  • This week I received a huge new tool for the business! I have set up a new CZcams site and web site for this line of business. If you're subscribed here, please do me a favor and subscribe to my new channel at: / @swvalandclearing
    www.swvalandcle...
This channel will definitely stay active, but I will be adding most of my forestry mulching activity to that channel. Thanks so much!

Earle would say 2 is 1 and 1 is none. Good to always have a backup
Joshua was wondering how much effort it would be to turn it into a tank... Heard it's already bullet proof, so you're almost there

    Great package!
I was surprised to hear you say that you kept your other bobcat though. Do actually need 2?
Or is just nice to have backup so you can always keep working?

TERRORoftheLORD Thanks! I could respond in so many ways. Let me pick a couple.
First, my philosophy is that it is much easier to keep something you already have than it is to acquire something that you don’t have. So I am better off keeping it unless or until I am sure I won’t need it again.
Second, this new machine is far larger and heavier than the old one, both of which cause lots of logistical problems. My current rig (773, custom trailer, and myriad attachments) works really nicely as a package, and I can’t just swap in the new machine because it won’t fit, and would be too heavy even if it did. So I anticipate that I will probably do a lot of what I was already doing with the old machine still, as it is easier to transport and fits all my attachments. Plus, I got the new one primarily to run as a mulcher, so that’s probably mostly what it’ll do.
Third, I recently hired a guy. There are plenty of jobs where it would be super nice to have two machines running. And once he is trained up, there’s no reason why we can’t be knocking out two jobs at the same time.
Finally, I just keep stuff. Even if I was just using the 773 around the house, or using it to move attachments and trailers around at the shop, it would still be worth having around.
Thanks! I was hoping you’d see this, as you were the one who asked back in July if you had missed the acquisition of a new machine. 😁

How much does that skid loader weight?

Sorry, I must've missed this one when it came in. The 770 is listed at about 10,500 lbs. The forestry mulching safety package probably adds several hundred pounds. The mulching head is about 2200.
