.
One of my favorite Zombie films. The whole atmosphere of the movie screams CREEPY!!!!! Love it!!

The Pier at the Willows has been taken down-an old iconic piece of history. We were very sad when that came down.

It's one of my favorites too. I think the fact that it's very stylized is why it wasn't popular at first. People were expecting another House of 1000 Corpses, not a creepy Italian gallo.
@@adamfitch965 True Rob Zombies movies have a lasting impact, very layered with the lighting, the music the images... this movie was almost more like a meditation on the dark arts rather than a macabre -ish horror like house was.

Well done on finding the locations! I live in Salem, just up the road from Greenlawn, I even go running there almost every day, and it still took me a little while to find Moss Path when I went looking for it. The interior of that chapel is nothing like in the movie, it's very plain. It does have some beautiful cherub carvings on the buttresses, but the walls are just white blocks. The pier at the Willows wasn't rotting, it kept getting wrecked by storms, so the city eventually gave up and just tore it down. One other small filming location from the end was shot there too, where she's sitting on the grass playing with her dog. It was shot on that hill you can see from the pier location.
I hope you enjoyed your visit to Salem, my wife and I love living here, even in the cold winter. :D
Oh, and I thought at first that the radio station was down on Dodge Street, which would make sense of you not finding it cuz the building I thought it was is gone now, but upon further viewings of the movie, I think it's in LA. Rob Zombie only had three days to shoot in Salem, and I know that Ken Foree never came here for any of his shots.
I'm from the UK, & there's 2 places I'd LOVE to visit in the U.S........ New Orleans & Salem.

This might be a coincidence but when my girlfriend and I went to your meet and greet Friday in Salem. I meet another fan behind us, her and I had talked about Rob Zombie movies when his music came on while waiting to meet you. Btw I was so happy to meet you both and able to give you a gift from Salem!
Really fun movie- One of my favorite Zombies. (I'm a local Salemite and I don't believe the radio station exterior was filmed here) Got to love Meg Foster.

I love the look of the movie and it’s occult themes give it a dark and spooky vibe but I kept waiting for something to happen and then the movie was over. The end could’ve been really brutal and intense and instead it looks like a really cool metal video. Cool to see the locations through your eyes, love how you line up the shots perfectly

Anyway I'm so glad you guys had a good time here in Massachusetts ,it's Rich in History and the More macabre history the better 👍😎 when you guys get a chance probably when you return home check out some of the information pertaining to the Bridgewater Triangle , I think you might find it to be interesting , the Bridgewater Triangle encompasses 17 towns in South eastern Massachusetts and some parts of Rhode Island ,I know I've experienced some weird things in a couple of the towns such as Abington which is the next town over from weymouth the three points of the Bridgewater Triangle are Abington, Rehoboth and Freetown , it's really pretty interesting I really do think you guys will enjoy reading about it ,in conclusion the state of Massachusetts has some really Macabre history from the Witch trials,to Lizzie Borden and the Bridgewater Triangle and that's just to name a few,the list goes on and on and very quick and interesting note the Salem witch trials and the trial of Lizzie Borden are Exactly 200 years apart from One another I don't know I think it's rather interesting one in 1692 and the other in 1892 , I love your channel and be safe on your travels and as always Happy Halloween 🎃

Thought I have seen all of Rob Zombies movies. Must catch this one. Love Salem, especially this time of year. Great work as usual on the shot by shot set up. And Jessica asked a great question as to why Zombie chose that house in the opening as opposed to other historical houses in the area. It get's to the heart of what directing is all about;; a decision that is random, but based on the creative eye of that director. Its what makes one director's style unique compared to another's.
Underrated flick. The visuals are pretty interesting and definitely different from his other movies. I wish he brought the same vision to his halloween movies.

Jessica got me thinking about moss so I looked it up; unlike most plants, it is non-vascular and that's why it must stay near moisture and doesnt grow tall except for one odd species that grows 20 inches tall. Moss is not related to lichen even tho they often appear in the same spots. Primitive humans used moss for all sorts of things that we cant imagine today, it was very important to them.

Movie was awful, nothing against Rob Zombie. In fact seeing all these positive comments on this video saying how great the movie is shocking. Been a horror fan for almost 40 years now and this one was very disappointing.

I have all of Rob Zombie's movies including this one. Was able to see him twice as well in concert, and both were amazing shows, the second one being with Alice Cooper in their "Gruesome Twosome" tour. Another well done story

So we took a trip to Maine and found your video on the Pet Sematary filming locations and found it super helpful for our journey there! A few days after leaving Maine, we stayed in Salem for a week and on our second day we were waiting in front of the Witch House and I was pretty sure we saw both of you walking by!
