This was quite an unusual way to discover the amazing Floor Jansen. Usually people hear her with the symphonic metal band Nightwish. This was a Dutch tv programme where singers sing each other’s songs or songs that mean something to them. Floor, although Dutch herself was unknown to the rest of the singers and was introduced as a heavy metal singer. She then went on to amaze them by singing opera in German, singing in Spanish and doing the most amazing version of Phantom Of The Opera with one of the other singers.
Floor is 6’ 1” tall and has amazing stage presence. She is the most versatile and in my opinion the best female singer in the world today. If you continue your journey with Beste Zangers ( best singers) you will see Floor as a solo artist. Then listen to something like
“Storytime” by Nightwish and you will see Floor as a metal goddess.

Floor Jansen (is Dutch) is the Leadsinger from Nightwish ( Symphonic Metal)
Floor Jansen, one of the best singers of all time. Probably the best female metal singer ever. Can sing any genre only at the top level. Metal, rock, pop, classical, etc. From growling style to classical singing.
I definitely recommend getting to know Nightwish and the music written by Tuomas Holopainen (composer, lyricist keyboard player) and how Floor Jansen sings it. You have already received one suggestion and a link to Nightwish music. I suggest the same as an introduction to symphonic metal.
Floor is a Vocal Beast, she can sing everything from an Opera Aria till low deep growls like Tatiana from Jinjer and everything in between. Greetings from Germany. 🙂

Congratulations on a first - I have seen many Floor Jansen reactions and heard numerous people praising many aspects of her voice and physical attributes but, her teeth lol this is a new one.

Actually there isn't a crowd. The others are singers as well. In each episode of this TV show another singer is put into the spotlight and the other singers are singing a song, either that particular artist has sung themselves, or has been meaningful to them.
Another great performance of Floor that year was the song: About love I don't know a thing and the duet she did with Henk Poort at the last episode of the 2019 series: The Phantom of the Opera.
Floor Jansen is best known for being the lead vocalist for Nightwish (since 2013), which is a Symphonic metal band from Finland.
This year she will release her first solo album titled Paragon on March 24th. For which 4 singles has been released so far: Fire, Storm, Me without you and Invincible. The latter just last Friday.
